What happened? I got the most well polished live service game I’ve ever played, logged over 100 battles, and patiently waiting for the new content 💯 this game absolutely rocks
Enjoy it while you can, because several people believe that it won't last long. Personally, I played the beta and I did have fun BUT... It felt like a game that wouldn't hold my attention for a long time. Also I'm not a fan of the pvp-pve team format. Personally I'll be playing Remnant 2 when it releases in 2 days. It's more my style with solo play and up to 3 player co-op (no pvp). Dinosaurs are cool and all but I just wish they had gone a different direction for Exoprimal. Time will tell how long it will last, but I'll be surprised if it lasts 2 years.
My only problem with the game is that the mission you go on seems to depend on who is on your team. If you have a lower level guy on your squad then youre stuck going on missions you completed hours ago, but who the lower level guy is going thru for the first time. This makes the game feel repetitive sometimes. But the gameplay is solid. Apart from this annoyance, you quickly forget since once you enter the mission youre engrossed in the task at hand and it quickly becomes fun again.
Sounds like the author wanted Dino Crisis and got Overwatch and is complaining. The game is actually very good. The biggest mistake that Capcom made was burying the best content after a so many missions. The game is way different after battle 15 compared to battle one and changes even may as you progress. I understand why they felt like they to, because people blast through content, but they also have short attention spans and many will give up prior to reaching the best content.
personally disagree, waiting to see what happens next was part of what kept me playing. but maybe this was ultimately an artificial way of elongating playtime, since after the story was done i pretty much stopped playing. hopefully the scenarios become crazier and crazier, that last mission where that swarm of flying dinos flying around the map was pretty cool.
game feels very well polished and plays well, just has little content beyond the bare bones story. not worth 60 dollars but definitely worth a gamepass sub. they are releasing a new mode later this week or so i believe, and have plans to continue to update with more content. there's no telling where this game will end up as of now. would hardly call this game dead on arrival. it's not as bad as the doubters say. it's just unfortunate that games are releasing these days with such little content, this reliance on live service sucks.

Bought this game yesterday and I’m having a blast. It’s fun, which is more than I can say for most shooters these days, and I genuinely like the pvpve. Fills that casual-competitive spotter hole that’s been empty since cod decided to murder their franchise. Gonna be my main game until xdefiant releases.

I’ve got 51 games in on my account. I only sat down to play a few hours of it, and now I feel the need to experience it now in case it should go. It’s the most stupid game I’ve ever played and I love it for it. It’s a really weird creative statement.
What happened? The game is a blast to play and has a lot of nuance in it's gameplay. It's a great game. 30 hours in and I don't feel burnt out at all. In fact, I'm itching to go play a match right now.

We get it...people assumed Dino Crisis and didn't get it. Let it go. Stop harping on the fact it's not Dino Crisis. Those rumors were not Capcom's fault but the people that saw Dinosaurs and made assumptions. That being said the game is fun but suuuuuuper repetitive. I was hoping for more game modes than just the one they offer. I didn't expect competitive the whole time. I thought there was going to be just some squad based mode objectives or a horde mode type thing as well. I'm having fun with it but don't see myself sticking with it for the long haul. Thankfully it released as part of Game Pass on XBox. I wouldn't have been happy if I paid for this.
if they actually had a way to host a custom game and go into a lobby browser and choose what missions you want to play the game would be ok... the only reason it is repetitive is because it keeps planting you into the same missions over and over just like evil dead does.

@@JuggyBohab I feel like this game was originally supposed to be something else like one of those D3 published games and somehow it ended up as this. I mean even with the story setting supposedly being on an island kinda gives it away. I feel like this game started as a Dino Crisis spinoff with a splash of escape Dead Island as a comedy jab at Dino Crisis. I do feel like somewhere along the lines of development Dino Crisis was involved and something got out of hand so they decided to "christmas throws up" all over the game engine and be as random as they could with it.. Kinda like when people get too happy with the FarCry Map Editor and start spamming goats and chickens over a half finished map.
I hope it doesn't shut down after a year or so as I've been enjoying it on Game Pass since day one. But you're right that it does need excellent post-launch support to keep up the momentum. Let's how it goes. Informative video as always.

