i really liked the last deleted scene! i didn’t know todd was referencing a deleted scene when he tells his friends about it being the biggest train robbery in history. i also think it’s funny walt doesn’t consider that someone could’ve pulled off a bigger heist that no one ever found out about.

People say that? I thought he lied all the time. Off the top of my head: he lied about making his money from gambling and all that on the confession cd.
The meltdown to get Hank to leave came from a real place, I feel like he was telling the truth to make it believable. In another scene he even tells Hank about the money in the bag @bbbabrock Skyler was the one who came up with that lie and pretty sure told it to Marie and Hank
@@bbbabrock I don't think Walter actually ever directly confirmed or denied that to Hank. That's just what Skyler told him and Walter went along with it silently.
This was one of the first episodes my friends told me about when they were watching the show. When you started hinting that "nobody could know". My heart dropped
I never really made the connection, but at the end of the series you realise something. At the beginning of the series, it is mentioned (a few times I believe) that Walt “failed” Jesse when he was at highschool. But during the final scene with Walt looking at the equipment Jesse accurately calibrated to Walt’s standard, you realise that - in some way - Jesse actually ended up learning Chemistry through Walt’s teachings. Not sure if that makes sense, but it may be something interesting to bring up at some point
This episode was probably one of the most stressful out there: Walt almost got caught planting the bug; Lydia got interrogated; Yhe train robbery barely going according to plan.. What I love best about this episode though, is its soundtrack! Such an awesome and immersive work they did on that. Speaking of awesome work, thank you BetterWatchTV for your amazing content! I would have never thought of so much in this series without your guidance!
Nice production with the intro shots on the train and the train-contact sound effect when doing transitions. Didn't know about that deleated scene, cool.

When you mentioned Walter's conversation with Hank, and how he is telling the truth so he doesn't really have to act, the emotions were real. It reminded me of something that was mentioned in an excellent video essay series about Better Call Saul by the youtuber What's Therapy. His series studies the psychological depths of the characters throughout the series and I don't remember which exact video brought this up, but he mentioned how Jimmy does have actual emotions of vulnerability, sadness and remorse, but he only expresses these emotions when he is trying to manipulate someone. It's like he only sees those vulnerable emotions as tools for manipulation. The perfect example is in the episode Nippy, when Jeff slipped and fell during their Slippin Jimmy Scheme, Jimmy/Saul/Gene is distracting the guard with his cinnabon and making conversation. He then starts crying and talking about how he's completely alone, divorced, his parents are dead, his brother was on bad terms with him before he died. All of this is true, but he only did it to keep him from looking at the security cameras. We see his emotions were genuine when he has to collect himself after leaving the security guard's room. The next episode starts with him calling Kim in a desperate attempt to reconnect because he must have continued thinking about how alone he is.

I think this might be the episode where Walt spends the most screen-time as Heisenberg. It's also a perfect example of why Breaking Bad is not just a revolutionary show but my generation's the Godfather: Any other "episodic crime drama" of its time like Prison Break, etc. would've ended the episode with Lydia suggesting the train robbery and then dragged out the planning of the heist and then the heist itself over several subsequent episodes. But not Breaking Bad. They give us the suggestion, the planning, AND the heist in its entirety all in this one episode and THEN they leave us on a darkly existential cliffhanger you couldn't have possibly seen coming.
Not only did Todd bring a gun to the mission, but he also didn't follow a direct order. Jesse said No twice when Todd pulled the gun out, specifically ordering him to stop.
This is for next episode but I do find it funny how Mike didn't realize Todd had a gun until after the mission but can immediately notice when Walt has one just from one glance
2:03 Hank seriously had no troubles with allowing a personal (family related) conversation to happen in his workplace. On one hand, he was a seriously good brother in law. On the other hand a really biased cop.
the train graphic!!!! Its so cool!!!the channel just got an extra kick of nitrous, which ironically is when the show also gets its extra kick of nitrous and goes over and beyond what anyone thought! ill have to watch this after work sadly!!!
