I always love his performances, but really he gets the best of both worlds with consistent work with interesting roles without having people pry into his life too much.

Best way to think about being a defense lawyer for cases like these is -if you do your job as Defense to the best of your ability, then any verdict brought about in the court of law is -*-not thrown away through mistrial.-* If you're a bad defense attorney, the creep can file for a mistrial and walk, but if the defense is good and they still get punished, that punishment STICKS.

The one glaring issue here is the reason they don't show the ACTUAL decoy on TCaP, but rather use a childhood photo from a member of the staff. It would be very easy to get off without any charges because all you'd have to say is "As soon as I saw her, I realized it was a 19 year old pretending to be 14!" and there's no real way of proving that to be a lie, because it really WAS a girl of legal age PRETENDING to be a minor, which is why TCaP always made sure never to let the predators see the decoy until AFTER the actual crime (showing up after expressing intent) was committed.

Intent to distribute outlawed material (such as CP or instructions on how to make explosives, or unregistered firearms) Intent to deprive a person of property (also known as larceny) So yeah, there’s a ton of legal precedent. The man believed she was an underaged girl, and he clearly had intention to travel to another country, and bring her back to the States (also known as human trafficking), and the reason why is because he wanted to sleep with her, and that intent can be inferred because of how the girl was presenting herself.