What happened? Capcom released to date probably the most polished and fun version of this kind of coop focused game. It's goofy fun, runs really nicely, fun visuals, fun raid boss, fun combats. The story is kind of lame imo and I wish for more content to come but this doesn't justify this strange attempt in some corners of the internet to create an outrage bandwagon for this game, almost like an Anthem 2.0 situation.
Hero shooter where you fight monsters but is super repetitive from a studio you expect better from. Gives me more evolve vibes can't wait till they start charging £10 for new exosuits
I like the game but it is a live service and no the player numbers are extremely low I mean bellow 5k. Capcom should have made a single player game. what a huge loss, the live service greed made Square Enix lose millions and now Capcom will follow. Shame because the game is fun and polished
@@BlackWindswhat microtransactions? You can buy a few skins that's it, the likes of cod have been doing that for over a decade now and still charge full price. If anything the microtransactions in this game are bad from a business standpoint as I've got 5 skins for each character and about 10 boxes I haven't touched. There's no real reason for getting skins and they give you most of them for free anyway

Still think it'd be better if it went f2p instead though. Would get a lot more players to help sustain the game in the long term. Full priced live service games usually don't do well and thus don't generally last long.
When they 'hoped' to get a LOT of players in their game, they hoped to have a 'big' population to sell Cosmetic and 'other' extra content. The more 'users', the bigger the marketplace to sell those extras and therefore more money you can make... However, if you don't 'keep' those users happy or enjoying your game, then those users will not bother buying extra content and you 'gambled' on Game Pass users sticking around long enough to 'spend' money directly on this - especially as they won't feel as 'disappointed' by the game they have invested a lot of money into upfront... Publishers are keen to get 'cosmetics' into their game as they can make a LOT of money for 'very little' effort - so have pressured their Devs to make Games as a Service.
I've been having a bunch of fun with it honestly. I liked that the more you played and got through the story in the background, the mission variety and difficulty starts to open up. I really don't care about the story, and skip most of it, but the team did commit hard to it and because of that the game doesn't feel cheap. All that being said, i am a gamepass player, and despite how much fun I'm having, i probably wouldn't have bought it at full price and don't recommend it at full price either. I'm really hoping with some sales later, with the content they've showed that's coming soon that the game does survive because we need more unique moba styled games imo for consoles.
As someone, who WAS looking forward to this. Once Game Pass got it day one & “free”. As a PSN player, who is expected to pay $80cad. I said “F” this game. It should have gone, free to play & yes, I’d feel the same if PS+ got it & not GP.
The only pb with this masterpiece is the raw pvp it needed more finesse. It feels unfinished and too messy. But overall its aestheticially perfect. Looks like vanquish max anarchy metal gear rising. Super fresh and stylish. Japan's quality is in this game
so I have played this game for roughly about 10-12 hours now and here is my full opinion and tips on exoprimal (you can skip through for the things you don't want to know) The missions: First off i must say that it takes a decently long time to get out of the "tutorial" aka the beginning missions because the game wants you to know all mechanics even if they are basic and fast learning. This is however mostly because of the fact that after you completed all those you will start entering stages with new and more dinosaurs including Neosaurs. Those Neosaurs are basically very buffed versions of the normal dinos however you also got: sniper, bomb and stealth neosaurs. On top of the new dinos/dino bosses (like T-Rex, Stegosaurus and many more) if you progress to the story you will encounter actual bosses that make you and the enemy a combined team to take down and omg those boss fights are actually really good. The teams: another thing i have noticed is that winning in this game is really important as well you may have noticed already but the better your performance was including winning will change the dialogue of the leviathan (the big ai dude before the round) and will make your missions more difficult and will also unlock newer missions. However as far as i know this only starts after you have done the "tutorial". Another thing I want to clear up is that you may seem that you get team mates of lower levels and you think you'd have to do repetitive missions (well regardless you probably will do that because there are only a total of 9 different ones from what i know with variants of how they are played out) but that is not true if you get lower levelled team mates that either means you managed to lose/do poorly in your previous mission or the low levelled team mate did so well that the game says they are on the same game skill level as you are. Therefore if you want to advance through the game and get harder missions you will need to win your games. Another thing is that even if you are a high level you might get maps you have already played before however based on your spawn point in that map you can tell if you will get a high level mission or low level (i call low level mission the ones you get in the "tutorial" and high level mission the ones after that) Archive: this is really important but remember to check your archive because that is the only way to continue through the game and unlock new dinosaurs and boss fights and winning is important because you will unlock things faster in the archive to continue the story with. It is a bit of a grind because after my play time i only unlocked about 80% but do not worry once you reach about the 25-40% mark new dinosaurs and mission will unlock (note that might be wrong but that is from what i remembered). So remember to check that archive SPOILERS AHEAD FOR THE NEW DINOSAURS YOU WILL UNLOCK!!! New dinosaurs: Dilophosaurus, gas neosaurs, stealth neosaur, sniper neosaur, baryonyx, umbral neosaur, evoker neosaur, pyro neosaur, ankylosaurus, neo ankylosaurus, stegosaurus, neo T-rex, T-rex, cryo neosaur and micro raptors. Do know it will take some time before you encounter these and they won't all be unlocked instantly the further you go through the story the more dino's you get. I hope my information was useful and if you have furthermore questions please let me know. Ps: after you completed the game you will unlock a new game mode
*tl;dr: devs made a big risk for hiding content through long progression because first impressions mean everything. Cant really blame either side since it is an interesting concept and so much fun but also you really need to play to see it all. Game shouldn’t be this expensive tho.* Tbh, I get both sides of reviews, one saying it’s repetitive but they haven’t seen it all because they haven’t played long enough, and the other saying it’s amazing the way the progression unlocks new content. There’s soooo many different modes and events that unfold throughout your progression after many games, and not just boring repetitive ones but actual unique encounters. It’s a shame that many may not get to see it simply because they dropped it too soon. On the other hand though, is it really their fault? The developers making the content progression this way is really risky, because first Impressions mean *everything*. How can you blame people for not seeing all of the content hidden away through progression? A lot of people give the game a few hours of their time and then move on if it’s not what they like right away. I personally love this game but I can see why a lot of people just dropped it thinking there was nothing there. It’s a shame, because this game is truly so much fucking fun lmao. I’ve been having an absolute blast. Imo this shouldn’t have been paid either. At least not at the current price.
This game has always given me vibes that it was capcom's version of what happened with Metroid Prime federation Force. A good game, possibly even a great game, but because of all the circumstances around it ergo for Metroid. There hadn't been a Metroid announcement in years and for Capcom that hadn't been a new dino crisis in years. It was eaten alive in neglected by the public because it hinted at things without going towards the thing that the community actually wanted, which is sad because the games themselves are good.
Knew this will be another trash game since the first trailer and beta confirmed it!The sadest part is capcom will later say that dinosaurs dont sell games anymore so consider Dino Crisis dead!
People keep saying this game should have been free, but almost all of the stuff in the game can be unlocked FOR FREE. This is exactly the type of game I have been looking for, and I paid for it on PS5 and I love it. Ridiculous, over the top fun with a ton of unlockable cosmetics and guaranteed FREE updates??? People are tripping. If this was free to play, everything would cost money. And reviewers keep asking why wasn’t the game “this way” or “that way”…LET CAPCOM COOK. They push out more awesome content than any other company these days, and they have literally revolutionized more than one gaming genre. Why not support creativity and a fun game? The sorry state of video game journalism makes me want to start my own channel, because this guy clearly just wants copy and paste games that are all the same.
Do you really think this game will hold people's attention and survive as a live service title for over 2 years? Maybe they will add more interesting modes and content but as it stands I doubt it will last. Different games for different people but after playing the beta (on PS5) I felt it just wasn't going to be a game that would hold my attention even though the dinosaurs were cool.

