- What happened in Day 3 of the Mistaken Rideshare Murder Trial - SC v. Nathaniel Rowland - Yesterday, an investigator showed jurors the suspected murder weapon, plus clothes with apparent blood on them, saying they were found in a trash can at the home of Rowland’s girlfriend at the time. Rowland faces murder and kidnapping charges in the death of 21-year-old Samantha Josephson.

Ever since this monster murdered this beautiful woman I'm more cautious when jumping into an uber car.
I know that’s right. I’ve been following this case since Day 1 and I’m definitely not getting into any Taxi,Lyft or Uber.
Makes me so nervous when waiting for my uber at night. Everyone make sure your uber plate number on ur app matches the car your jumping into.

Uber gives you the drivers license plate number and model of car so the few times I've used the ride share I made sure I'm getting into the right vehicle. I still find it kind of creepy using the platform. My last ride the driver had a road rage attack,he was freaking out on another driver putting us all in danger basically over nothing. It was very scary. He was unstable angry idiot. I don't use any of them now.

If he didn't physically kill her, he definitely knows who did and helped with atleast the aftermath and if he's not willing to "snitch" then he's gonna go down for the whole thing.
Think she got in the front seat. Which could have been someone in back who pulled her there and assaulted her while he was driving or parked somewhere. Maybe someone with deviant perversions paid him to drive around and look for a prostitute or something. Otherwise no injuries or anything can it be explained how he could have committed the crime?

In 1992, a USC coed and friend named Dail Dinwiddie went missing from the same area after a U2 concert. These were in the times before Uber, but it’s widely believed that she left in a taxi. This area is ripe for rapists and murderers, as most everyone is totally wasted upon leaving . 🙏🏼 for justice in this case and Dail’s.
People don't want it but we need better big brother in full force in public night spots to keep people safe from these depraved people.

If he isn’t guilty , and they still charge him , I don’t feel bad for him being locked up , because he’s either not going to snitch , and there for you take the heat for someone else , either way he’s involved to a degree , his car , trying to sell the victims Cell phone , he wasn’t at no party . So he’s guilty even if he isn’t guilty of the crime. He wants to take the blame then go for it . But I know crimes can be committed with out leaving DNA behind . They’ll find something . Nathaniel Rowland is fully covered with a hoodie and pant set and has blue nitro gloves. He wouldn't have marks or dna on him..smdh Samantha was being stabbed over an over and the scratches on her were from being dragged across the ground prob the same with her fingernails. So if I were the prosecutor I'd say to the jury " If your covered fully and gloves how would you have scratches or a dna transfer"? I'd burst that bubble for the defense asap. 👆😌Also this wasn't a sexual assault so there goes that DNA so no way to even get touch dna on her when he's covered head to toe. That's why he wore tobaggan and hoodie both. He's GUILTY and a POS period!
There's more to this case!
So, if there is no DNA of anyone, whatsoever, on the victim, does that mean that she was murdered by nobody? No! So what we can say is that not all killers leave behind DNA. Maybe there was DNA but it was missed by forensics. So just because the suspects DNA is not found on the victim that does not mean that he is not the killer.
If there is no DNA maybe he had gloves on? In the opening statement the defense said they would prove the DNA wasn't his. So is there DNA? She was intoxicated so was she fighting or just being thrown around by him while he stabbed her with gloves on?

the defendant has preplanned it pretty well - the way he was wearing gloves even being used when he was cleaning the car of blood, as the gf testified. Not surprising the victim's dna was not found on her. I thought I read that her DNA was found under his nails.

I remember when Uber first came out. My first thought was, how do you know definitively that that is your car and driver pulling up to you? My heart breaks for this woman and her family. I'm so glad changes have been made to identify ride sharing companies. I hope what happened to Samantha never happens again. 💔
They have license plate on the app as well as car description and the name of the driver. They just recently came out with a code as well. Where you and the driver must verify a code given to you before you ride. Not to say that Samantha should’ve paid more attention. Don’t get me wrong mistakes happen. But I wish for the sake of her life she had been a tad more cautious. Awareness can make all the difference. Unfortunately we live in a world where a simple mistake of a car ride can possibly mean life or death.

Everyone is entitled to a defense in this country. I've been on the side of wrongly accused. It's hell. Not saying this defendant isn't guilty, just that we need defense every time we are accused.

Hers was. He wasn’t on her. He may be someone who doesn’t shed much DNA. Others can shed DNA like it’s snowing.

Yes, her blood is on the clothes they found and his DNA does show up on her skin. The problem seems to be that other DNA is jumbled up with more than one person. They may not have taken the sample from the right place, she had been in a bar so lots of other DNA on her and her clothes, he was covered up so much only a bit of skin showing around his eyes, her broken nails and abrasions could be from her trying to get out of the car. May be the first case in decades NOT decided by DNA but by common sense.
Something surreal about an investigator, pregnant with a new child , testifying...she will bring baby into this awful world where Nathaniel Rowland stabbed to DEATH, HORRIFICALLY, another's Family child, Samantha Josephson 120+ times. God help them.

Tried to use her ATM. Had her cell phone. Her blood in his vehicle. I'll speculate that he either wore something that absorbed the blows she delivered or he did something else he'd read would work.
I thought he was guilty from the start and kinda still do, but I do have my reservations. How is it possible that none of his DNA was on her? really strange. I am a big believer in circumstantial evidence though and there is a lot here.
Today, Friday, there was video of the man who attempted to use her debit card nine times. He had hoodie, thick leather looking jacket, gloves...he was wearing thick layers of clothes. His head, face, body, hands and legs were fully covered. After seeing that I’m not surprised at all.

In my opinion the two most damning testimonies so far are of the girlfriend and the dna specialist. The family needs to thank the girlfriend , she coulda went on the stand and played stupid saying she don’t know nothing about nothing. She did the right thing and testified against him. They found his dna under Samanthas fingernails. The reason he looked shook when she banged on the door is because he thought it was the cops. He looked heavily layered when trying to use her card , he looked like he had hoodie underneath a leather jacket. Maybe why his dna wasn’t on her.
If I didn’t do such horrific things to a person, you can bet I’m getting on that stand. Watching him look at the forensic photographs of her mutilated body, his reaction did not change. He was not bothered by such horrific images. The average person would definitely be affected. He feels no remorse. He’s a psychopath. His parents believe so much in his innocence. They don’t even realize they raised a monster. Probably spoiled him rotten from birth.
If he states that he was at a party, but no one saw him there, then there is one strike against his alibi !!!, Next question..........
