I got to say bro, you have some dedication to recording. Watching your videos makes me wish more people in the 80's did that. Thanks for giving us a look back at the golden year
Now this is an era I can remember I was 13 years old, at 12:35 Gilbert you say "can we all imagine what this place will look like in 10,20 years from now" it'll be 20 years in 4 months, what does it look like now?
Pretty sure he's around the Montclair bus station there and it pretty much looked the same 10 years after that and now. They just made some renovations at the terminal.
My folks had a 1987 Nissan Maxima w/ a digital dash. Brings back memories of the 80s. I didn't know Mazda had a similar dash. Lets go Back to the Future.
That new 1997-98 F-150 at 9:23 is so cool. I have a 2001 F-150, the same generation style (1997-04) but now old and very used but still running good. I find it cool too that in 1998 your ‘84 Mazda was the same age as my dad’s 2004 Buick Regal was when he sold it 2018. By then it was starting to rust through but I remember him getting it in 2007
Wow this is trippy! I lived in Corona in 98. I used to skate at that McDonalds. I lived over at the Country Hills apartments by the Tapatio market that's no longer there. Good times!
When I go to nicer parts of California, most the cars I see look 2015+. When I go somewhere like tuscon AZ, I feel like I might as well be in 2004 half the time.
If you turn on a camera now and start recording people will just watch you in the distance and some will even come up and say they're going to call the police
Nostalgia City! If only you walked east on Arrow a bit more, I think I could have seen some of the businesses I used to "visit"! That Big Yard is still there. Aside from the "new" police station, that intersection still looks more or less the same! Where you got gas, at first I thought it was the intersection where Costco is now since the video is entitled Montclair BUT it sure looks like the intersection in Upland my parents still live; 8th and Mountain! I still can't remember there being a gas station there! Wow! Thanks for the memories, buddy!
I recognize a lot of that from when you were standing on Arrow, a lot of it is still unchanged but damn, its so wild to see it before all the new developments
12:33 "Could we all imagine how this place will look like ten, twenty years from now..." Weel, iguess you can check this out for us, soon in a video...
How much were you making at this job in this time? Love the vids brother!! I used to comment all the time on your vids, and then yewtube got rid of me. I’m so happy I came across your vids again
@@fueledbymusic3 that doesn’t seem too bad for those times. Gas was so cheap! I remember in AZ in the early 2000s gas was around 99 cents a gallon when I was a kid! Time flies man, I’m so happy for all your videos and your hard work Gilbert!

Very relaxing
@12:30 Gilby, time to go back to this place and give an update! That would be cool!
Ohhhh man I want to be alive in those times right now
Hi, Gilbert. Love your videos. I'm wondering how you avoided a frequency of accidents. Shoulder cam while driving is tricky.
Its not a shoulder cam lol it's hand held.
Shouder cams were earlier.