They have left servers for lower populated games on for so long just for fans. For all this talk about "game modes", you sure all forget the fact that in this game mode there are so so so so so many different missions that change the gameplay so much that it might as well be a game mode in a "game mode". Leviathian literally says in the beginning that he'd be gathering combat data to use against you. And as you play, you get more and more intense matches in the same "game mode". And the fact that the PVP and PVE is so seemless and doesn't become toxic yelling but rather a "darn coulda done better" is insanely great game design. If MHW literally released as the only MH game in the West, the same shit would be said. "aLl YoU dO iS HuNt MoNsTeRs tHaT GeTs BoRiNg" when in fact it's one of the most addicting games out there that slowly doles out the cooler hunts only after you've proven yourself. It's the same thing, the more you play you end up knowing how each exosuits work and end up thinking of creative ways to not only finish the mission but to do it efficiently with your team and not by yourself guns a blazing. And for all this grind talk, this is possibly the least grindiest live service game I've played. I'm level 45 now It still only takes me 1 win or 2 losses to level up. I got to level 25 in one day just playing for a few hours. And since I didn't just try to rush through max level on the release it's been a good grind. As soon as things get stale, the carnage module started appearing, after a few more battles, a new and incredibly fun module is added again, and again, until the end. No doubt, Capcom isn't abandoning this game, because It's Monster Hunter all over again they have a formula and time and time again, the West have never liked this formula until they actually get a good bite and not a nibble

