The 2024 colorado with the turbomax is so smooth and fast. Just tested the 0-60 of my worktruck and went 7 seconds. Nice for a truck that gets almost 30mpg cruising at 70mph
Just went today to the dealer Toyota Tacoma and Chevy Colorado .. after testing and looking at both trucks the Colorado drove better than Tacoma. Tacoma was sr5 and look cheap built all the interior was loose all of it from even the shifter wiggles to the side just like all the interior. First thought it was just that one truck but check the rest and they were all pretty much the same. Seem to me just in couple years going start coming apart. The sales guys said well the motor will last and laughed… than went to Chevy tested z71 Colorado and drove really smooth and loved how aggressive look everything seem really firm from interior al well. Walked out with the Colorado, never imagined getting Chevy only had toyota ram and Nissan and Honda before. First chevy ever for me. Just get what you liked as long as ur happy it’s all that matters…
I'm glad they integrated the screen into the dash than what Tacoma did. It looks like an IMAX screen or an IPAD stuck on. Tacoma's interior just looks cheap.
Not that much more. The stealerships in my city are marking up Colorados by $2K and intentionally stifling supply to keep the prices inflated. I have lost interest in the truck because of their mind games and the way they manipulate their floor plans to keep the prices as steep as possible. For comparison, a Blazer at the same stealership I visited was priced at a whopping $49,000.
Great review!!! I have that almost exact same Colorado. But I optioned for perforated leather seats and red seat belts. I absolutely love the truck. This is my third now.

All these new trucks except for Nissan Frontier are risky to buy because they're all testing out new engines and stuff like that while Nissan still offers a straight no bs V6
Thank you Ben for the GM review. The only think I do not like is the headlight design. I like the digital gauges and the features. That truck is almost bad a full sized truck was back in the day. The trucks have become larger indeed. The GMC Canyon is nice as well. Compare Canyon and Colorado if you can and throw in the Ford Ranger.
Tacoma has the higher starting price too. Especially after the dealer maket adjustments and unneeded crap they they throw on. Keep in mind those with a loan at the current high interest rates are paying more interest due to the higher priced truck. If that makes them stretch the loan adding on another year the interest rate also increases. So when all is said and done 5-10 years down the line it may be a wash. Not to mention there are already some issues with the '24 tacoma that are coming out so that resale may not be locked in yet.
Ya, Toyota is not doing to well right now. The front diff is going to ruin the reliability. I think the engineers were so focused on the engine other things were ignored. Hopefully next year they fix it, but for now GM is surprisingly the best value and designed compared to Toyota. Never thought I would say those words.

I'd like to upgrade before I get to 200K, but I can't convince myself of any good reason to, other than to have some trade-in value, rather than driving the truck until it dies.
It doesn't bug me that all mid size trucks are going with a turbo 4 but what bugs me the most is we don't have options. I can't buy an ext cab with a bigger box. I haul stuff and a hatchless SUV isn't going to cut it in the midsize market and I don't want or need a full size truck.
Time will tell about the new Toyota reliability but I’ve never owned a reliable GM. My last one was a 2022 Silverado 5.3 and I had injector failure at 5000 miles. Truck sat on the lot waiting for parts for a month along side over 10 other trucks with the same issue. I’ll never buy a GM again.
@@nuts5388 No, to what I understand it was a design flaw. GM updated the injectors and they replaced the failed injector with the new one with the new part number but not the other 7. No thanks. nothing is designed for something that big anymore. you can barely fit a 1/2 ton with a 5.5 bed in the average parking space. 8ft bed means you're taking two spots at the end of the lot.

After 9 months just received my 23 Z-71. For some reason Chevy added the 20 inch wheels, wanted the standard 18's. 20''s not good off-road. Ordered with the skid package, so the front air-dam is gone. No real time driving it yet, but looks great in Glacier Blue.
I like the Canyon AT4, especially interior with brown leather. But, until GM gets better reliability ratings from Consumer Reports, adds a headlight switch on the dash & somehow ups the mpg. I’ll buy a new Tacoma.
I bought my last Chevy brand new in 1988 and it was such a falling apart piece of junk that I haven't went back to them since. I like the looks of their truck, but my Chevy PTSD keeps me from considering buying from them again.
In time tested GM fashion, the interior is both ugly and low quality appearing. I swear they buy the scrap plastics from Matel Toys and recyle it. Seats are gross, and again notth of 45k for a 65% of a truck. Nuts, hard pass.

