Both have their pros and cons; I think for the build quality, chessup did it better. Chessup 2 is like Chessup 1, except that they now added some more features like piece recognition that Evo already has, a screen, etc.
Does the chess have piece recognition? I think you are wrong when you say the eco is not ideal for learning. It has a lot of features to learn and analyse. It can even recognize boards from TH-cam video's.
Hi, EVO is also suitable for training. I meant that Chessup has training features that are not included in the EVO, such as the ability to see blunders and best moves. The chessup board doesn't have piece recognition, whereas the EVO does.
Yes, it is quite pricey for the bag. I suppose it goes to manufacturing costs and branding. You could also do with a sleeve for protection. A laptop bag is fine so long as you can find one for it's size. I used a cheap pouch for one of my chess computers.
@@roqsteady5290 Yeah I realised that already. I am now thinking to get something like a plastic, transparent cover (like for a turntable) to put on top of the Evo when it's not in use. But where to get such a thing? It needs to be 24 inches on a diagonal
Apologies. Chessnut Evo playing area comes to 28cm².
Are you sure? That would be tiny. Or did you mean it's 28cm*28cm, that would be an area of 784cm^2.
Great comparison, waiting for the same when you have the chessup 2
Better question is Chessnut Evo or Chessup 2. I think in that case it would be chessup 2?

Thank you
Thank you!
You're welcome!
What an amazing news??? (first chess computer >> 1977)
I really am done with Chessnut. Issues are coming and going. And coming again. I sell my Evo and Air.
What kind of problems? Could you please elaborate, if it isn't too infuriating to remember them?

Chessup lets you use your phone, Chessnut makes you buy another phone
Chessnut evo for me but why does the bag costs 75 GBP (British Pounds). That's insane! I plan to buy something like 17" inch laptop bag for it instead

It isn't the kind of thing you would want to carry around :).
