Hi Gents; 250 4 strokes work better out of the turn when you turn up your idle some. I noticed your bike goes down low in rpm's when entering turns with the clutch in.
Hey guys very informative video. Thanks for posting! I'm getting back into riding after a long break. Looking for a bike that would be good at the track and also on challenging single track with long technical climbs. Would you say this model is up to that kind of diversity? I'm a former A rider who is looking to for a good all around bike. Thanks...Steve from Ohio.
Since you guys bumped up to 270 and 300 on the older Hondas, have you guys jumped on any of the 350's (XCF, FX, EXF)? What's your opinion 250 vs 350 for an all around track and woods bike?
Yes, we’ve had them all.. We like the 250’s better in the woods but the 350’s better on the track.. it really comes down to where you live & what kind of riding are you gonna do.. track or GNCC style woods then 350.. local wood races & single track then 250
You won’t regret it! We have 5 different riders.. wide range in age & skill level.. every rider agrees this bike is the most fun & easiest to ride 4 stroke ever
Did you end up buying one? I currently have a 08 ktm 250xcf and have been looking at a new rx as my next bike.. only thing i can pick at it having never ridden it is cable clutch. Likely going to pull the trigger when Honda finally gives them the hydraulic clutch (if ever?)
@@Riding-in-Gods-Country thanks for the response! and i totally get not getting a new bike. they’re definitely way overpriced, there’s a reason im still riding a 16 year old bike and why my other two bikes are both 42 and 45 years old… love them to death though!
Some say the suspension is kind of stiff for slow trail riding. I weigh 200 pounds so will the suspension be softer for me? I just want to do slow trail riding (Arizona trails, lots of rocks, probably no faster than 30 mph).
The Honda feels lighter, more power, & has a plusher suspension.. the Kawi is narrower & has better clutch (ez hydraulic).. we’ve already had problems with Kawi fouling plugs & puffing smoke.. the Honda has the bigger tank & Kawi doesn’t.. the Honda is the better bike
@@lastminuteracing8436 running green. Tried the white and it was to jerky for me. Did one race and rest is trail. I actually won it off Dirt Bike Channel.
Yes because of ergos & weight.. the YZ does have more power & more options like a 6 speed & WiFi tuning.. can’t go wrong with either but we just simply like the feel of the Honda better
Would you say this bike is great for hard enduro? slow technical ride?woods and rocks? can it compete with the 4-strokes of the ktm\Husky\Sherco? is its clutch lever easy to pull?
Wouldn’t be our first choice for hard enduro.. prob stick with a 2 stroke.. it can def compete with any other 4 stroke tho.. clutch pull is ez but not as ez as hydraulic
i bought new 2021...newer rider...i tried woods riding 1x...bike hates to go slow...but it could just be my limited experience. I was told it is more of a cross country / hare scramble bike with motocross capabilities....
We like the Honda better cuz it’s lighter & has plusher forks.. the FX stiffer forks is not an issue for “A” riders & the 6 speed is nice for higher speeds.. choosing between the 2 bikes depends on type of riding & skill level
I'm surprised to hear it's plusher than the yammy. Have you had it in the real woods yet ? i.e tree roots and rocks etc ? It's such a shame that Honda didn't put a wide ratio box in it. I'm still on hopped up CRF250X's as I need that gearbox for hard enduro. Good video. Well done.
Update vid is coming but the bike has exceeded all expectations. Everything is better than the previous model. It’s the best XC racing bike we’ve had. Trevor has won several races on it already!
@@lastminuteracing8436 hey, I've never been too comfortable with the physical size of the ktm's, just feels like I'm reaching too far. are these any more compact? 5'10 with short arms and legs 😄
Good honest review , I will share it on my Facebook crf250rx group 💪
Gorgeous bike. ( from the left hand side though, the engine looks tiny when compared to the 450 !)
Thanks for the review. Its hard to find good reviews on this bike
I strongly agree.
dream bike right here i only have a ssr 140tr bw right now😭

Shame they don't offer this with a street legal package
They do in Europe ! I absolutely love Red Moto in Italy… they prepare official road legal Honda CRF’s 250/300/350/400 and 450 for sale across Europe.
You can make it road legal

I think it can handle it for sure.. u being an A rider there’s prob several bikes that’ll work 4 u
@@lastminuteracing8436 Thanks for the feedback!
Yz 250fx is the all rounder to buy, getting my 2022 model in a few weeks
Great bike, hope to own one some day.
Great bike,Pretty! But I think the YZ250FX is better! It has all the extra goodies + better suspension& a 6speed trans
Yamahas are nice too! Gonna try and get one of there new ones when they come out this year

It’ll work great! Lots of adjustability.. we’ve got a guy your size on our team & he said it was 1 of the best stock setups he’s ever rode

She's beautiful 😍❤️
awesome job guys!
How's the top end over rev. I heard it lost that in place of the bottom end
It did lose a lil but it’s a good trade off for the overall power curve.. especially for a woods bike
How does it compare to the Kawasaki KX250X?

Both are great. A friend of mine has the R and he does plenty of woods riding on it with a few adjustments on the suspension
