Thank you for this! You confirmed that I could use a wood putty / water combo to fill in the mini gaps I get on my 1:16 models.
Really appreciate you takiing the time to show us all the orientation stuff, really useful thankyou so much.
Thank you!
Lots of great tips...thanks for sharing
Amazing step by step video, not everyone shares settings, steps and products. A++ for you.
I appreciate that!
Huge help in this video. As always.
Glad to help!
This was an awesome video thank you for sharing. Happy printing.
Thanks for watching!
great video!!! thanks this helps me more than you know
Glad to hear it!
I've never seen the Apoxie stuff before. Rest assured, that's on my shopping list now! Thanks for the tips! 👍
nice tips fantastic model aswell
Thank you! Cheers!
drywall filler works great in a pinch for filling in smaller imperfections
Great vídeo!
Thank you!
Apoxie Sculpt can also be smoothed with water... but they also sell Apoxie Safety Solvent - and it's amazing to use to smooth out your Apoxie Sculpt finish or to thin it down. I use it for all my bigger gaps and fills. Also saves you some sanding.
Yes it does!
@@TheCreativeCollector Apoxie Sculps smooths way better with isopropanol alchool...water makes it separate
I dont have a problem with it separating with water. And yes, alcohol works great too
@@TheCreativeCollector cool! Btw. Love your work/videos! Keep the good work
Some great advice there, this was just the kind of cravis - crack - join filler I was looking for.
Glad it was helpful!
👍
A great channel for learning painting and how to print
The only thing I would do different when you cut in Meshmixer
Make pegs for the parts,so they can attach to the part you cut off
I would but they don't always line up right due to expansion and contraction.
Another awesome video! Question for you: what's the best method you've found to fill support divits? Also what grade of sand paper do you use with the G-tool?
Thank you! So I usually don't have huge divets from supports so I sand them down. If I do I use Tamiya spot putty. The Gtool comes with a couple of sheets of fine grain pads so I use those. That thing also helps big time with divets.
I’m new to resin but I have and extensive background in fdm, I use a program called Luban and it cuts and keys each half of the model!
Yes, Im familiar with Luban. Seems like a good program.
@@TheCreativeCollector indeed it is, works wonders on the fdm side!
I just printed spider women and the leg has a huge gap thanks to this video I know what to look for now
great work. you must used a lot of resin
Not as much as I thought I would have. It took about 4000 grams
Will you feature this model when done?
It will be most interesting to see the seams after it's finished.
Absolutely! I'll definitely feature it when it's done. So far its turning out great!
@@TheCreativeCollector
Nice! Lookin' forward to it.
And good to hear it's turning out great!
have you done a video on magnets? maybe when and how to use them, sizes etc?
Not yet. I don't use them too much since I make these pieces for myself. I may do a video in the future.
@@TheCreativeCollector so everything you make is for you? you don't sell any or do commission painting?
What tools will I need to shape the putty that I used to fill gaps?
Just some basic sculpting tools. Nothing special.
Where do you get all these amazing minis? I just got a resin printer and I've been looking to print some gifts for my friends, who're big Marvel fans
Well they're not minis, but most of mine come from Wicked 3D and they make one piece files so you make them into minis if you want. If you check out their FB page you'll see a lot of people have done that for MCP games.
Have you done a video painting this model
Yes I have! Should be in there.
What is best for gluing these pieces together sir
2 part epoxy from BSI Industries
Hi. Nice tips. Where is this model available for purchase?
It's from Alvardo Stuardo. He's on Instagram
Seems I'll be using a lot MeshMixer, cuz there are some huge bases that even on 1/6 scale, don't fit on my Saturn S. But how do you join all the pieces, with super glue?
I use a 2 part epoxy. It's a lot stronger than super glue and will hold up better over time
@@TheCreativeCollector Idk why I thought the 2 part epoxy was dangerous. When I saw you used it without gloves I was like 🤯. Thanks!
Oh you're thinking of something else. APOXY is the sculpting stuff I use to fill in the seams. EPOXY is a glue I use to connect the base together. EPOXY isnt something to use with your hands. lol APOXY is ok to handle. Hope that helps.
@@TheCreativeCollector Lol I thought it was the same resin from this video
What is the best glue for 3d prints?
I use a 2 part epoxy. It holds a lot better than super glue
How do u not get the support hole when removing them
Most likely you'll always get some sort of divet hole from a support unless you sit and clip every single support off, which can take forever to do.
is there any particular reason you didd't add keys for your base?
Also, just an FYI, Amazon says the G-Tool is currently unavailable. not sure if its a temporary thing or not.
I hot the early version of the model and it only had the one key in the foot. And yes the gtool is gone. They've discontinued it. I believe they're making a newer one.
Do you do any of your printing with FDM at all?
I do some of my bases in FDM, but I'll be making a some content with FDM in upcoming videos soon.
@@TheCreativeCollector cool...I'm starting with FDM as a beginner...hopefully mo e up to resins. I'm always wondering if you can get some what close to the quality as you get with your resin prints of your figures. So would most definitely be on the look out for those videos if you end up doing some. Great channel!
What's the final cost for a monster like this? Between the print file, resin, paint, etc
Oh man. That's a tough one. The file was $30 I think. I used 9 bottles of resin at $28 each. Not sure about paint yet because I'm not finished
question, why do some of the links have lines thru them?
Im not sure. Maybe I need to update the links? I plan on doing that anyways.
How do you find the right scale from 1/6 to 1/4 ?
It depends if the model is already 1/6 scale ,then 50% increase is 1/4. But you would need to see what the original file is scaled.
@@TheCreativeCollector I usually do the b3dserk.
WHere did you get the Hawkeye model?
It came from Wicked3D. They're making the whole Avengers team from the first movie. I'm printing them all in 1/4 scale
What size is your printer screen?
I have several printers. Up to 15 inches
@@TheCreativeCollector what name of that printer?
Phrozen Sonic Mega 8K
TRY PRUSA SLICER.......
I use it fir FDM prints, but I'll just stick with chitubox for my resin ones.
Do you sell your kits?
No I don't. Sorry
Not even in unfinished U build it form?
No sir.
Thanks your reply I've watched your videos and found them most informing
