Did someone notice this … She’s communicating nonstop while cooking It’s this Love called motherly Love Thank u so much Rasheeda ji Allah bless u always It’s simple classic English tht u share 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Hello Ma’am , I am from Punjab . I never saw someone explaining a cooking recipe in so much detail. I am genuinely very happy after watching your video because I always wanted a person like you in my life who can explain me even a tiny but most important things that nobody tells otherwise. Thank you so much Ma’am.. keep teaching us . God bless you ❤️❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻
Being British of Pakistani heritage- I loved it that it was in English . My poopijan, fathers sister , was also a great cook and yiu very much remind me of her . Very passionate & articulate - thank you 🙏🏽 💗
Awesome teaching , Mam. As a South African Malabari , I'm loving this very much. Bringing sweet memories of my paternal Grandma's Malabari Biryani. Looking forward to more recipes in English . Thank You .
Its so visible that she cooks with lots of love 💕 I'm watching this channel for the first time today and I watched the entire video without skipping because I really love the way she talks. It has so much warmth in it. Great work ma'am 😘
I loved everything about this . Passion, cinematography, decor, details and narration from a Indian mom which just feels like home. Thank you to you and your team. Looking forward for more recipes amma.
Watching this video felt like I was having a conversation with my grandmother. So beautiful and rustic. I loved the detail and technicalities explained. Two minutes into the video I hit subscribe. This lady is just amazing and I can’t wait to try out this recipe.
Wow this is a gem, as a professional i cannot emphasis enough about the wide range of topics discussed here, Mam you have deep experience and great talent to tell it like a tale. Thank you.
This rice is called GOBINDOBHOG here in Bengal. Usually we don't cook biriyani with this rice . But in Bangladesh, they do cook biriyani with GOBINDOBHOG... ❤
We do not use gobindovog, our rice variants are called chinigura and kalijeera which are small grained aromatic rice which are especially used for cooking biriyani, polao and firni or any kind of gourmet party dishes.
You brought back so many memories of my late Mom and you bear a striking resemblance to our old neighbour also named Abida. Whichever tradition one follows in cooking, Abidaji has demonstrated real love and old school artistry. Love it💚💯
People who just started cooking or who have never cooked, this video is for you. I have never came across such detailed explanation❤❤❤. Beautifully explained in detail. Thank you ❤❤❤❤❤
I am the first time viewer of your channel. Loved the way you explained the process of cooking biriyani. Loved your antique kitchen and the vessels. You are an excellent chef.❤
Lovely to see this video in English. I have watched your original Malayalam video. I don't eat, but I love cooking your biryani for family and friends who eat meat. I am a huge fan, Abida ji, and you are the best! Love the way you explain everything in such a simple way. I shared this video with friends who don't speak Malayalam but enjoy the Malabari biryani. Thank you for this!❤
I learnt so much. Bengali's will love this receipe. Gobindobhog short grain rice when fried in oil gives out the flavour which is highly sought after in durga puja prasadam. Now the question is which came first? 1) Lucknow Biriyani 2) Kolkata Biriyani 3) Malabar Biriyani
Gobinda bog is a variety of aromatic rice, which is smaller that Kaima or Jeerakasala. Another aromatic smaller cultivar called 'Kaasha' from North East, especially in Asom and Tripura (comes in three variant, red, white and black) are heavily scented and tastier than Gobinda bog. Unfortunately these are only available only with local farmers there
These is called dum that heat is created with aluminum which is old hyd style they don't Wana use term Dum cuz that will be very clear that the dish has been copied from hyderabad... and everyone knw how biriyani of hyd tastes
*Tried this chicken biriyani recipe. Made it at a small family get together everyone Loved it ❤. Thank you Abida Maam. 👍* Kindly do mutton & Beef biriyani too
Dear Madam, Your recipe absolutely amazing... You give very very important tips through out your video... I have never seen any video like this hence before... You have absolutely amazing knowledge of cooking... I am absolutely speech less... Thanks very much for your valuable guidance... May God bless you and your whole family... Thanks❤🙏 Sanjeev Kapoor is also fail in front of your knowledge... Great achievement for you... Thanks❤🙏
I have no words to explain how clearly you have explained. Lovely lovely lovely. Your love and passion for cooking and teaching both are shown in this video. Lovely
its great how smartly the viewers were made to believe that the original flavor of the chicken has to be the hero of the dish......and then comes the smart move to sell the bottled magic !! My God !! all this façade and act about original flavors and traditional food just to sell the bottle of spices. That's a job well done mam. The only way one can make such a biryani is through the magical fantastic bottle of carefully selected and finely blended aromatic spice mix mam is using. What a sham.
Thank you for your appreciation I have never asked you to buy my masala you can use any Biriyani masala And you do not know how much of money and work is involved in making of this video It’s easy to comment without looking deeply into such matters
This is an incredible video. Lighting is just amazing. I see such lighting in European movies especially Italian. The detailing of the recipe is so meticulous. The vessels have a vintage look which really enhances the optics. Will try it out. Thanks so much.
Truly a breath of fresh air to see you cook Mrs Abida! How earthly and endearing your presence and presentation is. You take us through a gourmet experience that is so arresting and educating that it is a joy to embark on each dishe's culinary journey with you!

What a beautifully made biryani!! Special admiration n respect for how you want all the elements of the biryani to shine by keeping the spice mix to a bare minimum ❤❤❤❤ more power to you !
Here in BengalThis rice is called Gobindovog (Vog/Prasad for Lord Govinda/Krishna), as in West Bengal, Assam and Bangladesh this rice is used for makin Payes(one type of Kheer). This rice is better than Basmati in every aspect. In Kerala and Tamilnadu this rice is also used to make Biriyani,, Pulao.
In fact, only in northern districts of Kerala (Malabar Region), small sized rice is used for Biriyani. In south Kerala, Basmati like rice variants are used.

Burdwan is in West Bengal. We call that variety as Gobindo Bhog rice, which in Kerala is known as Jeerakashala or Kaima rice.