What a Badass episode!! I realized for every season, there’s always a big action scene or an episode with a big action scene. Like “Crazy Handful of Nothin’”, “Grilled”, “One Minute”, “Face Off”, and this is a great example. The entire train heist is so exhilarating and fast pace that it puts me on the edge of my seat!
Might have possibly kinda maybe sorta drew inspiration from this obscure TH-camr who goes over many unique details and thoughts that he spots in Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. Just maybe 😂
I'm elated to see the "Waltuh" counter receive a lot gains in this episode. Probably the most amount ever. But it still won't compare to the "Film Artifacts."
In my last rewatch i’ve focused on how many identical shots of the door in the white residence we get. every one with a different meaning (50th Birthday, 51th BDay, 52 BDay, the cousins, jesse when he wants to start a fire etc) That paired with the mention of the door painting from georgia okeefe is a real interesting aspect of the show in my opinion. Maybe you could go into detail on this or put a counter on all the door shots Every sunday i’m looking forward to your videos! Great job!!
Man that deleted scene really shows how high Heisenberg's ego has truly grown. He went from being skittish of Saul pulling up to his school to now confidently proclaiming he IS going to commit the biggest train robbery of all time (without even completing it yet). Though I do understand why it was cut out, when stakes as high as a train robbery are in place, it would be very stupid for them to stand on the rails waiting as they could audibly here the train coming
Insanely well done channel and series. I've binged the whole thing in less than a week. That being said, is there a breakdown on s5e4 or the later episodes of S1? I don't see them

Fun fact about Walt's TAG Heuer Monaco featured in this episode and many others in 5A and 5B: In 5.9 Gliding Over All, just before the prison-killings montage, when Walt sets that two-minute timer on his Monaco, he does so with his left hand [despite wearing the watch on his left wrist; he has two left hands], and has the date set wrong [It's said in Saul Gone that the murders happened on the 4th Oct, but the watch says it's the 10th]. Also, from what I can tell, he actually pushes in the watch's crown to set the timer hand in motion, not the button that actually initiates the stop watch. I've never owned one so this point might not be fully accurate.
11:22 Big trucks like this have two fuel tanks, that switch selects which tank the fuel is pulled from. Although even if he switched to an empty tank, there probably would've been enough in the lines to turn over the engine.
Mr detail tv man, there is one episode where walt says if he was to miss work an entire empire big enough to be listed on the Navteq or nastech or whatever would crumble and fall or something. Later in season 5 (or it might be el camino i dont remember) you hear over a radio that the nastech dropped a considerable amount since walt stopped cooking. Dunno if this is a point you'll get to point out but its cool nonetheless! EDIT: i think when he said the first part was when he was asking skylar "who do you think it is your talking to?"
13:07 ive worked with these exact tags, its not impossible to undo them in a way that would hide tampering but they just ripped them off in the show so its more likely that the manifest was altered during, before or after the heist to match the new tags because no 2 tags are similar, ever.

Nice!! I love discovering people’s favorites!
another funny detail about jesse's laptop at 4:00 is that the interface is based off Reason, the DAW. specifically Reason 5
Oh, I was wondering about that! Thanks!!
Woah did they use a real gun here? 13:56
I’d assume not, but I don’t know!
@@betterwatchtvthe gun was real and the parents of the kid signed an NDA. Nobody told the kid it was real so his reaction to getting shot here is genuine. Bravo Vince!
I think this might be the episode where Walt spends the most screen-time as Heisenberg. It's also a perfect example of why Breaking Bad is not just a revolutionary show but my generation's the Godfather:
Any other "episodic crime drama" of its time like Prison Break, etc. would've ended the episode with Lydia suggesting the train robbery and then dragged out the planning of the heist and then the heist itself over several subsequent episodes. But not Breaking Bad. They give us the suggestion, the planning, AND the heist in its entirety all in this one episode and THEN they leave us on a darkly existential cliffhanger you couldn't have possibly seen coming.
Well said!
Not only did Todd bring a gun to the mission, but he also didn't follow a direct order. Jesse said No twice when Todd pulled the gun out, specifically ordering him to stop.