But for myself personally even though I enjoyed trying the beta on PS5 and shooting dinos still, I'm not a big fan of team based pve-pvp games. (The next new game I'm planning on sinking a good amount of time in is Remnant 2 which releases in 2 days. (Solo or up to 3 player co-op)

Exoprimal has a solid and fun gameplay loop, I feel motivated to try each Exo suit instead if just using one and only one. The more you play the more missions, dinosaurs, maps, and bosses you unlock. The potential for more of all these things are so vast as well. The connection is buttery smooth, ive legit never lagged, crashed, or lost connection since I started playing. The game has a hopeful future considering player numbers
Ngl I'm that used to gamepass I didn't even think about the fact it was a paid game to others. It's a dumb bit of fun but I don't think I'd pay anywhere near AAA game prices for it Unfortunately I don't think it's even set up in a way to be monitised as free to play. I've got that many skins I haven't even bothered to open up the crates and have ten or so stacked up

I wish more game modes existed, and gave more open space to fight like EDF, but it gives me MHW vibes, with frequent updates to the flow since not to intensive to run and is live service. Can someone explain to me what triggers the AI to give a team a dinosaur to invade the other team. I thought it was given to the losing team but there was a time when we were losing the winning team got one and there was no way to win after that lol.
This game is some of the most fun I've had with multiplayer gaming for a while. Even if this game doesn't last long I'll always remember it as one of the most fun modern multiplayer games. We need more simple action multiplayer games like this from Japanese developers, this reminds me so much of an arcade shooter from back in the day, it's a brilliant game!
It's Groundhog day with mechs, dinos, and none of the charm or entertainment value One game mode with very little variety only unlocked through a half baked story, playing the same couple biomes over and over again.
i hate not having a role pick, its so hard playing when the whole team goes one character and they don't wanna switch because they don't want too and you suffer, ill play anything but its super annoying sometimes
As someone who doesn’t enjoy most traditional shooter games, this one is real good. As a support/healer main in other games, I comfortably got into that role in this game and I love it so far.
Guys my age(30-35) writing these bs stories is just annoying when my generation grew up with some great ass games . We shouldn’t be happy about remakes and remasters need some need blood to feed our veins with joy .
I just beated it last night and i loved it. Nowadays games are either a masterpiece or plain trash, and this game is right in the middle as just a fun game. Though for it's structure, i can see it dying off really soon if Capcom doesn't give it a proper treatment. If you have Gamepass you should give it a try, you'll either hate it or be having a lot of fun. But if you plan on buying it on PS or Steam, just don't. It's a fun co-op shooter where you turn off your brain and kill dinosaurs, but it's nothing worth a full price.
Exprimal is actually amazing. Sorry you aren't enjoying it as much as I am but it's my game of the year. Don't let the haters bring you down and just enjoy the masterpiece.
You cannot compare Destiny gambit vs Exoprimal. Destiny has so many factors that make it completely different. Broken guns , supers, abilities. Exoprimal feels very balanced in terms of gameplay, skill, and abilities with the suits. I feel this review was a very cut and dry, give the game three hours, not fun? It's bad.
This game should've been a singleplayer story driven RPG or something. The story was actually pretty good and the game definately had potential, but the overwatch clone gameplay and PvP nonsense complete suckerpunched any prospect this game could have had.

i mean whats wrong with a 2 year life cycle? This game is blast. more suites and modes have been announced. Its rare to get a game that you want to play over and over again for more then a year. I think siege is the only game in my catalog that has been able to do that for me and after 5 years for me, im hitting a wall trying to turn that on. the game isnt perfect. Exoprimal has loot boxes but literally the only way to get them is by leveling up your player rank… what other game that has a battle pass and loot boxes does that? After level 60 you get a box every time you rank up its nuts you can unlock everything for free except bp items

What happened to ExoPrimal? Its a finished game with an amazing reward system and no greedy microtransactions and a fun yet samie gameplay run through I'm tired of people shitting on the game and lying about the battle pass (which isn't shoved in your face and you have to find yourself unlike many games) with the earnable credits and a great reward system this game deserves more than the haters are saying it is.
Exoprimal is in the top played games on Xbox right now. It seems like the audience doesn't agree with the reviewers for this game. It's good, it's very good. Longevity is something that could be weird down the line, but currently this is a game I absolutely adore. If you have gamepass you've gotta give it a go. You'll be hooked.
I've been playing it on gamepass. It's boring AF. Either have a real story mode or don't. You're on a team of exo fighters, none of whom do any fighting.

