I created one portfolio with case studies of my projects, and included a bit more text regarding the breakdown and visual decisions I made, (ex. why I chose certain colours/fonts/images, problem, solution, possible future implications of the brand, etc.), and this portfolio was intended to be used when I apply for jobs. However, I wanted to create another portfolio site that is a bit more specific to my freelance work to attract clients - and I was wondering if you think that keeping the same heavier process text in the projects would attract freelance clients, or do you think it would be too wordy and I should remove some of the text, and not talk so much about the project, the problems I faced, solutions, or the future implications of the brand?
what template based website would you recommend to showcase portfolio? I have a portfolio for different roles; graphic design and marketing/social media
good question! It all depend which you are most comfortable with. I like WordPress but Showit and SquareSpace are pretty great too if you prefer visual building! I have heard great things about WebFlow just requires some learning.
I give my clients a library of tutorials so they know how to edit on their own! I know it happens so I want to give them the tools to know how to do it.
