as long as its cheaper than a M3/M4, even a downtuned s58, lighter chassis, smaller wheelbase would be an insane competitor price wise and aftermarket.
Spot on with your comment. I think if we don’t see it actually come to fruition, it’s only a matter of time until the aftermarket begins swapping S58 engines into the A90.
People also thought than Porsche Cayman would never get 911 engine, because then Cayman would have a chance to beat 911 with it's lighter weight and mid-engine better weight distribution. But look at GT4 RS and GT4 now.
IF we DO get a GRMN Supra, it’ll 99% be a beefed up version of the b58 with auto only, some weight reduction & more downforce. That’s pretty how all the other grmn’s of the past have been.
I think the car will most likely come equipped with a higher powered variant of the B58. The chances of it getting an S58 are slim, but we can’t say for sure until the car is officially unveiled.

if you want that get an m2
@ I think a factory wide body Supra would look better and have more appeal
Thanks. Even with tuned B58 GRMN could be interesting car. Then it probably won't be like 200 pieces limited edition with pricetag $100K+
I agree. Regardless of what we actually end up getting, I'll be happy to see a more hardcore variant of the Supra.
Hoping it happens, been holding out on buying a Supra in hopes that a special edition that’s more than cosmetics comes out.
Likewise, I think there would be a huge demand for it as well.
What up Omar !
Hey Martin! Thanks for supporting the channel.
If BMW were to give Toyota the clearance to put an S58 in a Supra, it’ll definitely be a limited production on units
Agreed. I think it’s safe to assume that the GRMN will be a limited production model regardless of what engine it’s actually equipped with.

Exactly! And now we have a 4RS with the 4.0L flat six from the 992 GT3.

I think that’s a very accurate take on what we’ll realistically end up getting. We can hope and dream though lol.
But have you seen the GRMN testing videos? It sounds closer to B58 than to S58. Despite this, do you think there's still a hope?

When will Mk5 Supra out of production?
2025 is the last year for the mk5.
If BMW won't help Toyota, I'm sure Mazda would gladly try to.
Maybe BMW won't let them have S58. Or Toyota might have bump the price up to $80k
It would certainly cost a pretty penny. And let’s not forget about outrageous dealer markups too.
@@AutoWisdom yes do with dealers markup you are looking at $100-110k.
BMW should give S58 to Toyota as a gratitude that Toyota helped BMW made a much more reliable engine.
