Kittichai in Thailand has the best videos about Thailand I have ever seen on TH-cam. Thank you for making and sharing these interesting and helpful videos. :)
Interesting to see the younger women saying what they feel they should say, what they have been told is "right", but when pushed a bit several seemed like they might actually be a bit more liberal. The older woman was aware, and accepting of the behaviour of youngsters, which has changed a bit over the years. Having lived in Thailand off and on for over 35 years, I have observed this change, just as I have observed changes in various aspects of culture in other countries. In truth, many aspects of culture are not as sacrosanct as some self anointed arbiters of "Thainess" would like people to think. Culture is dynamic and in some respects only a generation deep.
I don't think it is just a result of global communications. Exposure to other cultures is a factor, but the bigger truth is that cultures evolve over time, from generation to generation..... always have, always will.
Kittichai, I am from Florida in USA, all the videos I saw were about women and how to find them, your videos are a lot more interesting and really give us the insight of what Thais believe. These are the best videos I have seen. Thank you. I will see your country as soon as this Covid19 decides to go to a far away planet.
I'm so happy that I found your channel! I'm half Thai, but very much American. I plan on living there in the next few months to get to know my family, the language and the culture, so this is very helpful to me. If you haven't thought about it already, can you do a video about how Thai people view mental health (depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, etc.).
As a farang, it is nice to see what the average Thai person thinks. Hearing it from the "street" is better than one person telling you what THEY think...... Thanks for the information!!!!! You do a great job of letting us farangs know how the Thai people think and how they feel about things........... helps us not do things that annoy the people of Thailand.
Good video Kittichai,! Do you think you could make a video explaining the concept of ‘face’? Losing face, gaining face etc! Could be a complicated topic but maybe beneficial to farang! Khob khun krub! 🙏
I agree... please consider making a video about concept of "face"as mentioned above..and another suggestion is making a video about "kreng jai"...Great stuff again Kittichai and good luck with your future videos
Kittichai - very good concept for your channel, allowing others to get a perspective on Thai values. I will look forward to you getting more perspectives (or even repeats of some of your past subjects) now that you are now in Bangkok, they may be a little different from your time in Ratchathani. A couple of subjects you may consider in Bangkok would be "Thai etiquette on escalators (standing right walking left), mobile phone use, = texting while walking or blocking others while texting and consideration for others" Frankly I have never seen a Thai person hold the door for the person following them - they are blissfully unaware of anyone around them. I also recommend you make the questions a little more consistent with each interview, similar questioning will allow for a more complete perspective of the subject. You should also move the microphone to you when asking the questions, then returning it to the subject for their answer - holding the mic on the subject can intimidate them at times. Keep going on your channel - it is different than so many others.
I have to say, I like your videos. I hope you keep doing them. They’re funny and they’re very interesting. I really like hearing how the different people you interview think and I think you’re very funny. Good job and thank you.
I wish there someone doing your kind of videos in Cambodia (where I live). Please keep this channel going! There are differences between Khmai and Thai culture, but your videos have still given me great insights into the environment that I'm living in. Thanks again!
As a new subscriber I'm glad that you have started to post regularly again, I really like your videos! On topic here, I'm a farang, but I'm very Thai in my thinking on this subject haha. I think maybe holding hand is my limit. By the way I understand a little Thai and your interviews are very funny and charming to listen to. Keep up the good work!
You are in Bangkok now! Great! I saw you on another TH-camrs channel - I love the cross over videos. I will be in Bangkok soon, November for sure, possibly October, hopefully I will see you there. Thanks for the video. Take care.
Good job Kittichai! I liked it! When you ask questions to people I think it would be better if you speak closer to the microphone so we can better hear your voice. Your videos are awesome for better understanding thai culture and practicing thai listening skills! Now that you are in Bangkok it would be great to have interviews about lifestyle differences between Bangkok and Esan. Cheers.
sawadee will be interesting to see u in bangkok i would like to see you interview some mature thai people who are looking for love for the second time in their lives keep up the good work take care
This channel helps me learn more about Thai culture with interesting content and helps me with my listening skills for learning the Thai language. Thanks.
Another great video, Kit! Very interesting. Thai women are very conservative and very sweet. A very good thing! I wish more Western women were like them. Keep up the good work.
Good one Kittichai. PDA is not the wai of Thai people mostly but you can hold her hand so she does not wander off. Someone told me if a Thai woman touch you then she is a Ladyboy as Thai women are more reserved lol. Here in the west the modern understanding is hugging is okay but there are rules. If same sex short hug and you must slap the back of each other to signal it is not sexual. Same with opposite sex and one is married, slap the back. If you don't slap the back people think funny.Maybe even you are on the prowel.
Kittichai, good VLOG. Was given a recommendation from Kev-in-Thailand. Just subscribed and started watching the backlog of VLOGs. This one I think many foreigners would do well to watch and heed, and I just don't mean those on holiday. I know some people are just the "touchy feely" type naturally but I think they need to suppress their desire to hug and cuddle almost perfect strangers....just my view, as personally I don't feel comfortable with it..... Here or anywhere else for that matter. Anyway, again good VLOG. Will be watching more.👍
GREAT. enlightening as to Thai culture even after nearly forty years of holidaying l am still not sure what is acceptable, and at what age, from the young to more senior without being disrespective. Thanks for the vlog SMILES
I love this videos that teach me about thai culture. I hop I can have my thai experience too. Kittichai please make a video asking thai men if they would date farang woman... because I see this is a topic not common and I don't see many thai men with farang woman. please please ask.
Quite interesting out look never thought about it but after seeing this video yeah you don't see the same thing as western culture on the streets and I like the respect the Thai have shown which slowly missing in the west.
Great video mate. :) Just one thing: don't automatically assume that your audience prefers how things are done in the West. If we are watching a video about Thailand it's probably because we like Thailand, and there's a good chance that the majority of your audience likes how things are done over there. I personally find kissing in public unsightly and dumb.
Very interesting and enjoyable. I've subbed. Maybe you could hold the microphone to your mouth when you ask the questions, to make the sound a bit clearer, or perhaps get a lapel microphone and add the sound from that when you edit the video. Just a thought. Looking forward to the new videos and catching up with your old ones.
as someone born and raised in the usa, i rarely see pda nowadays (in CA) going beyond hand holding. public kissing used to be a thing but not much any more.
Great video and great subject. Can you do a video on what Thai people think or feel about Americans or others retiring in Thailand. I am curious if it is welcoming or shunned.
Carlos Somchai I'm Thai.We always welcome westerners or foreigners who; 1.like Thailand and want to live here .We happy when you like our food. But we understand if you don't like our hot and so very hot weather, traffic nightmare in BKK on rush hour ,soi dogs, taxi scammers, double price on tourists locations
I really enjoy your videos. When you started a question to the woman with her Tomboy standing next to her "let's say you have a boyfriend..." I laughed out loud. I'm not sure the Tom thought it was funny.
Thanks for another Great Video! Actually its not completely accepted in the west either, im live the tollerant Netherlands and its not as if its normal. And luckily you rarely see it :) I dont like it either. Dont even like holding hands while walking hehe
I am Canadian but agree with the majority of responses. It's different if it's parents and children , that's normal to show your child support. But as couples ...even holding hands shows insecurity and anything more is too much , regardless of gender or sexual orientation. Great video , thank you for sharing. Smiles from Canada 😊
It's OK if it's your dog, or a child, or your mother. Anything that even suggests something sexual is verboten, that's for behind closed doors. Which is a bit weird, given the Thais' well known propensity for enjoying the more hedonistic aspects of life.
The dude who's behind camera in the previous clips is in the red shirt in this clip: th-cam.com/video/3zQ7YM2IKwM/w-d-xo.html For the dude behind this specific clip, it's this guy: facebook.com/lioncomming/videos/10217374546340010/
Your audio was kind of low. I think that you are interviewing the wrong girls, they act like little kids. You should be interviewing more grown up people.