People say it’s repetitive… sure but isn’t that the same as every single multiplayer shooter games ?? OW “2” , COD , Rainbow six , the Division 2 and Destiny 2 they all are repetitive. Some of them have different objectives and modes but the gameplay loop is the same thing over and over Exoprimal is a fun and cool game with a interesting gameplay loop (the game have raid boss of 10 players btw)
Every multiplayer only game suffers the same fate... when the world finally decides to give up this endless chase of multiplayer games, gaming will be better. we need new stories not hours of brainless shooting and CTO missions. maybe make all single player games coop... if you want decent multiplayer fix farcry back to the way it was in its prime. Take Single player worlds and open them to free for all multiplayer like GTA... imagine Horizon Zero Dawn or Mad Max as an MMO.. Imagine Jedi Survivor opened up to mulitplayer free for alls where there is no limit, you just play and dual or help with side missions. Imagine spiderman being coop.... imagine High on life being coop..

I just can't stop playing it, but i wish more xbox players turn off crossplay so i get faster matches. It's only a matter of time before the majority gets sick of pc cheaters. To turn off cross play on the right bottom of your screen select Options > settings > network > cross platform play off.
This game is great when the hero shooter era came, i would enjoy the PVE more if they adding more contents such as game modes, more variation weapon, and more story mode, for me i think Capcom is just trying the live service game on their IP, but if its live service, it should be either Free to play or you can play this game offline too, if not then im not sure this is will ended up like other live service games, i hope its not, because i already enjoyed the beta tester

Having a short attention span has jack shit to do with a game forcing you to play it like crazy before finally bothering to give you the good content.
personally disagree, waiting to see what happens next was part of what kept me playing. but maybe this was ultimately an artificial way of elongating playtime, since after the story was done i pretty much stopped playing. hopefully the scenarios become crazier and crazier, that last mission where that swarm of flying dinos flying around the map was pretty cool.

game feels very well polished and plays well, just has little content beyond the bare bones story. not worth 60 dollars but definitely worth a gamepass sub. they are releasing a new mode later this week or so i believe, and have plans to continue to update with more content. there's no telling where this game will end up as of now. would hardly call this game dead on arrival. it's not as bad as the doubters say. it's just unfortunate that games are releasing these days with such little content, this reliance on live service sucks.

Bought this game yesterday and I’m having a blast. It’s fun, which is more than I can say for most shooters these days, and I genuinely like the pvpve. Fills that casual-competitive spotter hole that’s been empty since cod decided to murder their franchise. Gonna be my main game until xdefiant releases.

We get it...people assumed Dino Crisis and didn't get it. Let it go. Stop harping on the fact it's not Dino Crisis. Those rumors were not Capcom's fault but the people that saw Dinosaurs and made assumptions.
That being said the game is fun but suuuuuuper repetitive. I was hoping for more game modes than just the one they offer. I didn't expect competitive the whole time. I thought there was going to be just some squad based mode objectives or a horde mode type thing as well. I'm having fun with it but don't see myself sticking with it for the long haul. Thankfully it released as part of Game Pass on XBox. I wouldn't have been happy if I paid for this.
if they actually had a way to host a custom game and go into a lobby browser and choose what missions you want to play the game would be ok... the only reason it is repetitive is because it keeps planting you into the same missions over and over just like evil dead does.

I mean even with the story setting supposedly being on an island kinda gives it away. I feel like this game started as a Dino Crisis spinoff with a splash of escape Dead Island as a comedy jab at Dino Crisis. I do feel like somewhere along the lines of development Dino Crisis was involved and something got out of hand so they decided to "christmas throws up" all over the game engine and be as random as they could with it.. Kinda like when people get too happy with the FarCry Map Editor and start spamming goats and chickens over a half finished map.

What happened? Capcom released to date probably the most polished and fun version of this kind of coop focused game. It's goofy fun, runs really nicely, fun visuals, fun raid boss, fun combats. The story is kind of lame imo and I wish for more content to come but this doesn't justify this strange attempt in some corners of the internet to create an outrage bandwagon for this game, almost like an Anthem 2.0 situation.
My friend and I are having fun playing this. My only big issue is I wish PvE was 100% PvE. Or if not please give us a VS AI mode.

