My condition is taking several months, close to a year now to feel better.(everyone is different) I have to persevere think positive stretch and stay active.
This was a life changing event for me.
No one can relate to the debilitating pain and discomfort of sciatica unless they have had it.

I swear you guys are amazing. I had struggled with bad sciatica due to bulging disc's after L2-L4 compressed spine. The workman's comp doctors were hell bent on surgery with only a 50/50 chance it would actually fix my spine. I decided to opt out and seek alternative medicine. Started looking for chiropractors and before I could get into an office decided to look online to at least alleviate some pain until I could be seen. I end up finding you guys, soo glad I didn't write you off. I was in pain for years and after doing your exercises (the cobra) mainly about 3x a day for 2 days my spine aligned enough to where I was pain free for the first time in years almost immediately! I was in disbelief but seriously this helped. My back has been getting stronger although I have some bad days but these exercises and you guys are god-sends. Thank you soo much for helping me. It has drastically improved my quality of life.

Gentlemen! I have had bother with my back since my twenties. Now, in my 61st year, I have arthritis in my 3rd and 4th neck vertebrae and my lower spine has always been a spot of bother (40 years of bent forward office desk posture is what it...). You have managed to do something that nobody else managed: Namely to get my lazy backend going and do something about these issues, myself . To me, it is the western disease to take the attitude to wait until somebody comes to help you: It will never happen. Between your advice for a back roll, bending inwards to 'hollow' my lower spine, and to stay active, keep moving, has almost completely done away with some seriously strong sciatica. I can't thank you enough! I wish I could repay you: Thank you! You guys are utterly brilliant!

Thanks so much for this video. Your timing is perfect as I've had two weeks of a sciatica flare up. It's grinding pain to live with but your advice will certainly help me get through this. Interestingly, when I have the flare up, I find myself wanting to adopt these good sitting habits naturally and im always adjusting my lower back to keep that curve. But when I'm well, I just forget and fall into bad habits. The body is wise but the mind is (in my case) quite dumb.

What's been discussed in this video: Soft seats (make it worse), car seats that make the lower back slide downwards, partial reclined seats (need straight back), use of a lumbar towel roll, Mackenzie extensions in supine position - how to tell whether it's working for you or not and last but not least, do not round your back when you bend to pick up stuff - how to do it right. You guys make me wish I'd chosen to go to physiotherapy school! ❤️❤️❤️

Hallo Brad and Bob. I enjoy watching your videos, and I am learning a lot from watching them!! For 6 months now, I have been getting these sharp pains (off and on) in the right hip, and I occasionally feel a lot of pain in the quads and the hamstrings as well. Also, I've been experiencing quite a bit of pain in the groin area. Is it also connected with Sciatica? At first I thought playing Pickleball was the cause of all the pain that I've been having over the past 6 months. After watching your video above, I've concluded that all the pain I've been experiencing was from sitting many hours 6-8 hours a day in front of the computer, working on my foreign language studies. I am almost 70 years old now. What's a good solution for getting rid of the pain in the groin area? I really appreciate you guys!!

Just found your channel. Sitting and standing both make issues for me. I have pain in my right hip, but it's not bad. The pain that bothers most is in my big toe on my right foot, this is combined with a tingling/kinda numbness going down the outside of my thigh, wrapping around my lower leg, across my metatarsal to my big toe. The pain in my toe, and sometimes second toe, feels like it's frozen cold, that kind of pain, and even a heating pad on the foot will not help. Sometimes the toe even looks a bit purple. What needs fixing?

I was being treated for sciatica by a chiropractor, but my progress was slow and uncertain; then, on the way home after a treatment, I tried my own treatment AND IT WORKED, IMMEDIATELY. All I did was to force myself about thirty yards (I wasn't in good enough condition to go further) up a hill as quickly as possible. That did it. That was over fifteen years ago, but. the pain stopped immediately and has never reoccurred. I don't know if this method has been touted by anyone else, but it worked for me. Why don't you try it? You might have the same experience. Oh, I might mention that when I told my chiropractor about it, he didn't say a word, not one word. (Mon Aug 15, 2022)

    Hi Bob and Brad,
Nice vids & great information to sharing about the excercise to treat the sciatica.
Anyway do you have suggestion for the excercise while we seat on the plane for the long haul? The flight could took above 12hrs for example, any stretching or excercise that we can do while seat on the plane?
    Thanks in advance

I watched this and had to laugh the car seat in my work car has been causing me so much back and leg pain. I tried the exercise and it really helped. Unfortunately the pain came back after using the car today.
I have arthritis and spondylolisthesis with no bulging discs. I don't want to take medication but not sure what the right approach should be. I will follow Bob and Brad and thank you for your tips.

I am suffering from Radial Nerve Palsy.. fingers drop and not able to rotate my hand since 1 month. Could you please tell me the exercises and stretches for this problem??

You should see a hand surgeon then a certified hand therapist. You may need to be in a splint that helps extend your wrist and fingers. Go on HTCC org or ASSH.org to find one in your area.
Time is what you need to let the nerve recover from the compression.

It has been almost 3 years since my first experience with sciatica and feeling has not returned fully to my toes. I've seen a back specialist at a hospital with a great reputation for orthopedic care and I have never had such shoddy treatment. She had an intern take notes and then barely listened to what I was asking. Is it normal to have the nerve pain come back to my lower leg and continued numbness of varying intensity for 3 years. Is there a risk of permanent damage? If you could give me direction that would be great. Thanks.

Thanks for the tips and exercise.
I've had extreme pain the last few weeks in my legs, hips and numbness in the rear when sitting after a few minutes.
I didn't think about the bending I do when I brush my teeth.
I also bend incorrectly when emptying the dishwasher, getting clothes out of the dryer, and picking things off the floor, etc.

I'm feeling ok. Have compressed discs in all back, have severe torn hamstring in right leg, asthma, and sleep apnea. I don't get much back pain but I get it when trying to loose weight.
I weigh 280 lbs and stand 5'7" tall.Arms hurt when trying to get into better health.
Do you know how I can get myself into better shape so I can live a longer healthier life?

I bought that wedge that you guys have talked about and sleeping and I find that it's not the best for me I don't like the way my feet feel dangling off the back of it. Is it normal for my feet not to feel great to feel tingling and stuff still. Should I keep using it. Having sciatic issues. Going to the chiropractor all the time they do other therapies rebuilders won where I stick my feet in water but I always seem to be horrible for the rest of the day. Don't know if I should continue doing that. Hopefully you therapists or someone that represents you are checking these comments :-). Thanks for your videos
