    These are such sweet little hearts. I get rid of the wool fluff by just using a lint roller, gets the felting pad wool free in no time. 💕

      Thank you so much. Me too! I have been busy preparing my own wool for felting and selling. I'm getting closer to being able to create again and this time with my own wool. We moved from Hawaii to Oregon so that also put a delay in things. Thanks for being patient. Happy Felting🌬️❄️🌲🤍

    Could someone tell me where to get the information for making a heart like this, and adding embroidered names? Is it possible?

    • @SnowflakeForestFelting
      @SnowflakeForestFelting  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      This video, should help you learn how to make a heart like this. Do you have any specific questions? Names can be hard to felt, that is advanced felting, where as a heart, that is Beginner.

    This is sooo cool! I love it. Thanks for the great video. Just out of curiosity, how long do you think it would take to make 2” heart ?

    • @SnowflakeForestFelting
      @SnowflakeForestFelting  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you so much! Depending on the size, type of wool and needle, it should take you around and hour or so for one so maybe a couple hours to a few hours. Thanks for asking. I hope it helps.

    Hi! This looks fun. Just out of curiosity, how long do things like this usually take?

    • @SnowflakeForestFelting
      @SnowflakeForestFelting  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, thanks for asking. It depends on the size, this one around 2-3 hours.

    What is the advantage of using white as the interior, is it less expensive than dyed wool? Or is it based on what you have available to use?

    • @SnowflakeForestFelting
      @SnowflakeForestFelting  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, less expensive and core wool can be more flexible than other wools therefore even helps with shaping. I have video on Core wool you might find helpful as well if you want to check it out!

    How much wool did you use for this heart please :)? I’m a newbie and I’m going to buy supplies but not sure how much to get. Thank you

    • @SnowflakeForestFelting
      @SnowflakeForestFelting  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      A little heart like this does not use much wool. I would get under a half ounce to start if you are just wanting to try and make one little thing. I hope this helps. Let me know if you have more questions!

    I’m just seeing this now when I googled “felting a mini heart”. My question is how much time do you actually spend poking at it to get it to look like a heart and be considered “felted”? I tried to felt some wool into a little twig nest a few years back (saw it in a magazine) and I poked and worked and worked and poked for what seemed to me to be forever, and it just wasn’t working. So just to give me an idea, how long was this felting process! Thanks in advance answering

    • @SnowflakeForestFelting
      @SnowflakeForestFelting  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I would say around an inch felted an hour, but then some times smaller items due to the tiny details can take more time then larger items. This is around 4 inches so 3-6 hours depending on how focused and many interruptions by family. The more stop and go, the longer as well. It also depends on your end desired result you are trying to achieve, how firm, how smooth, how well you want it to hold up.
      I hope this helps.
      Happy Felting🌬️❄️🌲🤍

      @@SnowflakeForestFelting no wonder felted things are expensive! Thank you so much for your reply. And I’ll have to add , patience isn’t my strong suit so I don’t think too much felting is in my future!😂😂😂

      @@cardmakerme It can be very hard for people to understand the time that goes into this Art and Craft. Yet, some brands can ask outrages prices for things and people don't even bat an eye at those prices.
      Yes, that is why I think so many felted things I see are poorly felted that I see online. It takes true dedication. To me the end result is worth it. And mostly, I feel, people just want to get it done and get their money, or people don't want to compensate for someone's time. We all have our own perspective on quality, time and money.
      I guess that is the Art Business.
      You know, don't be afraid of long term projects. I have a knit blanket I started 10 years ago and still need to finish.
      I hope you stick with it, if not I completely understand. It isn't for everyone.
      Time is precious and anymore these days it seems, the faster things need to be done and the more they cost.
      This is an ancient craft, comes from when times were different.

      Thank you so much! I found pieces of the mat broke down and I was constantly having to keep them from getting in my projects. The wool was nice pad. I am using new ones now.
