Not only does it look pretty, but they're the only other thing visible in the frame, and they're so far away and out of focus. His final move before disappearing was to make skyler as much of a victim as he could so that the law would go easier on her. In order to do what's best for his family he has to become an absolute monster to them. Though incredibly selfish and immoral, Walt still loves Skyler. Saying those words must've been soulcrushing

Also feel like Hank’s comment of Walt being “the smartest man he ever met” is so cool. I think a lot of the reason he didn’t suspect Walt when things were obvious, is because he viewed Walt as weak. He didn’t think a man like Walt could be that powerful or evil. So this is both a true admittance of his feelings towards Walt, but I think it also bares regret, that Hank didn’t appreciate Walt enough before all this, and also betrayal, he’s really letting his anger fall aside and showing how hurt he feels by what Walt has done.
It makes me feel kinda bad because Jane is definitely Jesse's one true love, especially with how El Camino ends, but it's kinda sad for Andrea, especially with what happens next episode
13:10 in a previous episode, Gomey called Jesse a kid and Hank was the one to insist he was a criminal, but here Hank calls him a kid and Gomey's the one to disrespect him
11:06 another way means that Jack’s gang were gonna use Walt as a meth cook slave. They already had everything prepared for that one "final" cook Walt promised after they killed Jesse

Walt in Ozymandias, Granite Slate, and Felina is my favorite iteration of him. Still ruthless and without a moral thought in his head, all he wants is to free Jesse and to get money to his family. The only difference between the two is that Walt is now willing to do anything in his power to make those two things happen. Also, the Mr. Lambert character design with hair, beard, and generally rumpled appearance is so satisfying, it’s Walt as a shell of his former self, losing all motive except for the one that started it all.
@@Foxes763 the fact that badger and skinny pete didn’t know it was jesse cooking probably tipped walter off to the fact that he was some kind of prisoner, definitely think he went there with the intent to save jesse. otherwise why not just blow away the neo nazis first thing, then once they’re all dead he could go kill jesse personally. only makes sense if he lured them to get jesse so that he could protect him.
The fight in the home is essentially the climax of the story. It’s the single best scene in the show, down to some stellar blocking and simple camera work that keeps us in this uncomfortable moment. I’ve often described it as cathartic or too close to home, because it shows how all of this frustrations has been building and building. Walter’s lying the reveal of his secrets, the abuse against Skylar, it all comes to a head here in this scene. The placement of the knives and phone are masterful, and show how Skylar rejects enabling his behavior any further. Walt taking Holly is spiteful, and thing like this often happen in custody disputes in the real world. It really makes you wonder how we got here.
Walt making sure Jesse still got dragged, because he chose to blame him for everything that had happened is, to me, the most pure "Oh, you're a bastard" Walt moment.

A few details I've picked up on in one specific spot, and I might be over looking things: The fire station Walt leaves Holly at is ABQ fire station #20. As is custom in most fire stations, the truck the crew rides in is numbered same as the station, however you can see Holly was left in Engine 19, not 20. (They could've just been in a reserve truck at the time). Additionally in real life the fire station is a SHARED building with the police department, so Walt is probably making a very poor choice on where to make his phone call by, considering all officers would probably be looking for him. Also, I believe that it is the exact fire station that Gus pays a visit to in BCS 3x04. Great video as always and congrats on the record members!
@ Just scrubbed through and checked, it IS the same station, the exterior shot is on the opposite side of the station, pointing towards the street Walt was on

Hey hi! This might be a loose connection at best, but I just finished watching the S4E4 video, and I feel like there was parallelism between Major Tom and Gale. They are both professionals (Astronaut/Chemist) undergoing an extremely well planned and structured mission (NASA Space Flight/Meth Cook in Super Lab) that goes catastrophically wrong due to internal factors (Systems Failure(?)/Walter White Being Himself), resulting in their deaths (Stuck in Space/Getting Shot in The Head). Probs a stretch, but I thought I'd share anywho. Thank you for making these! Keep up the great content!! :)

