I feel like the only changes that I'm 'meh' on is the half bubble animals half reg animals; I really wish they stuck to having all the old models for the animals with updated graphics. The other thing is the name changes, Molly will always be Muffy to me. Everything else looks amazing though so really has me excited!
I can understand that lol. The cows definitely look more like the originals than the sheep and chickens do to their HM counterparts. 🤔 But we'll see. I am sure they'll grow on us. The pink sheep is very odd considering how much more realistic this game is with animal growth. But still cute!
And yeah I agree with Muffy/Molly haha I will probably alternate from habit. Either way I can't wait!

I completely agree because this game defined my expectations as well. I was a bit confused when other entries in the series were way different with kids and aging. Definitely the remake of my life so far. I don't think any other remake has topped it yet. It's going to be so much fun! 😊
Admittedly, I only knew about the whole Mark/Pony debacle because of fanfiction 😅 though I've also heard Tony/Pony and Jack/Jill, so I'm not sure where the official consensus came from. Kassey having a crush on Muffy, however, is news to me! Did that ever get an event or mention in-game or...?
😂 I didn't realize there was fanfiction-but then again, I should've realized there was fanfiction for fanfiction's sake. Anyway, now that you've brought it up I do recall Jack/Jill at some point. Who knows what the names actually are, or were intended. And it said on the HM:AWL Wiki that "It's revealed that he has a crush on Muffy." It doesn't list an event or a specific moment or place where this information is given but I assume it's in conversation. We'll see in the new game, though! 😁Thanks for making me laugh about the fanfic comment. That one got me good.
If Kassey can have a crush on Muffy, I would love to have a crush on Patrick.

I wish they added all the cute ds content (skye pls). And changed a bit of the ending. 30 yours later Romana is still kicking! I am excited to have a realistic farming game that progresses . I hope the cows only having milk for a year or so after birth stays and such.
I do wish they added the DS extra characters as well. Sometimes I feel the valley is empty, and yeah Romana hanging around after 30+ years is insane lol. I really have high expectations that the cows will only be milkable after giving birth because the old game was more realistic. I am really excited to have this as well! :)

Omg I’m so happy. I think I see what looks to be a star cow behind the menu for buying the sheep. I was worried they weren’t in there since they were pretty broken in the old games and weren’t in any of the trailers so far.
I'm really glad you brought this up because I forgot about the different levels of cows. I'm sure they've fixed the issues with them. I recently read up on them to refresh my memory. I do remembering being quite frustrated with them now lol

I just wish they'd make Flora a marriage candidate in this one. She wasn't an option in the original (though she was in HMDS, which I never played), and I always thought she should've been.
I agree! And since she's already IN the game, unlike other extra chars from HM DS, I think it's plausible for a potential update. We'll see! 😌

Yes!! There are 8 bachelors/bachelorettes: Rock, Gustafa, Mathew (prev. Marlin), Cody, and Molly (prev. Muffy), Lumina, Nami, Cecilia (prev. Celia)
You are able to play as male, female or non-binary. There's customization for hair styles/colors, skin colors, face type and eye color, along with different clothing to choose from later in game.

So the old tactic was / Fruit Trees > Seed Maker > Cross Pollination
That's how you become a millionaire and don't have to actually farm (other than fruit)

I imagine they'll have a link if you own Friends of Mineral Town on the console you're playing on, whether that be Switch, PC or Xbox/PS4, and yeah I remember doing that now with the fruit trees! Lol. I'm pretty confident they'll keep that mechanic if we're looking at the same prices for stuff. Thanks for reminding me!

Same. When I saw the remake I was so excited, and then when I read on their page that you can marry regardless of gender I was SO happy. It took a great childhood memory and filled me with so much excitement. This very well may be my favorite game ever, definitely in the top 5. I love the inclusion of all kinds, and it can only get better. 😊
