The Sarnia Sting also was named to keep the "bee" theme. We had a Jr. B team called the Sarnia Bees. When the Ciccarelli's relocated the team from New Market they renamed the team to the Sarnia Sting
Another few facts is that the flint firebirds use the tropics jerseys on some nights and there is a rivalry with Saginaw originally dating back to the 60's
Peterborough has four locks only one of which is a lift lock, built in the early 1900's and it is the highest lift lock in the world. When you mention a Spitfire on display in Windsor, you show a Lancaster bomber. In the 70's the OHA was a 10 team league and featured the Montreal Jr Canadiens while the Q had Kingston and Cornwall. Cornwall 1981(Doug Gilmour, Dale Hawerchuk and Marc Crawford) was the last Quebec league team to win the Memorial Cup until Granby 1996. Cornwall was also the last team to play the Marlies at Maple Leaf Gardens before they became the Hamilton Dukes witnessed by about 500 fans, a far cry from the 12,000 they drew every game in the 70's. Just a little bit of additional information on the Saginaw Spirit. A contest was held and there were several entries that included "Spirit", or "Spirits". The girl who won the contest was drawn from all of those who submitted either Spirit , or Spirits. The Spirit name was chosen by Dick Garber because it was the Spirit of the Saginaw community that voted themselves a tax increase to renovate and update the old Saginaw Civic Center that was scheduled to be torn down. While the Red, White and Blue logo screams USA, it should be noted that many teams use those colors. Sports teams seem to like those colors.
Thank God I'm from London we had a 3-60-3 season I was at almost every home game and then just two months ago we were crowned CHL team of the century and currently have sent more players to the NHL than any Junior Team you say the most hated I say clearly the best

So the Flint Firebirds were named after the Pontiac Firebird used to be made in Flint.
The Bulldogs from my understanding were named after the former Quebec Bulldogs who were the previous name of the NHL Hamilton Tigers.
You are correct that there is a spitfire on display in Jackson Park but I believe the picture you showed is of the Lancaster bomber situated near it
1988-89 season Kingston were called the Raiders for one year. The best uniforms in any hockey level. Grey and Black with Raiders in Grey across it.
Could you do a ECHL version of this.
I think the generals were either founded by, or once owned by GM Canada Founder R.S. McLaughlin, and it was founded as a rec team for his employees (I think)

Did you know that the Sarnia Sting's logo is also used by the Bracknell Bees in Great Britain?
And at 10:28, that plane looks more like an Avro Lancaster to me.

I am to understand everyone outside of Sudbury says that and anyone from Sudbury loves it and doesn't want it to change.
Wolves have the best logo and Colours in the OHL!
North Bay Battalion have to be up there n most recognizable too. I mean how many teams have army type green as jersey colour it is my second favorite London Knights are my fav and yes it is very likely the green jerseys

Cannot stand Sudbury’s logo. Very outdated. Guelph’s new logo looks sharp (2018).
Kingston was also called the Canadians up until the late 80s then they were the raiders for a year then they changed to Frontenacs
You gave zero reason why the Sarnia Sting are called the Sting.
I'd assume their long time Junior B team, the Sarnia Bees of the same colours, had something to do with it.
