    Thanks for the interesting video and insights. I started speedskating with 3x125 but now I use 4x110 all the time bc 3x125 requires more power to exploit the potential. As soon as it's windy or uphill 4x110 is therefore more powerful for me. I have not done the Berlin marathon but it might be one of the good occasions for the 3x125 in my case :)

    Great explanation, Pascal. I do all my training on 4x110’s and sometimes even 4x100’s just for the added control. Then when it’s time for a long skate or I just want to go fast and have fun, I’ll put the 3x125’s on.

      Hi, could you explain your experience with the 4x110 vs 4x100 in one sentence - dont konw what you mean by "more control" - Thanks!

      @@MrLele3000 smaller wheels means closer to the ground.. the closer to the ground you are the more control and stability you have plus it takes less on ur feet, ancles and knees.
      Higher wheels require more strength and you have less control/stability.

    I have both setups (unfortunately not Powerslides tho) and I was hoping the 3x125 was going to show a marked improvement in speed, but at the moment I’m liking the 4x110. Maybe I just need to get used to the 3x125’s? I actually feel as tho the 125’s don’t handle the rough roads as good as the 110’s! Wtf? I figured it should be the other way around. Maybe the 4x110 span the roughness better?

    • @eastclintwood7153
      @eastclintwood7153 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      That is normal bc triskates have bigger gaps between the wheels.
      Also if you dont take part in competitions avoid 3x125. It's less fun to skate compared to 4x110.

    • @KevGoesRiding
      @KevGoesRiding 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Bigger wheels roll better over rough surfaces but triskates have a certain see-saw behaviour over bumps where it pivots over the center wheel that I do not like at all

    Thank you for your sage advice Pascal 💛 was wondering if you'd quickly be able to describe (I don't know if you've skated them) the feeling and or benefits / downsides to the 125/110/110/125 setup found on Powerslide's DH350 frame? Thank you in advance...

    What’s the disadvantage of using 3x110 vs 4x110? I want a lighter setup with 3x110 but is there a big disadvantage?

    • @PowerslideInlineskates
      @PowerslideInlineskates  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      disadvantage would be that 3x110 will roll less than 4X110 but big advantage is that you can get a shorter from to it's easier to drive it. Based on your question i suggest you choose a 3X125mm set up to get super roll when needed and downsize the wheels to 110 when you need more agility ...and in both case it wil be light. • @PowerslideInlineskates

      On track you can use hilow or 4X110.... definetly 3X110 would be very slow. Having less wheels is an advantage only if you can use bigger wheels but as track is limited to 110.... i suggest hilow if you look for a shorter frame and 4X110 is the length is not a problem.

      @@PowerslideInlineskates I heard a lot of people say that with 4x110 will get you maximum speed especially on the downhill compare 3x125 I guess it's because of that extra Tire will give you more stability to pick up speed going downhill that's why Sandro Bovo reached 70 mph on 5 wheels. He used more wheels on that decline compared to less Wheels. Also that why all the Inline downhill competitions are always with four wheels and above.

      @@PowerslideInlineskates you forgot one factor the lower you are to the ground the faster you are the higher you are off the ground the slower and unbalanced you could be that's why I say the more Wheels you have the faster you go yes the bigger wheel is fast but also if you have big wheels and more then 3 and lower to the ground lets put an example 4x110 vs 3x125, the 4x110 will most likely be the fastest out of each other. That's why all the competition racers that go downhill to reach max speed will only use four wheels and above I've never seen 3 wheels why cuz the more whells get you the max speed you will get without feeling unstable cuz your too high off the ground. Who has the record for Top speed in inline rollerblades? Again its Sandro Bovo doing 70 mph and he's using 5 wheels and he's in the Guinness book of record. If he used 3 wheels he would never get to his max and probably go off balance going that fast downhill.
