Thanks for watching my Chevy Colorado LT Review! Here’s a quick breakdown of the price gap between the Colorado LT and the GMC Canyon Elevation: The Colorado LT 4WD before options starts at $36,795 w/ the less powerful 2.7L, and starts at $38,080 with the TurboMax. The GMC Canyon 4WD Elevation starts $40,895. So about a $2,000-$3,200 price delta between Colorado LT and Canyon. But, when going with the Canyon Elevation you are also getting an off-road suspension with a 2” factory lift and all-terrain tires whereas you don’t get that on a Colorado LT, so the price delta doesn’t seem that bad with that considered.
Colorado is a better looking truck, But GMC is probably more luxurious on the interior. In the end I’d probably base my decision on price and looks which would be the Colorado….but like you said, either would be great
Definitely would save a couple/few grand going with the Colorado depending on what trim you get/how you spec it out for sure. I like both trucks, but the Canyon wins just by a hair for me. Thank you for watching!
I just bought a 2024 GMC Canyon AT4. I added the spray on bed liner, running boards and front and rear floor liners. It came to $47,455 without tax, dealer conveyance fees and registration. I liked the AT4 features and the overall appearance and stance over a comparable Colorado. I plan on keeping it for a long time.
I went with a new canyon a week ago. It was heavily discounted. $30,500 with trailer package and spray in bed liner. Super stoked how wonderful this truck is.
That’s one hell of a deal! I think you made out great, enjoy your truck. I know you will, the body work is gorgeous on these things. Thank you for watching!
It's impressive how much the Canyon stands out from the Colorado being that they're basically the same exact vehicle. You can't go wrong with either but if you can afford the upcharge for the GMC then you certainly get rewarded with a more aggressive exterior and slightly more refined interior. Great review by the way!
It really is, I couldn’t believe how ornate it looks compared to the Colorado. The Colorado truly is the choice for anyone looking for a more basic, more traditional truck appearance. But I know depending on what trim you’re talking sometimes the Canyon versus the Colorado can be quite a price hike. But I love the look of it so much that it’s hard to say no. 😂 Thank you for watching and coming back to another video, I appreciate it!
Great Video as always ! Id agree 100% on not caring for GMs putting the headlight settings in the info screen. Same with Ford ( I just got my '24 Ranger ) with them putting the locking Diff on the screen with no active button. Not a fan of that.
You’re kidding! Two features as important as these should NOT be digital buttons. It just doesn’t feel right. When I’m activating the diff, at least let me flick a switch or something. I want to feel like I’m doing something in the process here Ford 😂 Thanks again for watching, I appreciate you coming back I love to see it, hopefully GM goes back to the way it was on the next gen! I appreciate the kind words!
@@CEALLIFORNIAi think the headlight switch in the radio screen is ok. I never turn off my headlights on my Traverse because I just leave it on ‘auto’ all the time. So, I never have to turn them on. A while back, we were attending a funeral, and you’re suppose to turn on your headlights, well, I forgot where the switch was!
@harry39196 I wonder if once you turn your fog/running lights on in the menu, if they will come on with the auto headlights or do you have to turn them on separately each time?
@@adamton7274 For me at 6’ 2 I think it was possible looking back at the footage. If you’re a little shorter I think you could still do it, but I’m not 100% sure, it is a pretty approachable height for being a truck which is good. Thank you for watching!
@CEALLIFORNIA thanks for your quick reply sounds like I need to get off my couch and check it out! It drives me nuts how I cannot get stuff easily out of my Tundra
No problem! The two lowest truck beds I’ve encountered is the Honda Ridgeline and the Ford Maverick. The Mav is rated at 2000 payload if I’m not mistaken and 4000 towing capacity with the right packages. And the Ridgeline is rated at 5000lbs towing capacity. I liked the styling of the Maverick better when I drove. But if you don’t want something a bit higher off the ground, this Colorado is a nice middle ground!
You should have compared the Colorado Trail Boss to the canyan elevation truck. Both are 4 inches wider and borh have 2" suspension lifts from the factory.
That’s right, it would’ve been an even better video with that truck, but on the lot the Chevy dealers mostly have LT’s right now. Z71, Trail Boss, and ZR2 are finally beginning to trickle in. I just wanted to do this as a way to compare the basic body/interior of these trucks back to back to see which one has the better look, and while it’s subjective, I definitely do like the GMC Canyon just a little more. Thank you for watching!
I prefer the Colorado over the GMC. What I don’t Ike is the engines, don’t want a turbo. I have a 97 1500 with a V6, and I doubt these turbos will have the longevity. Enjoyed the review. 👍🏻
Thank you for the kind words man! I think you’ll probably get a lot more miles out of that V6, the Nissan Frontier still has an n/a V6 is that’s that you’re after. I drove it and it was a great truck. Thank you for watching!
The AT4 has some sweet looking wheels too! I love the look of it. I saw a blue AT4 on the lot when I went to shoot my Canyon review and it was very sharp looking. Enjoy your new ride, thank you for watching!
The colorado LT (with convenience package/turbo max). is the best value, hands down. $38-$39k, vs $47 for the trail boss or a GMC. The similar GMC canyon are unobtainable under $45 grand now. It's not a "little bit extra" it's a LOT extra,.
For what these trucks cost, it would be nice to see some hood struts. Honda is guilty of using the “coat hanger” on their $41k, top of the line, Ridgeline HPD i reviewed. I don’t get it. At least my 2021 Silverado has hood struts. Thank you for watching!
Great review Ceall! Personally I like them both but for sure the Canyon is more aggressive looking and I'd probably choose it if I was looking for a truck. I still really like the Ridgeline but that really is a very different vehicle. How is life? We got up to 99 a couple of days ago and now we are having some awesome Spring weather and cloudy and on the cool side. Hope that you have been doing great and that life has been so good for you brother!
Thank you James! Tell you what it’s been crazy. Nice review. The GM twins went from last (I would not even consider) to near/top of the class for midsize trucks with this new generation, imo. Both are stylish. I would choose the GMC Canyon Elevation 4WD. I am buying at the end of 2024. I like that it offers Auto/AWD in addition to 4WD Hi/Lo.