I was just curious as to how it could stay on 10/10 for so long, and then when I checked, I saw extremely many 1/10 star ratings, which made me believe it was botting - but it could be legit ratings too of course. but if that's the case, then it's interesting IMDb flags them as spam or something similar since they don't affect the actual rating 😅
watching your weekly analysis videos has grown to become a routine of mine, and way back when i started watching at season 2, this episode was what i was most hyped for. through all the details and episodes ive watched and rewatched, it’s amazing how much you’ve grown as a creator! keep up the great work
Thank you so much!
The fact that this video is DOUBLE the length of most other analysis is a testament to how incredible this episode in particular is. I suspect that Felina will be similar
Yeah! No idea yet about Felina!
the fading RV to skinny Pete walking killed me 😂
Thanks!!
20:37 this scene man. You know an episode is good when the baby is on top of their game.
Haha, yeah!
19:33 I got an ad for therapy after he said this lol
This has become my absolute favorite channel, I get so excited when there is a new upload!
Thanks so much!!
I'm glad they took the "Youre the smartest man I know" that they finally did. The other one in the extras sounds so awkward (6:51).
Part of me kind of likes the "but you can't see," but definitely keeping the "smartest" vs. "stupid" makes sense!
@@betterwatchtv For sure, I think if Hank wasn't completely in ire at Walt, "but you can't see" would work. I think "stupid" conveys Hank's emotions and makes the line hit harder.
Good point!
Arguably the best episode ever, and I'd say it's your best analysis to date, which is saying a lot as they've all been magnificent!
Wow, thanks!!
Missed opportunity to reference the "Breaking Bad Habits" ad (where Walt says to keep litter out of his territory)
Ah, shoot!!! You're so right!
21:52 Bryan Cranston channels Hal again
Ooo, great info! And I made a note to check this out for BCS! Thanks!
@ Just scrubbed through and checked, it IS the same station, the exterior shot is on the opposite side of the station, pointing towards the street Walt was on
Nice! Great tip!
Just became a member because I do not want to wait 2 days just to watch this video. I regret nothing.
Amazing!!! Thanks so much!
I love that you call that an ad lib from the baby as if a baby could deliver prepared lines haha
Ha, right! That's why I said "it shouldn't surprise you..."
Watafak is 75!? I though 56 in Face-Off was ridiculous, this is just insane :D
Yeah! I assume this will be the most ever in one video!
Your videos make me look forward to Sundays, I love your editing
Thanks so much!
This is the exact moment ozy became mandias, and hank became fucking dead
I've been binge watching all of your videos since I found your channel around a week ago, keep up the awesome work man, I've been rewatching them in the background while I play games waiting for the next episode
Awesome, thank you!
75 details??? At 2 AM? BWTV.. this may be a bit late to Christmas, but this is the best gift yet.
I realize it’s not the best time of day for many members!
@ Watching it anyways! I’ve been up all night playing Spider Man for the PS5, also. WISCONSIN MENTIONED 🗣️
🎉🎉🎉
How can swinging a stick around be *too* cool looking 😭
I guess we’ll never know!
started watching you this summer and ill continue to comment this… your videos are so amazing man. Keep up the great work 🎉
And I’ll continue to thank you!

The view from halway down 💀
I don't know how that episode isn't a perfect 10 either, it hits like a belly flop into a pool off a balcony...
@@forehand101 no ozymandias has been scientifically measured and objectively determined to be 1% better than the view from halfway down
@@whereammy I said "either" dude, not that one is better than the other. They both deserve that perfect 10
Ok so I have like a favorite videos playlist on my channel and I am MOST definitely putting this in there. It’s a masterpiece. Thank You Better Watch TV for making this analysis. The editing had to have taken you all day and all night lmao. Seriously thank you for making this analysis
Wow, thank you!! Yes, all day and all night for many many many days!
Really happy for you, with these follows, members, and subscribers.
What's your patreon?
Thanks so much, and for being an important part of it! I had to check, but the Patreon is patreon.com/BetterWatchTV
i was so scared to see the vid when it popped up in the notifications i knew this would be an absolutely iconic video !!
Thanks so much!
17:00 you can really see how much flynn really loves walt and how hes tackling betrayal denial through only a few lines and scenes.
Definitely!
i’ve been waiting for this video for so long, worth the wait
Aww, thanks!!
I like it! Thanks, and thanks for joining!!
These always make my week, thank you. :D
Thank you, and thanks for being a member!!
Honestly for a character thats decently important it's kinda crazy how much of an unceremonious death Gomez got. I mean the episode startss and he is jsut dead.i honestly wish they had his dead on screen
Yeah! I guess they just had too much to pack in!
What do you really need to see in all honesty? It’s not like you even have to fill in the gaps. As soon as Jacks gang turn up you know the score. They did this perfect for me.
this is the exact channel my BB obsessed ass needed thank you
Awesome! Thank you for being here!
5:40 ironic that walt says "you can still walk out of here!" When hank clearly has a bullet in his leg and cannot walk.
Ha! 🙃
Interesting, since this is the 2nd time he was shot in the series, and had to learn to walk again after the 1st one. We all remember how much fun he had doing that
Yeah… Maybe that’s why he was so willing to die! 😳
SO GOOD! Thank you for making these and allowing me to appreciate this masterpiece at an even deeper level!
Wow, thank you!
I love this channel❤
Thank you!!
The Skinny Pete leaving is the best thing that happened in this channel. I hope he makes a comeback for when you do Better Call Saul next.
Haha, thanks! Skinny is going to hibernate during Better Call Saul, but he’ll be ready for El Camino!
3:17 hardly could focus on whatever the hell walt was talking about with Jesse’s sick ass moves in the background
The video I've been looking forward to for the whole holiday season. You rock!
Thanks so much!
The Hank-appella 😂
Thanks, and thanks for joining!
I've been waiting for this one for almost a year now, great job!
Woo-hoo! Thanks, and thanks for joining!
Look on my works, ye mighty, and despair! 👏
