I spent a small fortune on supplements; not one helped. My debilitating gut disorders all healed when I stopped eating carbohydrates. I am carnivore 6 yrs, and at age 66 take no pharma or supplements.
Carbohydrate foods also have a lot of fiber. Fiber = indigestible polysaccharides = indigestible undefined number of different sugars, with no nutritional value Makes perfect sense that when you stop putting indigestible waste in your gut, the gut issues go away
Also, if you were to stop cooking your food and in that process destroying digestive enzymes and nutrients, your gut would get even better and you would be healthier and stronger. Namely raw egg yolks, raw muscle meats, raw organ meats (the king), raw milk and cheese etc. Is the only real food.
This summer, I took a mix combining anti-inflammatory extracts of Fennel seeds, Licorice, and Chamomile. They reduced my gut sensitivity in two weeks and then I did not have to take it anymore, so real healing effect. Before that I was getting headaches after every meal.
You are correct doctor...I use probiotics with glutamine 2.5 mg per meal. Recently I added 6g of morianga Powder it's a game changer for all types of guts issues.

Would love to consider it but not sure if DGL increases blood pressure like licorice. The other problem is aloe vera. I had no idea it is in the latex family until I had a negative reaction. Grateful I used a minimal dose so I recovered without a trip to the ER.
I've been taking zinc L carnosine, Aloe vera and many other things including L glutamine and I found the best for me was the L glutamine in the mornings, which is usually a 5g scoop and drinking 2tbs of ACV in 2 to 3oz of water with added cayenne pepper between my meal. It did the world of difference for me as I haven't felt this normal for almost over a year and a half. I used to suffer from debilitating cramps and gnawing back pain and upper chest on the right side.
I've had very similar results with taking l-glutamine first thing in the morning. It's been paramount in healing my gut issues. I couple it with Armra Colostrum and these two supplements have changed my life and health for the better in ways I never thought possible. Here's to continued health and healing!
hello Dr. Ruscio, I very much liked the analogy of a castle, soldiers and moat to address tight junction proteins and the gut mucosa layer and barrier.
quick question: I read in the book of Dr. WB. Salt that you do not recommend organic acid testing for gut health or any health diagnosis. could explain why? perhaps in a next video. thank you so much for your relentless efforts in educating the public. kind regards miss Reimara
@DrRuscioDC dear Dr. Ruscio. this is what I read in the book by Dr. Salt. the organic acids test (oat). p. 168 of the book: you are on fire. does this test only pertain to stomach acid?
Love love love that you reworked the supplement. I love the ingredients now and will be a buyer of this product even though I take these individually I’m excited that I could get them all together..
Why did the FDA ban aloe Vera as an ingredient in medicine? How is it safe as a supplement? What is the rationale that it doesn’t hurt your kidneys function? Is it better at the lower doses?
After a year of multiple doctors and even GI dr, I took my first dose of l glutamine and whoa! Why oh why didn’t anyone mention it before. Sheesh!! I was so close to getting your elemental diet. I sure hope I finally found the thing to end my misery…Love your videos Dr Ruscio!!!!
What do you do for someone who can't take glutimate? It put me into a horrible depression. I can't tolerate MSG for instance, or anything with glutimate or glutathione.
I have chronic migraines, MSG is a huge trigger for me but I have used Intestinal Support Complex which contains glutamine and it is a very similar product to the one featured in this video. It did not cause any problems for me and it is soothing to my gut.
I think glutathione is different than glutamate, I do 2,000 mg glutathione IVs once a month and it is very helpful with detoxing toxins and lessening migraine frequency.
Hi Dr Michael, I have a liver disease and on treatment. Is it safe to take L Glutamine? I came across so many websites warning about taking L Glutamine if you have liver disease. I’d appreciate it if you could please let me know. I’ve been suffering from chronic loose bowel 3-4 times every morning and lost weight since I was admitted to hospital for diverticulitis perforation in March this year. My stomach is worse now since I was bombarded with antibiotics. No doctors could heal me.
Hello doc! I am really trying to fix my hair loss (F age 29) - been trying all the natural ways for 3 years. Do you think healing the gut will help my hair loss stop? I just want to stop it from the root.
For me looks like a supplement to improve gastric barrier than mucosal barrier. Could work for both with no problem tho.. DGL improves mucosal secretion in the stomach parietal cells. Carnosine, Aloe Vera and Gluthamine are also known for thei gastric protective functions. You maybe could include there Sea Buckthorn, potent and rare Omega7 that also improves mucosal barrier.
Just found your channel I’m binge watching your episodes. Awesome Stuff 💯👏. I’m located in Los Angeles I’ll work for you just to learn from you on my days off 2days/week. I thank you for sharing your education 💯
The supplement is a combo of lots of anti-inflammatories which will help while taking it. Whether it will heal a leaky gut is not clear. I've taken L-Glutamine as a gut anti-inflammatory and while it suppresses intestinal inflammation while I'm taking it, it didn't heal anything i.e. I have to keep taking it for the effect.
Personally, I despise glutamine, as a supplement, because it made me feel TERRIBLE. I reacted worse to glutamine than to any supplement I've ever taken (and I have tried an enormous range of supplements over several decades).
Disappointed you've put stevia in this, as its bad for the gut. This is from PubMed: Stevia is generally considered safe; however, emerging scientific evidence has implicated the agent in gut microbial imbalance. In general, regulation of microbial behavior is known to depend highly on signaling molecules via quorum sensing (QS). pathways. This is also true for the gut microbial community which can be inhibited by stevia.
Great to see this new product and explanation of the gut lining. FYI -- If cancer is present in body be very careful using glutamine as a supplement. Cancer feeds off glutamine. Reference Dr. Thomas Seyfried and Jane McLelland ( cured herself of stage 4 recurring cancer 3 times , wrote a book about the fuel pathways that cancer uses and how it can switch from one to any other. Glutamine pathway from proteins is one, fats and glucose pathways are the others. ).

But I think you should have added kefir into his video and other probiotic foods. But from my journey from gut, healing, supplements, food, etc. I have to say kefir has changed my life. It is probably the most life-changing of any supplement or food that I've eaten that has helped my gut heal tremendously and also colostrum And glutamine is one of my favorites also, but if I had nothing available and only had one option I think I would go with kefir out of all of them hands down!!!
Thank you for sharing - I’m so glad it helped you! We cover probiotic foods in many other videos, especially kefir, though some (mainly with histamine intolerance) can’t tolerate it. For others it’s a real miracle food

Careful with probiotics since many strains produce histamine. The only brand considering histamine production that I recall is Seeking Health ProBiota HistaminX. There are others. Not sure they helped me. I did skinless chicken breast w/butter, fixed my decades of IBS within a week, was able to introduce steaks recently.
Yes glutamine feeds cancer as a building blocks for cancer along with glucose. Certain cancers require more or less glutamine though and fasting while exercising can semi supress glutamine. Fembemdazole and dons a glutamine inhibitor combined with keto or carnivore diet can eradicate cancer like no ones business. Its currently the best protocol for cancer reversal
@@theancientsancients1769 There is no point in fearing glutamine. Your body will always upregulate glutamine to be a certain level in your blood because your body can create glutamine. So whether you eat it or starve yourself, you will always have glutamine running through your bloodstream at a certain level. My advice to you is to eat super high quality, clean foods without chemicals. SO go for grass fed and finished meats only. And do things like exercise while fasted. That will supress blood glutamine. Try dry fasting as well, and cerules stem enhance ultra. Combine it all. the goal for cancer is to lower inflammation as much as possible. Because the lower your supress inflammation, the less your body will create un needed sugar through gluconeogenesis.
