I love this style. It makes me happy looking at it and I can only imagine how happy the homeowner feels. I think that I am also going to hire this lady to make my next home sing.
What a great space. Those dining chairs are terrific! I always enjoy seeing this designer’s work. I love when she said, “We have a showroom. Now I want to make it your home.” Side note-I really, REALLY appreciate that she speaks so clearly without forced vocal fry and without rising intonation at the end of every sentence.

Absolutely love this place! The wallpapers are just beautiful, particularly the that green dining room! It’s all so fresh, light, airy, and comfortable.
First time to post on "House and Home" as I love everything! I have been watching these videos for years. In this video, the two different floral drapery in the rooms didn't flow in my opinion. Love the green in the dinning and thought it would be great on the living room window too.
We were able to use two different floral draperies as the living room drapery is set back in it's sight line. The patterns are the same...just the colours are different which is kind of fun!!
Gorgeous 🤩also one of the best videos that l have seen in a long time . Loved the Philip Jeffries grasscloth wallpaper and the art . You can never go wrong with Schumacher! The designer gave a lovely peaceful description of each room and her vision behind it . Bravo 👏🏻

Thank you Kathleen! Everyone's home needs to fulfill different aspects for the families that live in them. I find it helpful to understand the approach we took and why.
Minimalist here but I really like it! Sure, there are things that I want to reduce if I were living there, but the place isn't overwhelming to the senses. Good one!
Aren't them amazing?!! I fell in love with them but of course I wanted to custom finish them so we bought them unfinished and did a custom stain and upholstery on them. The shape is amazing isn't it?!
After seeing her home tour, I knew this was going to be good. I'm a maximalist myself and just appreciate how warm and inviting your home can be without being cluttered. And thank you for color... If I see one more all white home with plants and warm woods as color, I'm going to scream. I'm not against it but I also like to see variation so we can see different concepts across the board.
Don't forget the occasional black accessory 😂 I could've written your comment word for word, the all white or grey / extremely pale blue interiors with pale wood furniture and white upholstery are so ... ugh 😂 I've been looking at spaces for months now asking myself what happened to colour? How is it possible that the entire world can like this colourless blandness so much? I felt like a crazy person 😅
@@NanookiePookie oh yes, we exist! I don't know how we ended up in a world where even decor styles you would expect to be loaded with colour and texture - like farmhouse for example, or any Spanish decor style like Hacienda - are all so white or grey!! Once I learned from another video that maximalist decor isn't about cramming 10,000 things into a room and started using it as a search term, I've found so many cosy, colourful appealing spaces! With real warmth too, not just beige or taupe walls 😅 The fun part is, unlike minimalism where all the houses look the same, maximalist spaces look very different from one another and full of personality. They are an absolute treat to look through. 💖

This is a showroom like a arty-fatty boutique! Bold & daring is key here. If there’s anything I would change, hmmm, the color of the carpet(not that it’s a mismatch, but my personal taste) & the curtains. Beautiful prints minus the dragon image (again, my personal preference).

It works and is gorgeous… in fact Caspari even has a cocktail napkin with the same colors in the print . It really opened up my eyes to mixing up colors. Good luck 🍀
I would have kept the dining room in lighter bluish-grayish-yellowish colors on the walls (that would go with the carpet & the white-blue vases on the table). The lighter walls would be the base for adding the colorful art & flowers. Also I would change the curtains once the green on the walls is taken out (they are beautiful, but would no longer work). In the living room I was not a fan of the carpet. All the rest of the details & style are indeed beautiful.

This designer is a maximalist but maybe her clients are not. A good designer doesn’t impose her/his preferences on the client. The client should guide the design. Plus this designer’s maximalism is executed mostly by the use of color.
Every client has a different aesthetic we have found over the decades of designing interiors. My house has much more in it but that also takes time to collect and style.
Really liked the dining room but wanted to move the ginger jars to the side board and put the flowers on the table. Also I didn't dislike the living room but it didn't speak to the dining area as they say
Nice, but needs some tweaking. The dining room looks unfinished. Some more art would help. How about a mirrored screen behind the bar cart. Lamps instead of the too-big hydrangeas on the credenza. Switch the painting to the left of the window for the blue agates. Picture lights would help distribute the lighting around the room a bit better. Thanks.