That’s true!
I'm still blown away at the quality of work you're able to deliver so frequently. You deserve so much praise!
Thank you! Your appreciation helps to keep me going at this pace!
Its now cannon that Jagob_ owes you $20
Or do I owe Jagob_? 😳
I have never became a member of any channel before but this channel deserves all the love
Aww, thanks so much! Welcome!!
Love the Sopranos mention!! I hope you do a video on the Sopranos sometime
Maybe one day!
incredible episode, the episode that really cemented season 5 as an excellent season for me!
Makes sense! The most thrilling part of 5a, at least!
The intros are evolving
Sometimes a tweak feels warranted!
This has literally become one of my favorite YT channels in such s short time. I love it so much
Aww, thanks so much!!
Oh god dammit Dead Freight is a pun, isn't it?
I think so!!
i've been watching the rest of the episodes on this channel for 3 weeks to get here and now i'm finally caught up 🔥🔥🔥
Woo-hoo! Thanks!
very iconic episode was waiting for this episode for a while 👍👍
Nice!
I love being here when this guys still a small creator, definitely gonna see some growth in his future
Thanks so much for being along for the ride!
@betterwatchtv love me some underrated smallish creators, thank u for ur passion
Thank you! It’s a big deal for me to even be considered smallish, because until recently I was 100% small! 😂
6:17 DAMN ASAC Schrader does not mess around no matter whom
Just binge watched all your Hidden Details episodes. Can't wait for the next one. Greetings from Czech Republic
Awesome! Thanks so much!
6:31 I find it funny how MCR has a song called Cancer and the lyrics has "Aunt Marie" in it.
What if Emo McGee was listening to MCR???
Oh weird!
Keep em coming brother, these videos are insanely good
Thanks! Will do!
one of the best endings for an otherwise quite chill and well-going episode. it def deserves that 9.7 on IMDb
Definitely!
This is for next episode but I do find it funny how Mike didn't realize Todd had a gun until after the mission but can immediately notice when Walt has one just from one glance
Haha, so true! Great point!
2:03
Hank seriously had no troubles with allowing a personal (family related) conversation to happen in his workplace.
On one hand, he was a seriously good brother in law. On the other hand a really biased cop.
Definitely had flaws, and Walt took advantage of them!
Thanks for another awesome vid❤
Thanks for watching and commenting!
the train graphic!!!! Its so cool!!!the channel just got an extra kick of nitrous, which ironically is when the show also gets its extra kick of nitrous and goes over and beyond what anyone thought!
ill have to watch this after work sadly!!!
Thanks! That’s okay… the video will wait for you!
The single whistle is to warn that a locomotive is beginning to move forward. The ringing bell is from the locomotive as an at grade crossing warning.
Ah! Thanks!!
They should’ve had Huell help them instead.
Great point! I’m sure he could have thought of additional stall tactics!
Ah yes, Unstoppable force meets...
😂
Yeah, have Huell run the stall and Kuby do Todd’s tasks.
It might be a *little* physically demanding for Kuby!
Oh, that’s interesting. You have once again come up with an angle I hadn’t considered!
Might have possibly kinda maybe sorta drew inspiration from this obscure TH-camr who goes over many unique details and thoughts that he spots in Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. Just maybe 😂
This hilarious thumbnail and entertaining video, right on the day of my 26th birthday, is the best gift I could have ever had early in the morning. 🥳🎁
Woo-hoo! Happy birthday2️⃣6️⃣
@@betterwatchtv Thank you very much, Better Watch TV. I really appreciate it.
☺️
👏
🎂🎂🎂
Good to be back on this channel Busy preparing for my exams. Next week I will celebrate with brand new episode analysis
Nice! Good luck on your exams! The videos will wait for you, so be sure to prioritize them first!
I'm elated to see the "Waltuh" counter receive a lot gains in this episode. Probably the most amount ever. But it still won't compare to the "Film Artifacts."
