Is it just me, or is stuff like this really hard to learn? Not because it’s hard to play. The opposite. Because it’s pretty easy, you fly through it, play it a few times and then days later, you’ve forgotten it. Stuff you have to grind through like Little Wing or Stairway or Welcome to the Jungle stays lodged in there somewhere because you played it a thousand times when learning it. This is another great lesson. Clearly explained without spending all day describing stuff that you should really know before you attempt it. Like the guys who are doing a lesson for Paranoid Android but spend a minute explaining how to play an open D major chord.
haha thank you for that David, yes, for the very most part I avoid going over the basics. And I think one has a reservoir of x amount of songs in the active ability, and x to the nth power of "if I went over it for 90 seconds I'd remember how to do it", but yes, with many of these songs, I teach them and then they go right out the other side of my brain... I've even watched my own videos as refreshers and been all "I had no idea that's what it was!"
Almost definitely the most epic solo ending ever. And a Ryan favorite the Major IV to Minor move. I didn't know this song until after that live stream. Don't know why I never learned it, I do love me some =w=. That harmonic in the bridge drove me nuts, I couldn't sing over it. After a few days I realized I'd stop singing when I hit those. My sister's name is Holly , and I was probably conceived around the beginning of February because that's 9 months away from Halloween, my birthday. On 2/2/02, I paid tribute to Buddy Holly(he was 22 on 2/3/59) and my conception date by buying an Ibanez Bass, Sonor Drum set, Yamaha Keyboard, a Trumpet, and a 1923( wasn't aware of "23" yet) Czechoslovakian Violin. Maybe I bought 1 or 2 of those instruments on a different day, but I remember buying a few instruments on 2/2/02. I still have all those instruments along with my 1978 Gibson SG Guitar.
haha, I wish I could tell you. when I turn the amp on it usually defaults to some tone I had no hand in creating, as was the case here, and it just happened to be a really good one for this song.

String update: Nothing broke, but G string did start going flat, so had to do some speedy earball tuning midway through. Quite succesful all things considered, I'd say :) Now contemplating dedicating one of my acoustics to this crazy F5 tuning and replacing the A string with a new low E string (to avoid the wobbliness of going down to F), and the G string with a new B string (so I don't have to fear for my life when I'm tuning up to C). If that makes sense?
oh yes no worries! My tuning is the same, I just don't have the guts to tune my strings that way, not to mention the hate comments i get on the daughter video for asking people to tune their E string up to G. I'm glad it went well for you Sloth :)

Not correct.
The 2nd chord is e string 4th fret. A string fret 7. Third chord is e string 5th. A string still on 7 fret.
