It's so funny to me how after 6 months of rotting in a cabin in new Hampshire, all alone, doing nothing and eating canned food, and immediately after being told to die by his son and deciding to turn himself in, Walt IMMEDIATELY regains all his energy when he sees Elliot and Gretchen slandering him on the tv, and precedes to effortlessly do everything he wanted to do for the past 6 months in 3 days.
i think he makes this decision after the phone call with junior. giving his location to the police in the second phone call confirms it. the interview with schwartzes he saw on the tv just gave him a clear way to achieve his other goal - give the money to his family.
I saw an interview where Aaron Paul mentioned he talked to Robert 3 days before he passed away and then when he learnt about his passing he was sad he couldn't watch the movie, but then he got in touch with his family and they told Aaron that Robert managed to watch it and was very happy with it. Such a great actor who managed to work impeccably on Twin Peaks: The Return too despite his illness. Hero ❤️
I really hope that for Felina you make a reference to the alternate ending when Walter wakes up as Hal from malcom in the middle and tells his wife that he had a weird dream, and then the camera moves over to show the Heisenberg hat next to him
Robert Forster is such an iconic pick for The Disappearer that I completely forgot this was his actual first appearance. Rest in peace to such an awesome actor, I'm grateful he supposedly was able to watch El Camino before his passing

True, it's one of those cases when a character is indroduced very late in the story but he's so naturally charismatic that it feels like he perfectly belongs. Reminds me of Miles Dyson in Terminator 2, who's only in the movie for like 20 minutes near the end but he instantly feels like a main part of the cast. (and now that I think abut it, Dean Norris was in the very scene of Miles's death in T2! It's all connectred!)
I agree, it's an absolutely senseless killing with no purpose other than to maximize suffering. Most other major character deaths were accidental, the result of fucking with the wrong person, or done with the intent of protecting themselves. This wasn't.
When someone makes a "hidden details" style series discussing *this* series, they're going to notice that the last episode of this series was delayed because it took longer than anticipated to write as a call back to how the last half of BB Season 5 had to be delayed because it also took too long to write.

I love how defeated Walt says "Mr. Magoriums Wonder Emporium". But I would go insane too if I only had two copies of the same movie. Also the scene where Walt warms himself up is I think the last ever scene where Bryan Cranston was bald as Walter White. He wore a baldcap in Better Call Saul, El Camino and in the PopCorners commercial.
And quite cruel they didn't mention, hint at, or show any adult films. Essential material for a fugitive who plans on living in a cabin like a hermit. At the least it could have provided some Clerks-esque humor.

this is my fav episode, it should be noted granite is an igneous rock, a rock that forms from magma or melted rock, so to say, after killing hank and losing all his money (his hotness) he cools down (goes underground) and cools for months in the cabin another connection to the snow! as the rock only forms onced cooled, that i beleive is the true meaning of the episode name, walts state of mind, granite speicifcly is only formed when rising to the surface so that connects to the ending where gretchin and eliot bring walter back to the top! love your videos and i hope you had a great new years

The phone call with Junior shows Walt's narcissism quite clearly. In his mind, this was probably the last time he was ever going to speak to his son. He could have told him that he loved him, yet instead he merely gave him instructions on what he wanted him to do. Junior rightfully concluded that his father did not love him, and only saw him as a pawn in his game.

After watching BCS, I cannot look at the scenes with Walt and Jimmy in the hideout the same. When Jimmy asked Walt "if you could go back in time and change something, what would it be?", and Walt just flat out admitting that the only thing he would change is that he wouldn't have left the Gray Matter if he had the chance. All of the carnage he caused - he has no remorse for it. Very powerful

i hope that in felina you’ll mention that the main meaning behind the episode name is directed from the song played in the beginning of the episode “Feleena”. I believe the reason why people mess up because Felina is finale but with the words just mixed up and the letters in the word makes Fe: Iron, Li: Lithium, and Na: Sodium which is apparently how meth is made but that’s not how it’s done on the show. But in simpler words take your time with this final episode and try to enjoy making it the greatest finale is ON THE WAY WOOOOOOOO

I would say it's more merged than over looked. The notes it hits feel like it's a extension of one or the other. It flows so smoothly that you feel it was all in one or the other but then you realize it was it's own thing.