If anything the microtransactions in this game are bad from a business standpoint as I've got 5 skins for each character and about 10 boxes I haven't touched. There's no real reason for getting skins and they give you most of them for free anyway

When they 'hoped' to get a LOT of players in their game, they hoped to have a 'big' population to sell Cosmetic and 'other' extra content. The more 'users', the bigger the marketplace to sell those extras and therefore more money you can make...
However, if you don't 'keep' those users happy or enjoying your game, then those users will not bother buying extra content and you 'gambled' on Game Pass users sticking around long enough to 'spend' money directly on this - especially as they won't feel as 'disappointed' by the game they have invested a lot of money into upfront...
Publishers are keen to get 'cosmetics' into their game as they can make a LOT of money for 'very little' effort - so have pressured their Devs to make Games as a Service.

I've been having a bunch of fun with it honestly. I liked that the more you played and got through the story in the background, the mission variety and difficulty starts to open up. I really don't care about the story, and skip most of it, but the team did commit hard to it and because of that the game doesn't feel cheap. All that being said, i am a gamepass player, and despite how much fun I'm having, i probably wouldn't have bought it at full price and don't recommend it at full price either. I'm really hoping with some sales later, with the content they've showed that's coming soon that the game does survive because we need more unique moba styled games imo for consoles.
As someone, who WAS looking forward to this. Once Game Pass got it day one & “free”. As a PSN player, who is expected to pay $80cad. I said “F” this game. It should have gone, free to play & yes, I’d feel the same if PS+ got it & not GP.

The only pb with this masterpiece is the raw pvp it needed more finesse. It feels unfinished and too messy. But overall its aestheticially perfect. Looks like vanquish max anarchy metal gear rising. Super fresh and stylish. Japan's quality is in this game
so I have played this game for roughly about 10-12 hours now and here is my full opinion and tips on exoprimal (you can skip through for the things you don't want to know)
The missions: First off i must say that it takes a decently long time to get out of the "tutorial" aka the beginning missions because the game wants you to know all mechanics even if they are basic and fast learning. This is however mostly because of the fact that after you completed all those you will start entering stages with new and more dinosaurs including Neosaurs. Those Neosaurs are basically very buffed versions of the normal dinos however you also got: sniper, bomb and stealth neosaurs. On top of the new dinos/dino bosses (like T-Rex, Stegosaurus and many more) if you progress to the story you will encounter actual bosses that make you and the enemy a combined team to take down and omg those boss fights are actually really good.
The teams: another thing i have noticed is that winning in this game is really important as well you may have noticed already but the better your performance was including winning will change the dialogue of the leviathan (the big ai dude before the round) and will make your missions more difficult and will also unlock newer missions. However as far as i know this only starts after you have done the "tutorial". Another thing I want to clear up is that you may seem that you get team mates of lower levels and you think you'd have to do repetitive missions (well regardless you probably will do that because there are only a total of 9 different ones from what i know with variants of how they are played out) but that is not true if you get lower levelled team mates that either means you managed to lose/do poorly in your previous mission or the low levelled team mate did so well that the game says they are on the same game skill level as you are. Therefore if you want to advance through the game and get harder missions you will need to win your games. Another thing is that even if you are a high level you might get maps you have already played before however based on your spawn point in that map you can tell if you will get a high level mission or low level (i call low level mission the ones you get in the "tutorial" and high level mission the ones after that)
Archive: this is really important but remember to check your archive because that is the only way to continue through the game and unlock new dinosaurs and boss fights and winning is important because you will unlock things faster in the archive to continue the story with. It is a bit of a grind because after my play time i only unlocked about 80% but do not worry once you reach about the 25-40% mark new dinosaurs and mission will unlock (note that might be wrong but that is from what i remembered). So remember to check that archive
SPOILERS AHEAD FOR THE NEW DINOSAURS YOU WILL UNLOCK!!!
New dinosaurs: Dilophosaurus, gas neosaurs, stealth neosaur, sniper neosaur, baryonyx, umbral neosaur, evoker neosaur, pyro neosaur, ankylosaurus, neo ankylosaurus, stegosaurus, neo T-rex, T-rex, cryo neosaur and micro raptors. Do know it will take some time before you encounter these and they won't all be unlocked instantly the further you go through the story the more dino's you get.

