I remember this time vividly. I was working at the Harbor Freight Tools on the otherside of the underpass at 06:53 (Mountain and 7th in Upland). Was a couple weeks away from my son being born and was going into my last semester of high school.
Brand new 98’ Dodge Ram sport at 16:01! I have it’s twin but in blue. I restored it and repainted it. It’s like brand new again. I was hoping you were going to walk up to it and film close like you always do to new vehicles.

I was only wondering if June of 1999 woild ever come. I look back and wish I can go back to the stuff we don't have anymore and the relatives we have lost. Seeing 1998 is very sentimental.

I clearly remember things like people standing out in the street yelling "carwashhhhh" and seeing people on payphones though. Those arm loading trash trucks were like the coolest thing back then to us because they were hand loaded up to that point and we had bags on the street in a pile. Love the vid.

Brings back so many memories, was born in 90' so my entire childhood was 1993-2003 but I notice as I get older my memory becomes more fragmented and never had the discipline to keep a personal diary as well as the tapes my parents filmed of me back then were all destroyed by hurricane Katrina in 2005. Miss these days so much, just more normal and simple still remember riding with my family in an old 80s buick that was also destroyed by the same hurricane.

Wow, this was a year before I was born. (Dec. '99) Life back then seemed relatively the same as it is now. Of course, there were no smartphones, 4K TV, etc. and the Web was still pretty young.

being born in '90 I tend to think of the decade being part of the greater contemporary "now" period, but damn this seems its was filmed in the 80s.
