@@robertcarly9183 Very true on BOTH counts. Of course, now, the presidential limousine is only made to look like a Cadillac on the outside but really is an armored tank built on a truck chassis.
Watching this makes me sad. There was nothing quite like the 80's and Reagan was the last truly great president we had. In just 9 days from this video, it would all come to an end basically. I was proud to come of age during this period and proud to have voted for Regan the very first time I was able to vote (his second term that is because I was too young for his first).
I mean time waits for no one.

Wow the old Lincoln Continental...it’s been Cadillac so long I forgot they DID use Lincoln’s back then...both classy beautiful cars which Lincoln was replaced by Cadillac in 1973 still used today....🇺🇸Trump2020. Actually this was the Lincoln Town Car, not the Continental. And even though the keys were given to Reagan, it was ordered for Bush as Reagan preferred Cadillac's. Ever since Calvin Coolidge, presidents switched between Cadillac and Lincoln depending on their personal preference. Wilson and Harding both had Pierce Arrow's and Taft had a White steam car. Before that, horse and carriages were used. Coolidge had a Lincoln, Hoover a Cadillac, FDR a Lincoln AND a Packard, Truman a Cadillac, Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Ford and Carter a Lincoln, Reagan a Cadillac, Bush the first a Lincoln and Clinton and Bush the second a Cadillac. Beginning in 2005, no actual make of car was used. Instead, the presidential limousine is made to LOOK like a Cadillac on the outside but that is its only connection to an actual Cadillac. Its custom built on a truck frame and is basically an armored tank made to look like a car.

Amazing to see young Duncan Hunter who would grow up to run for his father's congressional seat, only to be thrown out of congress and convicted of campaign finance law violations. Then Trump pardoned him. I wonder if he looks back on his young self with his mother and father standing in the oval office with the President of the United States and wonders where it all went wrong.
