I've had this exact model for a month now, and have zero regrets. I read numerous articles, and watched who knows how many videos featuring this watch. The funny thing is, the actual time is the last thing I notice when I look at it. It's easy to get lost in the details, and forget you were checking the time. As you would expect, the fit and finish is excellent. It's stunning in person, and the rubber band is very comfortable after a few days. Also, with 6.6in wrists, it wasn't clear to me if it would look too large. After wearing it for this length of time, it looks good to me. Would I think the same if I had 6in wrists? Probably not. As a side note, I don't get why people have an issue with the HE valve. To me, it's part of the character of the watch, and doesn't diminish the value. Overall, pretty happy with this purchase.
I have mine on the rubber strap. The dealer offered the option of the bracelet, but it doesn't appeal to me as much. On the rubber, it has a sporty look to it. I wear it mostly with casual clothes, and it works for me. If you want something that has a more formal aesthetic, I'd go with the bracelet. For my purposes, a 14060 reference Submariner is the less casual go to.@@marekmusil3179
I bought one new in 2005 with a blue dial and got the new 2022 black dial on bracelet last month. I love the watch and the dial is unreal in sunlight. When you get the black dial straight on you gloss black with waves, from a slight angle it looks great and at more extend angles looks like a silver mirror. The bracelet is incredibly comfy with a huge adjust on the fly range. It's the perfect daily wear watch.
The SMP is my favourite Omega too, even since I was a teen and I first saw the original in the mid 90’s. Never had the same nostalgic connection with the Speedy.
Outstanding Omega. The white dial with the black Omega rubber strap is classy, casual, sporty and can be worn with anything. The combination of the case/dial mixed with the rubber band is a great dichotomy.
I appreciate your conclusion thesis. It kills me everyday that I’m gonna get an Omega in October during my vacation to Hawaii. I want to experience my first Omega watch there. But I’m always looking at the chrome/blue versus the white dial both with the rubber strap. Thanks for such a spiritual video🙏🏽
I just got myself one in black, on a steel bracelet that is really nice to wear. I particularly like the way it feels quite heavy when I pick it up, and when it’s on my wrist it feels well balanced. The way the light reflects off the black on the dial is so nice too!
Great watching your own personal reflection and experiences of owning this Seamaster P - love seeing people passionate about their timepieces!! A wonderful watch, and as per earlier comment, a true Icon 💪
So when my oldest boy was only three years old, we were watching Goldeneye and he saw Bond's Seamaster 300M. He said, 'that watch is way better than yours daddy, you should get that.' 25 years later, I bought it (albeit the newest version and in the blue of course). Great watch, and great video Harrison. The white is gorgeous.
THREE YEARS OLD?... THREE YEARS OLD?. COMPLETE TRIPE. IF YOU'RE GOING TO CONCOCT A "STORY", GIVE IT A SLIVER OF PLAUSIBLENESS AND CREDIBILITY. YOU MUST TRY HARDER. HOPE THAT HELPS.
I strongly agree with your video. I also purchase my aka GREAT WHITE SMP300 in 2020. I enjoy wearing it. Honestly I do believe that it's better than my Rolexes is that same playing field. Also have the new 126610LN which I purchase December 31st 2020. But my Omega has more wrist time then an other of my timepieces.
My love for the Omega SMP started with the Pearce Brosnan’s Bond movies. In 2019 I could afford the new version and oh boy, didn’t think twice, hasn’t left my wrist ever since.
This is the best fitting most comfortable 42mm watch I’ve ever worn. I have a 6.5 in wrist. I dont owned it unfortunately, but would recommend anyone to get it. It is more beautiful and unique in person.
You´re totally right! Actually I was going to the AD today to buy the black or maybe the black/sedna-gold one, but when I tried the white on in person on the rubber strap I was totally blown away and took the white one. I love the contrast between the black/white and the watch feels way better on my wrist than all my other watches.
I have one but its not perfect, the bezal is difficult to grip compared with most other Divers the laser finishing on the dial looks very machine made, lacks personanality. And the price of a rubber strap is a bit over the top. However you mentioned lots of good points and it's very recognisable which I like
Very nearly bought this watch a few weeks ago but it just lost out to the Planet Ocean in Summer Blue. Still want this watch though. One day it will be mine.
I just bought one in blue to go for the Pierce brosnan look. Still debating on whether I should swap out my metal bracelet for the mesh milanese one…Cheers Chisholm Hunter!
