    Thanks. I'm that one guy who turned him back into a truck and couldn't figure out how to align the side panels thanks to those pegs. Thanks, you helped +1 person.

    Thanks for the video , the instructions don't mention the tabs in the abdomen on the front wheel piece. The instructions are just like "flip it around" . Mine wouldn't move and in your video you mention there are tabs there. bravo man !

    Was following you doing this, if you can get the arms lined up with the rest of the cab and adjust the side panels accordingly, that square peg will go right in there and be flush. I also found out the smokestacks lock the biceps in place. Phew! Thanks for this video though!

    Very nice transformation video. Easy to see what's doing what. For me personally though, it's easier for me to follow if you focus on one limb/part at a time instead of jumping back and forth between left and right.

  • @radbuster4403
    @radbuster4403 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    this video is essential for going back to truck mode, the part where you need to pull the side of the legs apart, there is that blue piece that you removed first that exposes the tires, that step isn't even in the instructions, you could easily break the legs if you tried to do it by force, thanks for posting!

    In a rare moment I actually gave this video a Like because:
    a/ I did genuinely like it and found it useful, and...
    b/ It didn't ask or tell me to Like or Subscribe to anything! :D
    I personally REFUSE to "Like" any video that tells or asks me to do so. It's just an uncivilised practice that does not need to exist. If people genuinely like something then they know how to click a Like button. We don't need to be told! Thank you for not treating your viewers as idiots and addressing them in a condescending manner like so many others do.

    • @TMan978
      @TMan978  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I appreciate the like but honestly, a lot of people do that because it's suggested to them buy TH-cam themselves.
      Also as much as I trust my audience to have good common sense and reason(....ha!) sometimes, you can enjoy a video and forget the press the like button or, the way TH-cam force-feed videos to people nowadays, you can be following a channel for a while and never be really subscribed. I'm watching the video game channel right now almost daily and I'm not a subscriber.
      So a suggestion I would give, that you don't have to take of course, is that you not be offended by this practice.
      I have several videos where I do actually mention liking and subscribing. I try to keep my how to videos as straightforward as possible though.
      Thank you for watching and liking.

    Your video helped so much. This thing is very complicated. The high price makes this video very needed. Can't afford to break a fragile part like I did on my Megatron. Made it to robot with no broken parts. Not sure if I'm going to try transforming back to truck mode.

    To be fair, while cuts during transformation look nicer, I also want to see the full transformation so I know how much difficulty the reviewer is having with the figure.

    • @TMan978
      @TMan978  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't want to put anybody through that. My goal is to keep a person's interest the whole time.
      You may be cool with that but my analytics tells me not everyone is.
      If it eases your mind any, just know that jump cuts were me doing something incorrectly and not having difficulty. He's honestly easier to transform than you would think after the first time.

    • @AlexReynard
      @AlexReynard 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TMan978 Fair enough. You do what's best for the channel. I just know that, like, Peoplesdru and Channel Cube can make any transformation look easy and elegant, and then I see the full process and feel my wallet slam shut.

  • @bobagorof
    @bobagorof 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Nice video. Great job.
    Unfortunately this transformation is far too complicated, considering how simple Optimus's transformation is in the G1 cartoon. I understand that Masterpiece requires a more intricate/elaborate process, but having to explode the figure really ruins it for me. Pulling cab pieces off and storing them in the legs... there's no nostalgia value in that for me.
    Anyway, thanks for taking the time to walk through the transformation both ways!

    • @TMan978
      @TMan978  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      There's no way in the world that they can make that truck look like that robot without having an elaborate transformation. They didn't make it complicated for the sake of making it complicated.
      The cartoons didn't lend themselves for realistic transformations. Bumblebees feet shrink considerably to the point that you can never really reproduce that. His chest and robot mode is completely a different shape from the vehicle. Several other Transformers fall into this like Ironhide and Ratchet.

    • @bobagorof
      @bobagorof 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TMan978 Disagree it needs to be that elaborate. The front grill doesn't need to flip over the top of the shoulders to get to the back, for example. (I'd prefer it to compress and stay as the ab-grill, but I realise that's wishful thinking). Having the windows open 180 degrees just to flip around and show the back of them for a slightly different sculpt. Etc.
      Obviously they want to have a certain look in both modes, but for an iconic character like Optimus the transformation is as much a part of the appeal as the two modes - for me anyway. He's never depicted as exploding to get from one form to the other.

      At this point it feels like MP65 is going to be Prime v4, except it features a non transforming figure with a scale accurate vehicle accessory that's perfect in both modes
      Like good grief what actually became robot mode from the truck?
      The shoulders, some of the backpack and the heels.
      Literally everything else was accomplished by hiding the pesky truck mode by folding the whole thing inside out.
      While I admire how much work went into this, i personally feel this lacks what I loved so much of the MP line from 10-30

    MP-44 Optimus Prime needs a remold. Here is what I want to see in version 4 Masterpiece G1 Optimus Prime: a cartoon-accurate truck mode (Both front and back) and a cartoon-accurate robot mode (Front and back). In truck mode in the back, no robot mode kibble and in robot mode, no huge backpack kibble. That's what I want to see in version 4 Masterpiece G1 Optimus Prime.

    • @TMan978
      @TMan978  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I pretend the robot kibble is trailer hitch junk

    • @Magnazar-nx6wz
      @Magnazar-nx6wz 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Idk, I think version 2 was perfect, I didnt think we really needed this figure. Plus I don’t like that 95 percent of the actual truck disappears, and the robot mode cheats like there’s no tomorrow. The fake window chest killed it for me, I get why Megatron v2 has a fake chest, it needed to be like that to make the bot mode work, I don’t think mp44 needed a fake chest, mp1 and mp10 does the real one perfectly fine.