*tl;dr: devs made a big risk for hiding content through long progression because first impressions mean everything. Cant really blame either side since it is an interesting concept and so much fun but also you really need to play to see it all. Game shouldn’t be this expensive tho.*
Tbh, I get both sides of reviews, one saying it’s repetitive but they haven’t seen it all because they haven’t played long enough, and the other saying it’s amazing the way the progression unlocks new content. There’s soooo many different modes and events that unfold throughout your progression after many games, and not just boring repetitive ones but actual unique encounters. It’s a shame that many may not get to see it simply because they dropped it too soon.
On the other hand though, is it really their fault? The developers making the content progression this way is really risky, because first Impressions mean *everything*. How can you blame people for not seeing all of the content hidden away through progression? A lot of people give the game a few hours of their time and then move on if it’s not what they like right away.
I personally love this game but I can see why a lot of people just dropped it thinking there was nothing there. It’s a shame, because this game is truly so much fucking fun lmao. I’ve been having an absolute blast. Imo this shouldn’t have been paid either. At least not at the current price.
This game has always given me vibes that it was capcom's version of what happened with Metroid Prime federation Force. A good game, possibly even a great game, but because of all the circumstances around it ergo for Metroid. There hadn't been a Metroid announcement in years and for Capcom that hadn't been a new dino crisis in years. It was eaten alive in neglected by the public because it hinted at things without going towards the thing that the community actually wanted, which is sad because the games themselves are good.

This is exactly the type of game I have been looking for, and I paid for it on PS5 and I love it. Ridiculous, over the top fun with a ton of unlockable cosmetics and guaranteed FREE updates??? People are tripping. If this was free to play, everything would cost money.
And reviewers keep asking why wasn’t the game “this way” or “that way”…LET CAPCOM COOK. They push out more awesome content than any other company these days, and they have literally revolutionized more than one gaming genre. Why not support creativity and a fun game?

Do you really think this game will hold people's attention and survive as a live service title for over 2 years? Maybe they will add more interesting modes and content but as it stands I doubt it will last. @@markadams5009 Yea it has every potential and possibility to continue going for over 2 years and it will considering it's Capcom. They have left servers for lower populated games on for so long just for fans. For all this talk about "game modes", you sure all forget the fact that in this game mode there are so so so so so many different missions that change the gameplay so much that it might as well be a game mode in a "game mode". Leviathian literally says in the beginning that he'd be gathering combat data to use against you. And as you play, you get more and more intense matches in the same "game mode". And the fact that the PVP and PVE is so seemless and doesn't become toxic yelling but rather a "darn coulda done better" is insanely great game design.
If MHW literally released as the only MH game in the West, the same shit would be said. "aLl YoU dO iS HuNt MoNsTeRs tHaT GeTs BoRiNg" when in fact it's one of the most addicting games out there that slowly doles out the cooler hunts only after you've proven yourself. It's the same thing, the more you play you end up knowing how each exosuits work and end up thinking of creative ways to not only finish the mission but to do it efficiently with your team and not by yourself guns a blazing.
And for all this grind talk, this is possibly the least grindiest live service game I've played. I'm level 45 now It still only takes me 1 win or 2 losses to level up. I got to level 25 in one day just playing for a few hours. And since I didn't just try to rush through max level on the release it's been a good grind. As soon as things get stale, the carnage module started appearing, after a few more battles, a new and incredibly fun module is added again, and again, until the end. No doubt, Capcom isn't abandoning this game, because It's Monster Hunter all over again they have a formula and time and time again, the West have never liked this formula until they actually get a good bite and not a nibble

But for myself personally even though I enjoyed trying the beta on PS5 and shooting dinos still, I'm not a big fan of team based pve-pvp games. (The next new game I'm planning on sinking a good amount of time in is Remnant 2 which releases in 2 days. (Solo or up to 3 player co-op)

Exoprimal has a solid and fun gameplay loop, I feel motivated to try each Exo suit instead if just using one and only one. The more you play the more missions, dinosaurs, maps, and bosses you unlock. The potential for more of all these things are so vast as well. The connection is buttery smooth, ive legit never lagged, crashed, or lost connection since I started playing. The game has a hopeful future considering player numbers

Can someone explain to me what triggers the AI to give a team a dinosaur to invade the other team. I thought it was given to the losing team but there was a time when we were losing the winning team got one and there was no way to win after that lol.
Both team will get the big dinosaur eventually. The losing team will get it a little bit earlier.

