I didn’t see the appeal at first but the fact that it can be used WITH online chess sites, makes it like a video game controller. Which is cool and practical.
Yeah, that's the real selling point. Chess sets that teach you how to play chess with advanced strategies have been around forever. I have one from 1998. The ability to play a real person in real time with a physical board from practically anywhere is what's going to sell that board.
$500.00 US for a video game controller that doesn't feature augmented reality?

I'm 57. When I was a boy my older brother gave me an electronic chess set where you had physical pieces. Novag was the brand. I loved it, playing a program at level 1-8, admittedly level 8 took up to 20 minutes (I seem to recall) to move. Powered by a 9V battery. It's not really that complicated to learn FFS, and a physical electronic chess set isn't new. I learned the rules by playing people. That's the way to do it.

It would be amazing if the chess board could remotely link up with another chess board and have a screen or hologram of your opponent.
I used to watch shark tank india but judges in shark tank india usually demotivatenand depress the pitchers take advantage of new business guys by picking deal at low valuations but usa version is far better they never demotivate any pitcher❤

The episode only aired just over a year ago (December 9, 2022), and later was shown in a re-run in Feb. 2023. Seems like the episode gave them a boost in sales, but the current company valuation is “only” 3 million. I say “only cause they valued it at 6 million when seeking a deal here.

Buncha baloney. Chess is 80% just online now. Who cares about physically touching the pieces. The red and green squares don't really teach you anything. There's free tools that you get you to amateur level easily.
