- Today was a big day of testimony in the #MistakenRideshareMurderTrial. Nathaniel Rowland’s ex took the stand and described the blood she saw in his car. Rowland is accused of kidnapping and murdering 21-year-old #SamanthaJosephson after she allegedly mistakes his car for her uber rideshare.

Someone got into the back of my friends car thinking it was an UBER. They both were stunned for a minute, but my friend isn’t a crazed psychopath so it is just a funny thing that happened. I wish this woman got into my friends car or someone like her, she might have been driven to her dorm for her safety. This is so sad, I can’t stand it.

My poor MIL was trying to pick up her daughter downtown Nashville and she said on 2 different times people tried to open her car door. They were looking into her window asking if she was Uber..poor lady!
It boggles the mind how many men go ahead and murder women when when given the smallest window of opportunity. Sick!

I think its safe to call this one a slam dunk, he would have been better off pleading guilty and throwing himself on the mercy of the court, jury is gonna fry him

she became his Ex when she realised he murders Woman , she wasn't his Ex at the time , think you should state that .and with your opening statements and headline you made it sound like shes out for some kind of revenge . she was his girlfriend at the time of the crime . and i think shes a good girl, and has no reason to fight his corner or make stuff up to frame him .

After years of watching
trials, this case is one of the saddest. My heart truly goes out to the victim's family and friends. A senseless death.
I always felt bad that Nurmi had to defend Jodie Arias. It was so obvious that he disliked her.
He told the jurors during her trial that “ 9 times outta 10 he don’t like her” 😂😂
Me too. He lost his job and got cancer subsequent to her trial.

I never believed in capital punishment before , but in defense for our population, we need to remove these sickos. They’re now letting these creepers out of prison. Every person that does a cold blooded killing like this should receive immediate execution to protect society.

No objections? Is he defending himself? How does she get to say its blood? He will likely be found guilty. Did this guy kill anyone else? A rape turned murder? Tragic.
I believe the ex girlfriend asked where was her visor and the defendant said that it had blood on it and it’s in the country. She then assumed all the other dried red spots in the car were blood.

@@stevebutler812 Forensics have proven it was the victim's blood in the car. The defense would be wasting their time questioning how she knew it was blood. That fact has already been established that the ex was correct. It WAS blood.

I always wonder at the end of the video how the reporter feels when they plaster the Court TV logo over their face while they are trying to finish their comment.
Interesting to hear he wanted to fire his attorneys on Monday. I hadn’t heard that. The gentleman sitting next to NR seems to be losing his patience at times. Subtly but I see eye rolls and pen tapping. The fact that the defendant felt confident enough to take this to trial speaks volumes. He is like most murderers and thinks he is smarter than everyone else. It won’t take much intelligence to come to a guilty verdict on this case.

I love how he's constantly writing in his little notepad and post-it-notes l know attorneys tell clients to do this so they look engaged to the jury. I can't wait to see the live verdict for this garbage he could barely look at the autopsy photos.

Nathaniel is feeling some semblance of the dread Samantha must have felt riding in that car. His days as a free and possibly living man are short.
The only way a case with this much evidence is NOT a slam dunk would be if the defendant were famous. And he ain't.
Did she make a 911 call? Even though it would have been hard to track her immediate location and destination in the moving car, the murderer must have been worried about this and might have had to take her phone away as soon as she started screaming at him to let her out of the car. Considering she realized he was not an Uber just minutes into the ride
would possibly make him stop the car close to where he picked her up to prevent any attempts to call the police

The ex is a liar. The only reason she went to police is because she didn't want to be implicated. She knew and I don't think he did this alone.

I wonder why the defendant didn't have any injuries, scratches, or black and blue marks on his body from the struggle.

From what I think I remember, he picked her up from outside a club. Makes me think that he used to go there specifically to pick up college kids. This time I think he conned a woman to get in his car whereas before he probably slimed the women with typical pressure pick up lines.

when ever i call i certain taxi cab compamy i always make sure it's for me. i would always ask the driver who are they picking up until they tell mention my name...if they don't know...hit the road Jack !!..the woman that died...her friends should of made sure that it was an uber driver ( right credentials )
It would have been nice if her friends had done so, but it wasn't their responsibility.

Sorry for the dumb question here but I can't find day 3 testimony of ex girlfriend on law and Crime. I have the trial in my library and on day 2 they called it day 3 in court. Confused 🤔

I do not agree with suspects being masked while sitting in a courtroom. Their facial expressions are important in this situation especially if there is a jury present.
The evidence is what matters.
