- Please note that all photos and videos shown in this video where taken during MTA NYCT Subway Family Day (An event for MTA Employees and friends and families of MTA Employees) I was let in by a friend of mine who works in MTA All footage shown in this video was filmed legally, please remember to never tresspass.
The R211T Cars are going to be entering service soon, However during the MTA Family Day a lot of people got to experience the new Open Gang way Subway Cars early. In this video I show several of the new features that will be in the R211T Subway car once it enters service. Additionally the R211Ts are going to be MTAs first ever Open Gangway subway car. The R211T has Most of the same features the R211As cars that are already in service have.
Enjoy this exclusive look into the R211T Subway cars and let me know in the comments what your thoughts are on MTAs first ever Open Gangway Subway car. Thanks for Watching!
Note that all this footage was filmed on my Camera and not my phone that I normally use for filming due to my phone being nearly dead at the time when filming this. I apologize if the footage came out a little shakey or grainy, espcially the first video clip. I did my best to fix all this in editing.
They look similar to the new cars that will begin to be used on LA Metro this year. They started testing them a few weeks ago. LA Metro is finally replacing their 30 year old train cars.
Someday I’ll be able to ride the R211s…
OMG The arnines look awesome
This is so cool!
Like the windows on the R211s that are cute like half windows 😊😊😊
cool video on the r211t one day I will rideit
This is pretty neat how they didn't make the gangways look like the SBS 🙌🏾
I was there at the Coney Island Depot.
Very cool tour
I can't wait to see the R211T on revenue service and ride R211A on the A line once I come to New York. Although I rode on R62A, R46, and R160.
Well the R62AS has to hang in there a little bit longer because they did not find no builders to build the R262/As for the iRT A devisins yet.
@@leecornwell5632 I see
They definitely gonna fix all the R211As R211Ts boxes from under neath the cars I'm telling you. Some one messed up the R211 the R211As had a flat wheels and they took all the R211As out of passenger service.
I have a real serious question. Don't you wish that the 8 Thrid Avenue Elevated line was still running?.
They can keep the R211T. Open gangway cars is no good unless there's end transfer doors to the next car. The accordion will make it safer to cross btwn them.
They are planning to make the final 437 cars in the order open gangway trains.
Also the Open Gangway cars will have doors between cars, but they will remain locked in the open position by default. Only the train crew will be allowed to close the gangway doors to isolate cars if necessary.
And besides, Open Gangway trains are good.
doesnt ciy have a disabled r44?
No idea
OpenBVE train modelers must of gone crazyyyyyyy
is it going to be available for all subway lines?
I think it’s suppose to cover most. The R211A/Ts will retire the remaining R46s and as for the numbered line there will likely be completely different fleet order as the numbers lines use different car lengths and widths then the lettered lines
@@andrevwzbve oh ok.
@@andrevwzbve thanks
The A devisin iRT lines will definitely have the R262/As open gangways and end ways just like the R211As R211S .
U lucky sob
There aren’t enough seats on these trains. Idiotic design.
It has roughly the same amount of seats as the R179 and R160 Cars
if they give r211 on f, at least give r160 on broadway
The interior of the r211t trains 🚊 are awesome 😎 ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ 3:24
