I put a 6.5 lift pump on my 2003 LB7 a couple of years ago. Works great and cost about $25 off ebay plus a few dollars for the nipples and relay and wiring a little over 50 total.
No, you cannot. This is for 01-16 trucks only. VSE has a fuel system saver that runs a dual filter setup that can be found here: dmaxstore.com/products/vse-fuel-system-saver-2024-l5p
So I own a 2016 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD Duramax diesel. The only thing it has is a cold air intake. It’s stock what would be the best Air dog lift pump for my truck.
An AirDog 100 would be good for up to 650 hp, if you ever plan on making more power than that then I would recommend the 165. We currently are running these on a sale here: dmaxstore.com/products/?route=product/category&path=707_3369
2008 gmc 2500 5 inch straight pipe and efi live 5 tunes biggest tune I was told is 180hp what lift pump do I need? I keep hearing different answers air dog says 150 or 165
Alrighty. Thank you for replying still 3 years after posting this! Gonna be installing one soon. I was planning on going with a FASS 100, which would provide me w better and longer lasting parts?
The Fleece lift pump is a good design, we prefer AirDog lift pumps as they have been extremely reliable for us as well as give an extra level of water separation and fuel filtration that will provide clean fuel to the fuel system.
Usually we recommend the AirDog II-4G 165 for anything 2004.5-2016. If you have no plans of adding power then the AirDog II-4G would be a good choice as well.
I have a 2002 chevy 2500hd lb7 duramax. Im getting ready to order the injector kit from you guys. Will i have to do anything to the air dog lift pump that is in the kit. You were saying in the video that you have to cut something to get the fuel pressure down. thanks
yes, if your truck is using the stock size fuel injectors and injection pump you will likely have to cut the spring down in order to get the fuel pressure low enough for it to run correctly.
Do you ever get bad fuel mileage after lift pump install. I got a fass 150 in my lmm and my fuel consumption has almost doubled. And that's hand calculated
The 2020 trucks come from the factory with a lift pump, I would not really recommend to change it unless your are fully tuned with bigger injectors and turbo.
My friend just purchased a 165 for his lb7 because I have one on my LBZ. mine has an adjustable fuel pressure trim knob, would he be ok running a 165 if we turned the pressure knob down from the factory 7-10 to around 4-5?

Just get the delete bowl. Keep a fuel filter with you at all times. You can put that on if you have any problems
Can I use that filter on my Silverado 2500 HD 2025?
No, you cannot. This is for 01-16 trucks only. VSE has a fuel system saver that runs a dual filter setup that can be found here: dmaxstore.com/products/vse-fuel-system-saver-2024-l5p
If lift pumps help avoid failures of pumps and injectors... Why GM doesn't install them from factory?
Since 2017 GM has installed lift pumps from the factory with the L5P engines.
@Dmaxstore What is your honest opinion about the BD VENOM FUEL LIFT PUMP for a 03 LB7? Thank you.

2009 lmm still under warranty. Should i mess with it......?

I would recommend the Airdog II-4g 165 or the Airdog II-5G 165 for that application.
@@Dmaxstore it won't foam up and cause 1/4 tank issues?
No, we haven't experienced 1/4 tank issues with any of the airdogs. We have this same set up on one of our personal trucks as well.
Guess this will be a mod I get when i finally get my hands on a duramax
What pump should I use for my 02 LB7? It only has a cold air intake. The only thing that isn’t stock.
The AirDog 100. Watch the video at 1:25
Alrighty. Thank you for replying still 3 years after posting this! Gonna be installing one soon. I was planning on going with a FASS 100, which would provide me w better and longer lasting parts?
Airdog seems to last longer, have an easier installation and are quieter as well.
@@Dmaxstore damn, just bought the FASS this morning. Thanks though!

LLY-LMM What about the LBZ model? require 7-10 PSI also?
LLY-LML are all set to the same pressure, around 7-10 PSI
Lly toooooo lmm
What pump would you recommend for a 09 durmax?

How often do you have to change the filters on the air dog & the stock fuel filter once the air dog is installed?
We recommend to change them every 15,000 miles.
What if you don’t do 15000 miles a year?
@@wallyworld28 I would change them every year or 15,000 miles whichever comes first.
What if your running 45% injectors on lb7
I just put a 165 on my LB7 i plan on adding more powerr in the future is there anything u recommend i do til then?
There is a bunch of stuff that you can do, from steering/suspension, drivetrain or powertrain... Just depends on what you want to achieve.
Do you ever get bad fuel mileage after lift pump install. I got a fass 150 in my lmm and my fuel consumption has almost doubled. And that's hand calculated
No, that should not be happening. Feel free to send me an email to jaked@dmaxstore.com and I will try to help you diagnose the issue here.
Isn't there a factory lift pump on the frame? On a 2007.5 lmm?
All duramax trucks don't have a lift pump until the new l5p trucks. So no your LMM does not have a factory lift pump
Are you connecting it via a tank sump or filler tube?
The AirDog uses the factory fuel pick up and the fuel return goes to the filler tube.
I don’t have room on the filler tube due to my aux fuel tank T tap. Recommendations?
@@mikef6706 You will have to make a custom connection there for the fuel return.
Which pump do you recommend for a 2020 3500 HD dully Denali?

Do I need a lift pump for my l5p ?
Hi William, The L5P Duramax trucks come from the factory with a lift pump so there is no need to replace it.
Good video
Glad you enjoyed, thank you.
When you talk about the different engines, make sure you mention the years this particular engines where used.
Tons of info if you google the engine codes
If you read about duramaxs for about 30 seconds you’ll know what letters go to what years
I needed this 3 years ago….I go through injectors 1 set per year!
Ty
Please talk slower !
In the top right of the video there are options to slow down the playback speed
The Duramax is a pile of crap
Then why are you reading this crybaby?