I didn't get to watch this one right away, but I've watched it through and through like 5 times so far. Absolutely love these, and this channel. As for delaying Felina, absolutely no worries. It's probably the most complex episode in all of Breaking Bad, and you've been maintaining an absoluely crazy schedule for the quality of these videos. I can only hope you're maintaining yourself well to keep up with the schedule. Remember that as well as the quality of the video, your own health matters over all. Closest FBI or DEA office is probably far enough that they'd figure Walt would get away by the time they got there. But you're correct they would probably ID not as "Police!" As a New Hampshirite, it can snow really whenever it feels like it here. If he was in a remote area up in the mountains, snow would make sense for March, April, maybe even May, and then August and September.
Jesse said to take his money and move out of that S hole neighborhood. If only she'd listened she could have been quietly living in Nebraska or some place enjoying some Cinnabon with Brock. One might argue her family got the worst end of Walt and Jesse's reign of terror. Within like a year her and brother got whacked, and her son was poisoned. The timing of her death seems close to Walt's return to town, I bet they pinned that one on Walt.
I live in NH and the weather doesn’t really match well unless he was super super far up north in the state. We have pretty much all four seasons pretty well meaning that during the summer it can get pretty hot and during the winter it can get pretty cold. March through September wouldn’t really have much snow as that’s usually our rainy season into summer then into fall. And the past couple of years we haven’t been getting much snow either, although sometimes we’ll have big storms come through that dump a ton of snow. I live in southern New Hampshire but I travel to northern NH regularly to ski and for vacation. There are sometimes that up north has tons and tons of snow. My parents have told me too that back then NH used to get feet upon feet of snow, but it hasn’t been that way for years. I hope this helps! :-). This actually happened to a girl I worked with a good 10 years ago. I think the gist of it was her boyfriend sold pot and some pirates kicked her door in to rob her, shooting her execution style in the process. When police arrived they found some of her kids (she had 4) trying to wake her up. I think they tried to kill one of the older kids who ran. It was right before Christmas, too, the story was in the news and our place of employment had a little table set up with her picture, many people came and dropped off Christmas gifts for her kids. I remember someone dropped off a little pink bicycle with tassles and a basket, something about the sight of it made your heart hurt.

I find it funny how Walt "only contributed the name of Gray Matter", yet he was a "brilliant man". Does that mean to show that the while Gretchen actually loved Walt, Elliot never really saw him as a friend? Or maybe it is the fact that Gretchen came in as a lab assistant, while Elliot has (presumably) always been on the same level as Walt?
You can't understand how your weekly videos make my mood better each time, it basically became my Sunday rendez-vous, a great video and a nice meal. I believe the reason why people mess up because Felina is finale but with the words just mixed up and the letters in the word makes Fe: Iron, Li: Lithium, and Na: Sodium which is apparently how meth is made but that’s not how it’s done on the show. But in simpler words take your time with this final episode and try to enjoy making it the greatest finale is ON THE WAY WOOOOOOOO
140 details in only 2 episodes! Wow! And also, this episode is so heartbreaking, especially Andrea's death and Walt Jr.(Or Flynn) Saying kys to Walter. And also, the final scene of this episode is soooo good! This episode is just as good as ozimandias and Felina, idk why people kinda overlook it.

I would say it's more merged than over looked. The notes it hits feel like it's a extension of one or the other. It flows so smoothly that you feel it was all in one or the other but then you realize it was it's own thing.

i just watched el camino couple days back and im pretty shure in one scene u can hear in the radio in someones car about a mother in hospital who was shot and is in bad conditions. and jesse even writes a letter to brock which ed is supposed to get to him when they arrive in alaska. so im kinda confused at this point lol. but yeah its always been the saddest ep for me...

As for delaying Felina, absolutely no worries. It's probably the most complex episode in all of Breaking Bad, and you've been maintaining an absoluely crazy schedule for the quality of these videos. I can only hope you're maintaining yourself well to keep up with the schedule. Remember that as well as the quality of the video, your own health matters over all. Closest FBI or DEA office is probably far enough that they'd figure Walt would get away by the time they got there. But you're correct they would probably ID not as "Police!" Jesse said to take his money and move out of that S hole neighborhood. If only she'd listened she could have been quietly living in Nebraska or some place enjoying some Cinnabon with Brock. One might argue her family got the worst end of Walt and Jesse's reign of terror. Within like a year her and brother got whacked, and her son was poisoned. The timing of her death seems close to Walt's return to town, I bet they pinned that one on Walt.

I live in NH and the weather doesn’t really match well unless he was super super far up north in the state. We have pretty much all four seasons pretty well meaning that during the summer it can get pretty hot and during the winter it can get pretty cold. March through September wouldn’t really have much snow as that’s usually our rainy season into summer then into fall. And the past couple of years we haven’t been getting much snow either, although sometimes we’ll have big storms come through that dump a ton of snow. I live in southern New Hampshire but I travel to northern NH regularly to ski and for vacation. There are sometimes that up north has tons and tons of snow. My parents have told me too that back then NH used to get feet upon feet of snow, but it hasn’t been that way for years. I hope this helps! :-). This actually happened to a girl I worked with a good 10 years ago. I think the gist of it was her boyfriend sold pot and some pirates kicked her door in to rob her, shooting her execution style in the process. When police arrived they found some of her kids (she had 4) trying to wake her up. I think they tried to kill one of the older kids who ran. It was right before Christmas, too, the story was in the news and our place of employment had a little table set up with her picture, many people came and dropped off Christmas gifts for her kids. I remember someone dropped off a little pink bicycle with tassles and a basket, something about the sight of it made your heart hurt.

My take is that they're lying, to help distance themselves!