@ 3:31- 12 miles on the right is the odometer reading and the 155 miles is the fuel range.
I hate decals. Put a little badge there instead.
After 9 months just received my 23 Z-71. For some reason Chevy added the 20 inch wheels, wanted the standard 18's. 20''s not good off-road. Ordered with the skid package, so the front air-dam is gone. No real time driving it yet, but looks great in Glacier Blue.
The airdam pops off with little effort
Forget it now then go for frontier pro 4X much better All
how does the Colorado have such a small engine but still gets such poor MPG. the new RAM 1500's get 32 mpg hwy! smh
Toyota people still believe consumer reports..😅😅
It would have to be like 15k less for me to take a GM over a Toyota
Is the stop sale lifted on these?
Yeah, it lasted a couple days and was lifted.
I like the Canyon AT4, especially interior with brown leather. But, until GM gets better reliability ratings from Consumer Reports, adds a headlight switch on the dash & somehow ups the mpg. I’ll buy a new Tacoma.
don't use Consumer Reports for factual information. at best it's incomplete
@@davidporter7051 Even though they use 100’s of thousands of customer surveys? I’ve found over the years they’re usually right.
The Taco is a rip off and it’s time truck buyers send Toyota a message
The front looks cool, but all plastic.😂
I bought my last Chevy brand new in 1988 and it was such a falling apart piece of junk that I haven't went back to them since. I like the looks of their truck, but my Chevy PTSD keeps me from considering buying from them again.
Cheaper but not better
In time tested GM fashion, the interior is both ugly and low quality appearing. I swear they buy the scrap plastics from Matel Toys and recyle it. Seats are gross, and again notth of 45k for a 65% of a truck. Nuts, hard pass.
Toyota Motor Corporation 4life
🐑🐑🐑 sheeple will sheeple. Toyota laughing all the way to the bank. Charge more for less.
@@elche1976 You get what you pay for. There’s a reason Chevy’s are so much cheaper than Toyota.
@@elche1976 last longer than all for less
@@ohscheisse2192 hecho en Mexico.
And toyota has openly admitted they are intentionally holding back inventory to focus on other parts of the world... and they know they can charge more because people will pay higher prices here. Sheeple. They tell you what you'll do and you'll do it. Sheeple will sheeple.
@ohscheisse2192 my 2005 has been very good. It's not the driver than the vehicle that matters. But hecho en Mexico doesn't help matters going forward.
I've owned three Chevy cars, and to be completely honest I am done with the brand entirely. I do want a truck, but having driven a Nissan Sentra before to great satisfaction and seeing what the Frontier offers, all I can say is that Chevy looks nice but does not deliver what I need. If I can get a great deal on a used Frontier then I will likely take it, especially since I don't make the kind of money to get most used trucks and the Frontier has less amenities that would otherwise up the cost for me.
More power but gets carbon buildup. Yeah nah. Old v6 please.
Slow down dude! Too fast!
Too much detail articulated and way to fast. Recommend you slow down.
The colorado/canyons are turds. You can get a quadcab long bed Tacome, you have no chouce with GM. Toyota all the way.
thats about 25k$ worth of truck
While you pay rent/ mortgage for something that is worth ¼ the value. You think vehicles are immune to inflated prices?
@@elche1976 what??
I just saw one of these smoking out of the hood earlier today
Uh huh. Sure. Rrrrriiiiiigggghhhhhtttttt.
You talk too fast , other than that great vid
For 50k, I expect the best. This certainly is not the best for that money. Nothing but a re-badged S-10 pickup truck.
Speaks toooo fast…slow down so you can be clearly understood.
Can't see anything over the clown front end.
Too bad it doesn’t come with a razor
