Yeah my mum met one of the management when she worked there before.....she mentioned that the mgmt is not keen or enthusiastic to find new tenants or make improvements on the mall. Is kinda like a passive thing to them.... What a waste! Since they built a bridge that linked to MRT station...
The overcrowded foreigners living the area becoming the fear factor and uncomfortable to moving around. Not to mentioned a petty crimes and crazy traffic are scary.. With the MRT, its even much convenient for residents surrounding the area to go to Kajang, Damansara or KL for shopping & window shopping.
I think the MRT connection is actually against it's success. Last time it is very hard for people to go taman cannaught due to the 8 lane highway in between. After building the MRT, it is just 1 station over to leisure mall.
This is the old mall that in my list of research study for my thesis, as i believe its dying due to "old" and no longger attractive and i was suggesting a revived to survived in 2007. The Mall, Indah Parade, Ampang Park, Ampang Point, PKNS Shah Alam hardly surved and need major interior upgrading to maintain its attractiveness & energy saving. My research subject as example of new modern concept & excellent well survived Pavillion, The Garden, Sunway, Midvalley, KLCC Mall. My 5 subject to be upgrade for competitiveness and revived The Mines, IOI Mall Puchong, Metro Kajang, Alamanda Putrajaya, Lot 10. Architecture, Interior Design and well maintained facilities playing a good major roles for anchor tenant & customer attractions.
Years ago I rmb I came here to watch a movie then had some steamboat rice, but after some time I came back and found that the restaurant I ate was gone. Is it closed down or since business cnnt continue as the mall is getting abandoned
Hmmnnnmn......do not understand entirely why malls as such not willing to open up to discuss on how to revive it...maybe come to conclusions on lower rental or even consignment...wonder how much is the minimal maintenance cost for utilities...i should think as long as it cover all the maintenance and utilities cost and make it alive is worth a try...
Holy cow! Luckily I didn't know about it before I explored the mall. If not I wouldn't have dared to explore. I am curious, is that the reason why Plaza Phoenix business went south?
@@ryan_go_wherewhen I was a kid I rmb my mum brought me to plaza phoenix for the arcade; then later on we just stopped going but she never said why- till I was older she told me that a friend told her to not bring kids there as the place was haunted. There are also a few stories I’ve read posted on lowyatforum.

The dead malls in the Klang Valley is absolutely insane.
