Interesting. She gave a direct, truthful, and concise assessment of the Thai mentality with regards Thai skin-color diversity and the “preference” by some Thais for light-skin. She hinted at the opportunistic and economic benefits of having light-skin in Thailand. I would have liked to have heard more about that. I lived and worked in Udon Thani for several years and personally preferred the tan (un-made up) Thai women. There is a natural beauty inside and outside. I prefer the Isaan over the larger fast-paced life of Bangkok. I found Bangkok and other larger cities in Thailand contaminated with American and European values which are in many ways decadent. The Thai culture is a great culture and it is a shame that foreigners (Farangs) have infiltrated and brought with them their bad behavior and infected the Thai culture with some of that bad behavior. This was a great and informative interview.

Lol, no. Sun is bad for skin. It ages you like crazy. Exposure to sunlight long enough to develop tan is insidious. Get the vitamin d3 from a supplement that has good bioavailability.

Watching from the philippines. Same situation. Filipinos living in metro manila cities like bangkok and Isaan people like provinces 200kms or more away from metro manila. Traffic in metro manila is terrible. People are a plenty. Unlike in provinces life is simple.

PimJai looks fun easy going, and doesn’t stress too much. Farangs like all type of people, light skin, dark skin, plump girls, skinny girls, tall or short. And not just for looks but also personality.
Kittichai I live in Pattaya. Would love to see you do this same exact video and ask Thai people what's the first thing they think of when they here the word "Pattaya." A lot of Thai people have never been here before and just go by rumors and what they have heard from their friends/family. It would make for a great video. Thanks.

Hey ... good interview, I do not understand when you say that she is cynical. It is great to know the daily life and the thinking of the citizens of beautiful Thailand from a perspective closer to reality and not from a Western interviewer.

her responses show how universal the rural vs. urban divide is lol. the way Isaan people talk about Bangkokers is very similar to how Middle Americans talk about the urban Coasts lol.

First, another good video. I always think it`s interesting to hear other Thai`s opinions about things. That`s why you are the best Thai Vlogger on TH-cam! Coincidentally, I used to have a girlfriend named PimJai when I lived in San Diego while in the Navy. I happen to like a lot of big city chaos, so I would love Bangkok (just maybe not the air quality). I wonder how YOU feel about it, little brother? Anyway, thanks and keep up the great work!
Thanks David! Bangkok is very convenient than in Ubon for sure, but damn, I like driving but I hate driving in Bangkok to the extent that I walk or use public transport to go somewhere far.

Real Thai people have lily WHITE skin. Issan people have Khmer/Lao blood and be VERY dark. This girl had some Chinese in her ancestry, for sure. Unusually light skin for Isaan girl. She does have the FLAT Issan nose which is tell tale.
I thought Pimjai was great! I wonder if she doesn't care about the heat in Mae Hong Son. Wikipedia says Mae Hong Son holds the highest temperature ever recorded in Thailand when 44.6 °C (112.3 °F) was observed on 28 April 2016. A little too hot for my taste. Considering living in Chiang Rai and visiting other Asean Countries during smoky season. Or, Northern Vietnam (cooler) is on my Radar recently. Any input from you and viewers would be very much appreciated.

Good interview. I think it's a common misconception that falangs are attracted to issan girls because of dark skin. Most falang guys are probably not that bothered, it's just who they end up with.