Yep, there’s no catching it now! Although the next episode might be a record number of Waltuhs! Almost as if Mike’s running out of time…
@@betterwatchtv Don't let Jonathan Bank see this. 😭💀
In my last rewatch i’ve focused on how many identical shots of the door in the white residence we get.
every one with a different meaning (50th Birthday, 51th BDay, 52 BDay, the cousins, jesse when he wants to start a fire etc)
That paired with the mention of the door painting from georgia okeefe is a real interesting aspect of the show in my opinion.
Maybe you could go into detail on this or put a counter on all the door shots
Every sunday i’m looking forward to your videos! Great job!!
Thanks so much! I meant to look more into this. I do think it’s too late for a counter, but when I get to the starting a fire scene, I’ll look again!
@@betterwatchtv great i’m looking forward to it :)
keep doing what you’re doing!
watching this in school rn lets gooo
turn it off and study, watch this later
@@Sarkeysmusic im in study hall and i dont have any work today, so its just a free period
@@Civvie ah ok then enjoy the episode👍
😅
Man that deleted scene really shows how high Heisenberg's ego has truly grown. He went from being skittish of Saul pulling up to his school to now confidently proclaiming he IS going to commit the biggest train robbery of all time (without even completing it yet). Though I do understand why it was cut out, when stakes as high as a train robbery are in place, it would be very stupid for them to stand on the rails waiting as they could audibly here the train coming
True, although I'm guessing the primary reason they cut it was time constraints (enforced by AMC).
Would Jesse be strong enough to do all that stuff?
I know he's a young, skinny guy
but he is a recovering Meth addict
and he lives on fast food.
Good question!
Magnificent editing. I loved it.
Thanks! 🙏
10:47 i love how this has turned into a running gag 😂
Bought membership, u deserve it for ur effort man
Woo-hoo! Thanks so much!!
I wonder if Walter reminded Mike of Kaylee when he said "We're not done yet." Regardless, funny callback at 12:33.
Yeah, you’d think it would!
@@betterwatchtv I bet Mike relented than he other wise would have when getting mad at & having his tone of voice towards Walter.
Insanely well done channel and series. I've binged the whole thing in less than a week. That being said, is there a breakdown on s5e4 or the later episodes of S1? I don't see them
Thanks, and thanks for joining!! Yeah, four are currently missing (recently blocked due to copyright) so I need to upload new and improved versions. It’s just going to take some time since it’s hard just getting the new ones out on time!
Again, I love what you're doing here. I just wish you made longer episodes. And I am subscribed. How do I get a shout out?
Thanks so much! The shout outs are for channel members who join at the link in the description. Although I sometimes also highlight people’s comments if it’s relevant to a point I’m making!
Oh okay@@betterwatchtv
Thanks! I'll look out for this when I get there!
This channel deserves way more subs. Do you have plans to continue these with BCS?
Thanks! Yes, I will!
@@betterwatchtv Hell yeah. Me and my gf are doing a BCS rewatch right now, looking forward to it.
Woo-hoo! Thanks!
11:22 Big trucks like this have two fuel tanks, that switch selects which tank the fuel is pulled from. Although even if he switched to an empty tank, there probably would've been enough in the lines to turn over the engine.
Interesting. Thanks!
10:46 LETS GOOOOOO 🔥🔥
🙌🙌🙌
Mr detail tv man, there is one episode where walt says if he was to miss work an entire empire big enough to be listed on the Navteq or nastech or whatever would crumble and fall or something. Later in season 5 (or it might be el camino i dont remember) you hear over a radio that the nastech dropped a considerable amount since walt stopped cooking. Dunno if this is a point you'll get to point out but its cool nonetheless!
EDIT: i think when he said the first part was when he was asking skylar "who do you think it is your talking to?"
Yeah, that’s in El Camino. I’ll think about this when I get there! Thanks.
I love the skinny pete exits lol
13:07 ive worked with these exact tags, its not impossible to undo them in a way that would hide tampering but they just ripped them off in the show so its more likely that the manifest was altered during, before or after the heist to match the new tags because no 2 tags are similar, ever.
Ah! Modifying the manifest! That sounds like a possibility.
