    Wanted to make just a few felt balls for my gnome noses and this video was just perfect. I do have a felting pan w 3 needles and a pk of roving wool (per the label) but the needles don’t seem to do anything. But I’ve never done it before so maybe I’m doing it wrong. Your video helped me make a few noses without the needles, so thank you!

      I’m so glad, you are very welcome! Thank you for sharing. Those little gnome noses would be tricky with needles. Happy Holidays & Happy Felting 🌬❄️🌲🤍

    Hey Jodi, I absolutely enjoyed watching. This seems like fun like the felted soaps do. I think you should felt the Christmas wreath next. I also thought I bet a 🕯would be cool too.

    Instead of an egg, use a round plastic container, like one you would use for leftovers. Put wet ball in container and make it spin around. It is actually like a small centrifuge and your ball will come out great.

      Carolyn Riley Right! Now that makes ways more sense than an egg!!!

    I like the felted flower poms in the vase. When you add fragrance oil to these does it discolor them in any way?

      Hi! Thank you and thanks for asking. If the oil you are using is colored it could show up on the wool depending on the wool color. A darker wool could hide colored oils some, where as a dark oil on light wool will definitely show up.
      A clear oil wouldn’t be as noticed. I prefer lavender, I haven’t had it stain the light or dark wool yet.
      Let me know if I can be of anymore help.
      Happy Felting!

    Great video. I am just starting out felting. So far, I have learned that soap w/olive oil in it is the best. Mine won't be arriving for another week. Is there other soap I can use in the interim as I practice? Thank you so much for giving instruction for felt balls. I am making a sincere effort to make a small cat.

      Hi! It is so great to connect with you here. Thank you for leaving a comment & welcome to the wonderful Art of Needle Felting🌺
      You can practice with most any soap. Gels can be pretty soft, so you might want to avoid them. I have had a lot of fun trying different soaps & seeing how they felt.
      You are very welcome for the videos. I’m so glad they helped.
      I bet your cat will be so cute! Feel free to share & tag me in your creations if you post them anywhere on social media. I would love to see them & show some support!

    If wanting to make a rather large ball can you start with something else as to not use so much wool? Like scrunched up paper or something? Ive made a few balls after watching this video and they came out really good! Thanks for such a good video

      Briony Canty Aloha! It is nice to meet you. This is wonderful to hear! Thank you so much.
      I would use a ball of yarn for the center! If you go to the video here that is titled Felted Dryer balls, it will teach you to make larger ones! I hope that helps!

    Hi! How would you recommend attaching them to a paper clip? Glue or felting them onto the paper clip from the beginning? I mostly want to make cute little critter paper clips! Love your videos! Thank you!

    • @SnowflakeForestFelting
      @SnowflakeForestFelting  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi! Thanks for asking. I have wanted to make something similar or even pencil toppers. I love it!!! Nice to meet you.
      I think Felting them on would be a little complicated, especially since the item is so little already. I think I would make the item, then attach with some hot glue, then try to just cover the little hot glue spot with a little wool. So then there is just very little Felting with the Paper clip and the wool would act as a reinforcement to the glue.
      I hope this helps. Let me know how they come out.
      Happy Felting 🌬❄️🌲🤍

    Is there a way to reverse the size from small to big? 20 mm to 25 mm?

    • @SnowflakeForestFelting
      @SnowflakeForestFelting  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It will take more wool to make it larger. Just keep adding it!! Let me know if that helps or if you any more questions. I am to help however I can.

      O goodness. I know I don’t speak well, the kids always teased me in school. I suffocated on plastic at 9 months old and was a blue baby. I was able to pass with a 4.0 grade average…. Just sometimes things don’t come out right.

      Again? Just have to pick on her? 😅 I don’t get why you bother. Everyone else is thankful while all you see are “errors”. I’m grateful to find this video because I wanna start doing it soon for garlands too.
