Finally got my first ride on the 2022 Honda CRF250RX. What a machine this is. I instantly felt comfortable on the bike since I've been riding the 450 version of this a little bit over the past couple of months.
Will this bike one of my all time favorites, or will I prefer the Yamaha and Kawasaki over this 250? Time will tell. One thing is for sure, Honda knows how to make a dirt bike.

I love my 250! As per your previous video, I bought my first dirt bike. A 2020 WR250F. I mostly ride fire/access roads, ATV trails, and single track. The 250 is a great platform for a new rider.
Thanks for all the great content!

Honestly smaller displacement bikes are lot more fun just because their easier to through around and just easier to ride. But I would not trade my 450. just love having the power whenever I need it. Specially for dune and open desert.

So the motor / head & valves might last longer since for offroad, trail riding their is not much need to rev it out like a rider would be likely to do with Yami & Kawi 250?
That sounds like a good thing wirh the power being in the maybe 1st 70% of the rpm range.

The Sparky isn't for making it quieter really... it's just about controlling sparks, and the one in one hundred million chance that you could make a fire with that :). If you need to make it quieter, FMF has some decent options, but they would be full mufflers.

The mapping on Rx is different than the R, that's why the kawi seems like a top end screamer, because it's identical to the kx250 in the engine department. The Rx will seem more tame vs the R but the Dyno shows the same power just delivered differently.

@@jackieonassis7438 Yes I’m happy with the FX but it is stiff in stock form but not in an unpredictable way like the RX was. There are a lot of tuners with experience for the FX and more info and data to work with. I was one of the first to have a 22 RX and no one had any info on tuning so I was the “Guinea pig” I guess.
The 22RX could be great bike. It’s extremely lightweight, no engine braking and handles quickly, front brake is powerful and the engine was a great improvement over previous models but the suspension valving was terrible in my opinion and the exhaust system is prone to denting because they made is so lightweight.
