It started out well. Even had H&M store. But what killed it is its location. Evolve Mall is hidden behind rows of shophouses. Not visible from main road. Just like Atria Mall. Malls must be physically visible from main road. Worse - the shophouses are direct competitors to F&B outlets at the mall. Now the shophouses are also left with mostly vacant units. This mall was destined to fail from its inception on paper. No amount of renovation money can help it now.
The only reason I knew about this mall was because there was an ACG event here back in 2020. The mall was convenient since it was close to the LRT station, but it was only attracting people at the time for CNY celebration or the event itself. Plus, when I wanted to take a break with my friend, we could barely find a cheap and convenient place to eat at the time and we ended up eating at the mamak opposite of the mall XD. I have high hopes that they can turnover the mall and your suggestions at the end are something that I agree that the mall should consider doing. Perhaps they could open a Decathlon or some sort of arcade to attract customers or a community, since I have been seeing a lot of people carry out tournaments and gatherings for games like Maimai and Pump It Up recently.
Use to go there for Texas Chicken but eventually stop when Taxes closes. The most annoying are the valet parking that is ready to slap a RM7 parking at the road side parking even just to pick up some food. Parking at the basement is like going into a big maze and not directional friendly. Just my personal opinions.
Pre C19, the mall was actually doing well. Post c19 is when it started to be almost a ghost mall Another grave mistake the developer made was building so many shops units & restaurants around the mall. No less than 4 mamaks in walking distance, 20s of various cafes & coffee shops. 7e, KK, 99 all are just beside the mall. So, who needs to go into the mall anymore? Did you mention the sports arena on the rop floor? Are they gone? I don't know, but are bowling alleys, cinemas & kids attractions still revenant, good enough to help the mall today?
The shop units seems to me, built similar concept to Mid Valley/Gardens. e.g. a square around the mall with car access. Works great at Mid Valley/Gardens. The sports arena is there and looks like in good condition. During lunch time, of course I did not see activity. Cinemas are also down sizing.
cinemas are no longer relevant since covid due to streaming services. cinemas are closing down one by one lately, even gsc at citta mall already closed down.
The one and only reason why I visit quiet shopping mall is where the food offered is reasonably price and good enough for my taste bud. Make sure we can claim back the car parking charges there with a minimum amount of money spent. You can see shopping mall offering first two hours free with a minimal amount spent of rm50 is doing quite reasonably well in P.J Atria. Starling mall used to offer 1st hour free but reverted back to the normal per hourly charges so I choose not to go there so often. I think NSK in tropicana tree Damansara should at least implement back the claimable free parking charges to attract more customers going there. Why not do a review of how much rental per square foot for all the malls so we can see where to invest our money if we decided to start a business there?
Evolve Concept Mall Ara Damansara should evolve with the times and change their concept into Ara Ara Mall Damansara, catering to weebs and culture connoisseurs.
BWAHAHAHAHAA you know this mall is bad when people who live literally next to Evolve want to go to Citta instead of this bwahahahaha Truth be told, unless the mall actually evolves (pun very intended), then I wouldn't visit this dinosaur. (And yes, my comment is sharply more critical than the one in Pinnacle Mall)
The fengshui is bad plus the top floor is a death trap without proper exit routes. It is very convoluted similar to the SS2 Mall that died soon after opening again crazy floor plan
Generally Malaysia is not a good place for business due to racist policies and bad rule of law. So we can expect to see many neighborhood malls to be deserted.

Evolve mall has evolved to rubbish
Trivia: The area was an open landfill back in the '90s before it "evolves" to what it is now 😄