I like the watch but i dont like skeleton hands as i much prefer the broad arrow hands by about 2000%. So much so id enquire about swapping them out if possible . Generally i prefer the 300M to the 300 although the sandwich dial is nice too .
I feel like my new 2022 omega seamaster bezel a bit like loose...the bezel is slightly like "play" (not tight like rolex/breitling). Plus when i gentle press the bezel for example at 1'o clock, the opposite bezel at 8'o clock there is tiny lifting ... I ask omega boutique they say its normal...just wondering any of other owners feel the same? Is it normal? Thx guys
Oddly I hate the large gas escape vale on the seamaster but on the AP diver I find it more acceptable yet it’s essentially the same . I do feel if Omega upgraded to a Rolex style escape valve I do think it would do the watch some justice and improve the overall look
Only thing I have to criticize is the sound quality… the wind noise was really not great to hear.. even your background music got washed away by it.. and indoors there‘s too much echo. The rest of the video and quality is fantastic! Good content and story! Good audio will make your videos even better then at the moment!!!!
Can you please tell me which music did you use on the background ? Just love it ! 😁 (the watch too of course!) cool ! I found it thanks to Shaazam, the music is : "Nanda Devi - Ooyy" !
just over £4k to £5.2k and i hear another price rise on 11 Sep - the prices are going up and up and up.. not sure if the watch itself has improved dramatically
That’s great .. I found the prices in secondary market are still very reasonable for these watches .. congrats - love the white dial :) looks great and solid watch
@@rohanpandey4364 Thank you! Yes, the secondary market is always a great alternative especially on watches like this that don't hold their value well, but I had to go with a new one as I'm very nitpicky😅
Beautiful on quality and the movement is very impressive but one major problem for me. I am the very happy owner of a 1993 auto Bond watch with beautiful thin case and a beautiful warm patina on the tritium hands and indices. Something the newer seamaster will never become and that is why I will probably never purchase one.....
I love everything about this watch except the hands. I wish omega could come up with a better way to honor the heritage but give us a less dated looking handset. The hands have stopped me from buying this watch.
I'm seeing quite a few people in the comments who own one of these. I'm always interested to know what jobs people do that they can afford to drop five grand on a watch (or multiple five grand watches for that matter!) ...
I appreciate the point, James. I think you have a mix of inherited money, high-paying jobs, and people (like me) who just like watches and are willing to prioritize them in their budgets. Look at it this way: If you can put away $500 per month, this watch is yours in less than a year. If you can put away $250 per month, less than 2 years. Do that repeatedly and you've got a nice collection. But not everyone has the ability (or willpower/patience) to do that. For some, there just isn't any fat in the budget to set aside.
"AS A PHOTOGRAPHER"... DO YOU NOW BELIEVE THAT IT WAS EXTREMELY INAPPROPRIATE FOR YOU TO GRIMACE UPON HEARING THE SOUND OF THE EMERGENCY SERVICES SIREN?. THAT DEVICE IS USED TO HELP CLEAR A PATHWAY, IN ORDER THAT HELP CAN BE RENDERED TO THOSE PEOPLE OR EG BUILDINGS IN PERIL. Great choice. I love both but the White Seamaster stood out to me!
Love my SMP Great White also! The skeleton hands bug me only because they lose lume quickly at night but by day they’re beautiful. Good vid. Subbed.
I’ve had my eye on the great white on the black rubber strap for probably four years and I finally picked up one last week. Man is it good.
When I bought my 300m I struggled deciding between the white dial and the blue dial, ultimately I chose the blue dial and I'm very much enjoying it.
I love my black wave ceramic SMP 300 MC. I daily it and my Speedmaster. Superb watch and a true icon!!

I love the weight when on the bracelet. Titanium watches confuse me!
Do you use your manual micro adjust often? I’m still trying to size one I just bought. In blue though. Cheers mate!
White dial is my favorite!
Probably one of the best looking watches ever along with the Hamilton Interstellar.

Purchased the white dial last saturday. Stunning watch
Great choice! Beautiful peice.
Congratulations, mine is going +3 sec. a day, how about yours?
The seamaster diver is the perfect modern watch. I am glad you agree.
It is indeed! Incredible watch.
I traded in a planet ocean today and picked up a black dial Sedna gold on rubber strap. Love this watch.
The sedna is a beauty. Awesome choice.
Looks great on the rubber. Beautiful combination!
