How many kids. Twins twice & the others were "sins" illegitimate that is. "Raised 8 boys...." That means all the girls & half the boys were "sins". I got a chuckle the first time I heard that.
Chris Rutherford assuming there were any girls that is; eight boys, four of which birthed as twins, and the four remaining boys as the illegitimate “sins” would satisfy all those parameters, as he only specifically mentions eight boys. Being that girls were never mentioned at all, we can only speculate if there actually were any. I’ve looked into this some, and there appears to be no consensus opinion. Recently, I’ve been wondering if the brown eyed WOMEN(plural, therefore not necessarily referring to Delilah Jones) could perhaps be Delilah’s daughters, all of whom had brown eyes and remind Jack of Delilah. Or perhaps their brown eyes were an anomaly among their family, a haunting reminder to Jack of their conceptions being the result of extramarital affairs by Delilah, contributing to his excessive drinking. Just some thoughts.
