Damn 4000 zones 32 inch at 8k that's pretty insane. If the general performance and dimming algorithm is good that's one sweet monitor. A little silly at the moment for the vast majority but a cool glimpse into the future.
@brandonylee if ASUS can deliver at that price, it's a total steal! I've been looking for a 4k240Hz monitor & a good monitor for video and photo editing for quite some time, now, and I gotta say this thing looks brilliant! Also at that price, it's just as cheap as one of the monitors I was looking at, so I'm essentially halving the price. I'd be fine with flat 2k, too, however that'd be probably my maximum budget.
Not enough people are talking about the PA16USV. SDI in and that size if priced right will be a wonderful on set monitor. Not impressed with the 8K, in that price range I would just save up a little more and get the Flanders XMP310 QD-OLED. Also you mentioned viewing your 8K footage on set, correct me if I'm wrong but don't those BM cameras only send out a 4K signal anyway?
100% majority of RED, Arri and Sony body's that have the 12G SDI only do 4k anyways. On top of that it's still a compressed 4k image if your using a wireless system. Literally I haven't seen a system that actually outputs a monitor signal past 4k. It might be decent for DIT, but I would still go-to Flanders. I looked at both and still found the Flanders XM line the best bang for buck quality. And also its stupid sex flanders
What I meant was the DIT cart workflow. So if you have a DIT doing on-set dailies you can do 1:1 playback from their station at 8K, so it's less meant for direct monitoring as you shoot. Fully agree on the PA16USV, it felt like it was flying under the radar for most people.
@@brandonylee Ah copy. Yes I can see that. Thanks for the great video and bringing attention to this monitor. Also the PA16USV is being horribly marketed. I am struggling to find articles online or other videos on it. ASUS does not even have a mention of it on their website.
I can guarantee you cant tell the difference. As long as the delta E values are sub 2 and the BT2020 coverage is high you’ll be able to use this for just about anything from regular photo editing to HDR mastering.
Well, it is still cheaper than pro sony displays with 4k resolution with more than 20_000 usd price tag, but still higher than apple and dell with only 6k displays, for half of 8k price tag you can get only new 6k dell or old 8k dell But not gonna lie, wanna see cheaper mass market 8k monitors with specs of this asus and higher refresh rate with nice price one day, but looks like they won’t come soon further than tech demos and pro/enthusiast segment
@@zip3704 Im guessing when they googled the model number they took the pric they saw which is 3k - 3.5k and didn't make sure it wasn't showing the price for the old device.
8k monitor for $8k
Comes with a stand though
If you can afford 8k monitor you should not use the included stand.
It's a mistake!!! It will cost 3000 dollars us
They will say its far cheaper than 30k professional monitors. But those who are looking at those won't even bat an eyelid at this thing

if it would have 120hz I would have payed 8000€
love it when they never mention refresh rate
It's like when the salary isn't listed on a job posting; it's the smallest number you could realistically expect
60hz right? I want a 144hz 8k monitor
you did not mention the price for pa32ucdm
I don't think it's final but I believe they were targeting around $1500 USD
I have a 65" LG 8K mini led screen, that I use as a monitor the model is 3 years old, I bough it a year ago for just 1080 dlls.
Did Asus mention PA32UCDM release date/price?
No firm date, the estimated price is around $1599, but that isn't final
Amber Lin from ASUS said 2 half of this year.

Please can you do a video on color gamuts? I still don't really understand them
Let’s go Brandon
Damn this makes my 1440p 32" like a 720p monitor from 15 years ago lol

Wow what a great and insightful video, Brandon truly is the best youtuber❤
That monitor looks very washed out and ultra matte coated. Not sure how you can do color grading with it.
Huh! An 8k monitor that costs $8k!!
Best afford to broke everyone's bank 😂
When will the 8K come out? What is its refresh rate?
Probably 60hz. Slow
Yikes, $8,000 is not for the faint of heart. I was guessing about half that.

Nice commercial
Your jawline/cheeks is red 😊😊😊 take care 😮
Wtf, where you have this price from???? It's 3k dollars, or 3000 euros in europe!!!
Wtf, where you get this price from???? It's not even out yet, you cannot buy it!!!
Other outlets say estimated $8000 too. where are you getting that 3000 from?

Cool but can you game in 8k? 😂
Yes. But not a 144hz panel. So 60hz is too slow
