  • In this video I'll be reviewing the Godox VL200. One of my new favorite lights. I'll compare it to the Aputure 120d, the Godox SL60 and talk about some of the features I love, and some that I.... well, don't.

      Random and good news, I just picked up a 3rd SL60W and they must have upgraded the fan because it produces less noise than they did originally and less noise than my fan modded lights. The pitch of the fan is also a lot better

    What would the purpose be of getting the VL200 over the VL150 if you never use more than 30% power anyways? Is a there other differences

    • @TimmyLodhi
      @TimmyLodhi  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Like I mentioned, if you're using this light outside or exterior shooting, you're gonna need a lot more power. Even the VL200 at 100% might not cut it. If you're planning on using this indoors then you might not need so much power.

  • @cubul32
    @cubul32 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Timmy would people spend more on VL300?? At 1m, VL200 (75,000 lux) vs VL300(77,000 lux) is that extra 2,000 lux doing anything?

    • @TimmyLodhi
      @TimmyLodhi  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think it would add quite a bit of brightness but not sure if it’s needed unless you’re shooting outside or really need a powerful light. I’ve rocked the VL200 and it’s pumps out enough light for indoor lighting situations

    In hindsight, was the VL-150 more than enough?

    • @TimmyLodhi
      @TimmyLodhi  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Unfortunately I don’t have hands-on experience with the 150. Just the VL200 and SL-160W. I don’t know if the 150 could hold up for shooting in brighter conditions

  • @mpark1206
    @mpark1206 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    was there any point where you wish you had spent a little extra for the vl300?

    • @TimmyLodhi
      @TimmyLodhi  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Since I mostly use this indoors it’s totally bright enough for my needs. If I was gonna shoot outdoors more often I would absolutely go for the VL300 or something even brighter

    cant decide between the 150 vs 200

    • @TimmyLodhi
      @TimmyLodhi  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'd say the 150 is probably more than enough if you're shooting indoors or controlled settings. If you plan to shoot outside, go for the 200 or even 300.