This game has surprised me. Its definitely a lot of fun with some familiar gameplay but keeps it fresh at the same time.
This game is some of the most fun I've had with multiplayer gaming for a while. Even if this game doesn't last long I'll always remember it as one of the most fun modern multiplayer games. I just beated it last night and i loved it. Nowadays games are either a masterpiece or plain trash, and this game is right in the middle as just a fun game. Though for it's structure, i can see it dying off really soon if Capcom doesn't give it a proper treatment.
If you have Gamepass you should give it a try, you'll either hate it or be having a lot of fun. But if you plan on buying it on PS or Steam, just don't. It's a fun co-op shooter where you turn off your brain and kill dinosaurs, but it's nothing worth a full price.
Exprimal is actually amazing. Sorry you aren't enjoying it as much as I am but it's my game of the year. Don't let the haters bring you down and just enjoy the masterpiece.

You cannot compare Destiny gambit vs Exoprimal. Destiny has so many factors that make it completely different. Broken guns , supers, abilities. Exoprimal feels very balanced in terms of gameplay, skill, and abilities with the suits. I feel this review was a very cut and dry, give the game three hours, not fun? It's bad.
I don't remember literally anyone thinking this was dino crisis. The games really fun. It's problem is a lack of content and too much monetization.
On PC at least, the game is pretty much well on its way to being dead already, peaking at just 4.2k or so and already having lost over half of those.

This game should've been a singleplayer story driven RPG or something. The story was actually pretty good and the game definately had potential, but the overwatch clone gameplay and PvP nonsense complete suckerpunched any prospect this game could have had.

Exoprimal has loot boxes but literally the only way to get them is by leveling up your player rank… what other game that has a battle pass and loot boxes does that? After level 60 you get a box every time you rank up its nuts you can unlock everything for free except bp items

This game is super fun. Crazy how all these dino crisis cry babies are review bombing this game. Ignore the haters and just try it. It’s actually a lot of fun. The reviews don’t do it justice mostly cuz of whiners like this guy.

I'm tired of people shitting on the game and lying about the battle pass (which isn't shoved in your face and you have to find yourself unlike many games) with the earnable credits and a great reward system this game deserves more than the haters are saying it is.
Exoprimal is in the top played games on Xbox right now. It seems like the audience doesn't agree with the reviewers for this game. It's good, it's very good. Longevity is something that could be weird down the line, but currently this is a game I absolutely adore. If you have gamepass you've gotta give it a go. You'll be hooked.

Either have a real story mode or don't. You're on a team of exo fighters, none of whom do any fighting.
And fh4 is still in the recent most played games. It's a new game with some hype of course everyone with game pass is gonna download it and give it a shot, I have about 50 friends who've played it and I'm the only one with more than 3 hours played

OW “2” , COD , Rainbow six , the Division 2 and Destiny 2 they all are repetitive. Some of them have different objectives and modes but the gameplay loop is the same thing over and over

Every multiplayer only game suffers the same fate... when the world finally decides to give up this endless chase of multiplayer games, gaming will be better. we need new stories not hours of brainless shooting and CTO missions. maybe make all single player games coop... if you want decent multiplayer fix farcry back to the way it was in its prime. Take Single player worlds and open them to free for all multiplayer like GTA... imagine Horizon Zero Dawn or Mad Max as an MMO.. Imagine Jedi Survivor opened up to mulitplayer free for alls where there is no limit, you just play and dual or help with side missions. Imagine spiderman being coop.... imagine High on life being coop..

I just can't stop playing it, but i wish more xbox players turn off crossplay so i get faster matches.
It's only a matter of time before the majority gets sick of pc cheaters.
To turn off cross play on the right bottom of your screen select
Options > settings > network > cross platform play off.

This game is great when the hero shooter era came, i would enjoy the PVE more if they adding more contents such as game modes, more variation weapon, and more story mode, for me i think Capcom is just trying the live service game on their IP, but if its live service, it should be either Free to play or you can play this game offline too, if not then im not sure this is will ended up like other live service games, i hope its not, because i already enjoyed the beta tester

I've played for 25 hours now. I won three matches. All of this while having 1st or 2nd highest score. That's a tell tale sign of poor design.

Its a niche game, if they add more variety to content it may be worth the full price for other players. Till then the player numbers will be low.

Pricing seems ridiculous for me, they look like much better as free to play. Overall, just an ok game
