@@PlantFriendDownTheStreet Yes please! you’re totally the plant queen of the block. I used to try to not to stare at your collection when I was tossing my recycling but these days I’m like a deer in the headlights
That's great advice! I don't have any calathea but my stromanthe trio star taught me a lot! I'm sooo much more comfortable growing humidity loving/ finicky plants than I was prior to owning the trio star.
Nice! I love Stromanthe. Haven’t had a chance to own any but it’s on my list eventually for when I have more space. Is it on your Instagram? I wanna see!
@@PlantFriendDownTheStreet lol the one u grew in ur conditions was the one I was talking about but they're all beautiful. I don't have one yet. Im a lil scared lol
I just received my first albo today, and it’s young and healthy with beautifully balanced variegation. I feel like you, it will grow up with my environment. Appreciate the tip about watering sparingly. That consigns with the tips the seller gave me.
Great video! I have a baby Queen Anthurium and it's in greenhouse cabinet now. My hope is that when it's bigger and the roots are stronger, I can move her to pon in a self watering set up.
That’s what I have my bigger queen in now! One thing I discovered is that queens really do better with filtered or distilled water. I got lazy and have her tap water and she threw a fit.
🤣🤣🤣 the funniest part about that is that I edited out a lot more failed attempts. In my defense I think this was like the third video I filmed that day.
Mine are only kept in 50-60%. I guess it just depends where you live. I also have a grow tent for the babes that need an extra boost. Glad you liked it!
@@PlantFriendDownTheStreet Really? That’s about where my plant room sits too! I always see people with cabinets that are 75-85% humidity so I always thought they needed that!
@@StitchesbySharonH tehehehehehe NOPE! As long as the plant is healthy and has good roots, a lot of them can tolerate lower humidity. Self watering helps! The super high humidity is only required for rehabbing, in my experience, which is why I have the grow tent, but yeah most of my plants are fine in 50-65%.
You are so lucky to have Luxurians that perfect!! I got mine from Ecuagenera. It came with three stunning leaves which turned yellow and died within a week roots roted but I didn't gave up on it . I chopped the roots and leaves treated it with a solution of water and hydrogen peroxide and I'm left with a 8cm stem with a growing cataphyll sitting in perlite in a propagation box under grow lights. I hope to see new roots soon because this is a plant I m simply head over heels for it!! ❤️ By the way what substrate do you recommend for it when rooted?
It gave me roots finally and started growing a new leaf!! I won't lose hope by no means!!! Currently it is out of the prop box acclimating in my bedroom under grow lights!.
@@victoriagrapsidou3474 I got one from the Ecuagenera pop up and she’s rooting like crazy in water in my table top greenhouse. They are really thirsty plants.
Hi Dan! I’ve had them in a few different ones and I think by far that pon has been the easiest. These plants don’t like changes to their conditions so I will be keeping mine in my table top greenhouse from now on. The plant in this video took a dive over the winter but the growtent brought it back. It’s currently pushing a leaf and then I’ll add it to a bigger pot in pon with the other one. Gorgeous plants but they aren’t very tough.
It it’s an import, check the roots/stem for rot, let it soak in some water for a few days and keep in high humidity with nice bright light and 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻. If it’s established in substrate, they hate to dry out!
Could you make a video about grow lights please, idk why it’s so hard for me to find a simple normal color (not red or blue) light. Not sure what kind of bulbs to get 😔
Hi! I could definitely make a video about the ones that I use if that would be helpful, but it might be a few weeks before I can get to it because I have a lot of content scheduled out already. I have a few different ones from Amazon that work pretty well for lighting a small space with a few plants. Legends of Monstera actually did a series with me on his channel and we talk about grow lights a lot in a few of the episodes. The strip lights I use on my plant shelf are called “Enfuntins LED Plant Grow Light Strip Full Spectrum” and they are just normal light, the two arm lights that I have clipped to my shelves are called “LED Grow Light for Indoor Plants,Full Spectrum Dual Head Desk Clip Plant Light for Seedlings/Seeds/Succulents,Adjustable Gooseneck & Timer Setting 3H/9H/12H,3 Color Modes” and the three headed lights I have in might grow tent are called “Grow Lights for Indoor Plants, KINGBO Full Spectrum”. Hope that helps!
At this point for this video, the best I can do is add a list in the order that they appear, but I’ll try to put the names on screen in new ones going forward. I got you for the video coming out this Friday 😉 1. Anthurium Waroqueanum 2. Philodendron Luxurians 3. Monstera Deliciosa Small Form Albo Variegata 4. Calathea Warscewiczii
It would be great if you can make your voice audio louder or look into a mic. I love watching your videos but it has been very difficult to hear you lately.
I’m so sorry… my rode lavier mics are here and so going forward will be using those. TH-cam makes the audio so quiet when I upload for some reason 😖. Hopefully the problem will be fixed for the next one!
Hey! Thanks for powering through with the low audio but I finally got new mics from Rode and all the videos going forward will be much easier to hear. I’ve been editing a few and uploaded a private one yesterday to test it out and it seems much better. The audio has been a journey so I appreciate your patience!
