    I will never have to do that job but it was instructive thanks. You could probably do with an ultrasonic parts washer I suppose. I was amused to see a bbq sauce bottle in use. Cheers mate.

    Good day from Ontario Canada Yrs ago had DB 950 & cav pump went . That part in centre I think they called it hydraulic head??
    So how do we keep pump from getting varnished up?
    I have IH 574 & don't use it much Thanks good video

      Not really sure, sorry mate. Because the DPA pump is lubricated by the flow of diesel through the elements, it increases the amount of varnish you will find in the pump. This is why I do not particularly like them, compared to a Simms Minimec for example which is lubricated by its own oil. The only thing I could think is fuel stabiliser in the tank, as varnish usually only develops from the residue of old fuel that has been sitting.
