It is very fast, in most games I usually wait about 3 years before I get married. 😅 Luckily in this one it's not too difficult and if you don't propose you'll get to choose between those who like you the most.

While I'm interested in buying this remake, the one thing that is really bothering me is the art style. Everything is so bright and cute. It doesn't really provoke the nostalgia I have for the original landscape and character designs. But I know the quality of life updates in the remake will make me not want to return to the original. So I'm currently replaying the special edition of the Original game, just to get a final dose of the original nostalgic look before the remake comes out.

Not sure if it’s the highest but with what I’ve personally done so far in year one has gotten me copper upgrades with the tools we start out with. With the farm you’re able to buy a lot of upgrades but if you’re like me and focus on friendships first, you may only be able to get the seed maker for free from Daryl as well as the pond.
Hello, do you know what is the purpose of going to town/leaving forgotten valley? (Going into the area when you first came from at the start of the game) I tried it once and it advanced 6 hours mentioning I helped out at an orchard, I'm wondering does it serve any purpose?
It serves no real purpose except as an Easter Egg for players of the original game because you took that road to connect to your Gameboy Harvest Moon Friends of Mineral Town, so the little descriptions are Mineral Town easter eggs. Otherwise, it's just for skipping ahead in time.

Damn I thought mining would be worth it in this game like all the other HM and SOS games. I spent too much time looking for gold items there because it gave me a lot of money in my first few days that I hardly do fishing or talk to anyone in town.

I feel like the QoL improvements outweigh the older art style. I am also thrilled with Cody's transformation into Gordy
