Thanks for posting this! I studied Shorei-ryu 20 years ago and I learned 4 Taikyokus. But we called them (and I'm going to butcher the spelling) geidan (low block), chudan (middle block), jodan (high block), and kicking taikyoku.
I couldn't for the life of me remember the exact sequence so again thanks for posting this!

Im starting karate and i dont know which Taikyoku nidan im supposed to learn ive seen like 10 different versions if Taikyoku Nidan some involves Age uke some involves kicks and some involves hitting a bit higher like in this tutorial

Damn our style is a mix of Shotokan and Goku Ryu but our Taikyoku Nidan is like the first with kicks added 😅 but I will practice the first one as their old videos look over the other shoulder before they turn but in the dojo they do it your way 😁
At Taikyoku-Sandan, is that the Kokutsu-dachi stance while doing the ude-uke defense? The Kokutsu-dachi that I had learned in my youth is less wide than yours. Thanks for this tutorial, it brings back memories.

Try using a heavy bag, or have a partner throw Mae geri keage (front snap kick), and you practice blocking it. Or try some of these drills:
