Really many odd choice, have to say: - why bright pink ID trays and rings in a serious WW2 game? - why are player boards blue and red when factions are green and gray? - why do the germans have a french tank while still missing so many iconic german tanks? - why does the 3-4 player expansion not only have the exact same armies but only a slightly different shade, I am sure that won't be confusing on the map, right?
This is a prototype so I assume the end product will be different, as I said. There were lots of French tanks used by the Germans in Normandy, and this one is governed by playing a card. As I also said, I am sure they will be plenty of tanks coming for those that love the Panzerporn.
@StormofSteelWargaming I know, still I find it surprising to have it but not a single Panzer variant, would've been nice to see a Panzer I for once if they wanted something a bit different.
I don't want to be too negative as this could be a fantastic series in the future but at the moment every wargamer probably has 10 versions of this already. Sadly this type of game now gets re-released every few years with few if any new mechanics or innovations. They're always US vs Germans 1944 with a few units types on geomorphic boards with a few cards to shake up gameplay. 20 years ago we got Memoir 44. 15 years ago we had Tide of Iron which is perhaps THE toy solder wargame. 10 years ago was followed by the Heroes system from Devil Pig which was a ww2 miniatures game without the minis. Then maybe 5 years ago Company of Heroes seemingly picking up where ToI left off. Only a few months ago Air and Armor was on kickstarter which is a reskin of the excellent Trench Club and between these releases theres probably a few dozen smaller ones, still with the same start point. There's undaunted, Heroes of Normandy, Point Blank, Warfighter, D-Day Dice, Sergeants the Miniatures game, etc, etc, etc. Can we not get a new toy soldiers in a box wargame for something other than Normandy 1944!? Just sticking to the 20th century ignoring ww2 we've still got all of ww1. Korea 1950 is interesting. Vietnam would be an amazing asymmetrical system. Chinese civil war but then again it'll probably be made in China so nevermind, no chance! Cold War gone hot 85. I'd love to see plastic T80s, Leopard 2s and M1A1s. Come on people stop remaking Saving Private Ryan in a box 10 times a decade!
Love the cat.
This looks great - auto back
Would have liked to have seen a sequence of gameplay.
Maybe in future.
Looks interesting, reminds me of company of heroes.
Would be interested in backing, but I'm quite invested in the undaunted series already.
Undaunted is a good series of games.

@@John21WoW there weren't many Panzer Is in Normandy.
how would you say it compare to memoir 44 ?
Didn't I talk about this in the video? It's a bit more complex.