Yes, please do, Krabp!
Watching these again. So good!

Thanks again for this. Just reminds me that I shouldn't give much attention until I'm behind doors.😆
My Thai wife and I love your channel, but especially me as a farung married to a Thai national. ;)

Great video.
Could you ask the same questions of people in Bangkok? It would be interesting to hear how attitudes vary there to Ubon.
Another great video, Kit! Very interesting. Thai women are very conservative and very sweet. A very good thing! I wish more Western women were like them. Keep up the good work.

If you can do subtitle in thai and english would be awesome.
What part of Thailand is this video being shot? Has he been to Bangkok, or Pattaya and asked these questions?
Wait, I forgot to tell you: Include older people in your videos too, they have a lot of knowledge and can help your quest for info.
where did you shoot your vlog? It looks nice
It was shot during the Candle Festival in Ubon Ratchathani, hence you see some candles in the background.
I've done so much PDA in public secretly in Thailand.
Ok , bonne vidéo , the peoples choose their limits there is no judge, we are unfortunately not bonobos......5555
วัดดีครับผมเป็นไทยคนเดียวที่ดูคลิปพี่

what about walking arm in arm? like european style, hooking arms, strolling down a soi? Might need an older woman!
2:00 Wow who was that woman in the yellow top? lol
I wonder how your interview topic would go if you redid the video now that it is four years later and you are in Bangkok.
Sure, which topic you'd like to see me redo? This one about PDA?
Sure. It would be interesting to see if anything has changed.
Can we see the Camera guy some time...? 😅

I think Bow was into you and giving you a hint she'd like if you tried kissing her.
I've given plenty of pda to thai woman lol
Your audio was kind of low. I think that you are interviewing the wrong girls, they act like
little kids. You should be interviewing more grown up people.
lol I think she asked if your blind because that tall woman is a ladyboy
That's possible. LOL
I see one Ladyboy.
Difficult not to hug and kiss your friend at the airport after 2 long years .. 🥹😕
