    This is not a "Product Review" just some things I noticed and wanted to share with you while I am comparing the grips. Hope you enjoy this! Thanks for watching! 😀

    I prefer metal over plastic any day. Great video, just like always. 👍

    It is always nice with those kind of comparison videos. It helps when not being sure which one to go for, even when the prime version is of more interest from the start. Your video just convinced me :)

    I have the old one and also the new one as a left hand grip for ED. Great video.

    I originally bought the VPC Constellation Alphas, then I decided to get the Primes. I prefer the Primes, they are worth the little bit of extra money. They feel better, and I love that they are made out of metal.

      After using the new Prime for some hours I have gotten used to the difference in button height. I also prefer the metal version.
      I do miss my old friend, the red button :)

      @@crashmetwice is it easy to open up the sticks and swap the buttons?

    • @crashmetwice
      @crashmetwice  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@kinggrizzly13 Well, I haven't opened the Alpha Prime yet as it is still under warranty and I am afraid to void it if I do. However, I did open the Alpha and if it is any indication for the new Prime than I have to say Absolutely not easy! You may want to have a look in a couple of hours when my new video is up which is exactly about what you are asking about. Thanks for the comment and your interest in my videos! Cheers

    the alpha prime ministick hat is higher than the standard Alpha, and higher than the other inputs on the grip. Rediculous and terribly uncomfortable. Looks terrible, and the hard plastic hat feels terrible.
    Honestly really disappointing, owning the primes now and having used the standard Alpha I would have absolutely just gone with the alpha. The weight of the metal stick is negligible with tuning, and the only benefit is the cool temp, which again only affects you for the first 10mins of use as the stick warms up.
    Clumsy design.

      Good to know! I just got mine this week and don't really have much flight time on it to draw a valid conclusion about it. I do like the metal grip over the plastic one and you will find out soon why I prefer it in an upcoming video called "Busted" ;) Thanks so much for your detailed comment! Cheers
      P.S. Now you made me think about modding the grip.😁

    The new dual-stage trigger and the hat switches feel horrible in comparison to the old one. I think I am going with Winwing next time around.

      I agree with you. All in all I liked the non-Prime grip a lot better myself. However, the construction seems a bit better on the Prime and hopefully hold's up. Thanks for watching and commenting! Cheers

    • @crashmetwice
      @crashmetwice  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I am glad you find my video helpful! After some flying hours with the Alpha Prime I got used to the changes in button feel. The metal grip feels nice in the hand, that's for sure. Yeah, the red button. I don't think it's worth tearing the grip apart and voiding the warranty over it. To take this grip apart is a huge undertaking I can assure you as I am still experiencing severe nightmares being chased by the ominous Hot Glue man 😵‍
      Watch my upcoming videos about it and you understand.

    would you recommend either one for someone with small hands?

    • @crashmetwice
      @crashmetwice  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      In general I would say yes. However, if you are on the small size of small, you may encounter problems reaching the pinky switch on the bottom left side. My wife has small hands (17cm from wrist to end of middle finger) and can operate all switches except for the pinky button. The palm rest is adjustable upwards to make a comfortable rest. Thanks for watching my video and your comment! Cheers
