The CRAFT acronym helps heaps when writing down the clearance. For example: Clearance limit: YMML Route: 16R DEENA7 WOL Altitude: 5000 Frequency: 124.4 Transponder: 1234
i learned nothing new but I like your energy :D I once thought i was using the notes tab in my vpilot but was actually in the message tab and wrote down my taxi instructions and accentally sent them via chat. Controller was apparently monitoring text closely as well and was like "readback correct" thinking I maybe did that on purpose or had encountered a mic issue or something :D
Great tips! The last note you made was my favorite. Other good tips. In xPilot you can right click on a controller and then select to tune them to COM1 or COM2. Both xPilot and vPilot have dot commands, you listed the one for METARs. You can also set your transponder or change your COM frequency as well with a dot command (as well as other things). Great video once again!
I gotta say the one about taking notes is more immersive for me to use pen and paper. Pilots do that irl too. They typically don't open a client to take notes. I like these tips but I feel this one takes away from my experience.
if you have an ipad and an apple pencil on fore flight you can use the scratch pad that has an atis that is sectioned off for everything and its easy to remember everything
well this is where the fslabs and p3d takes the biggest W, we have everything one need in the iPad and in the aoc menu and once combined with active sky the Atis is not needed as you just tune 122,000 or 122,025, 122,050
First time using Vatsim here. When I connect to Vpilot, a jet engine sound starts in the sim, but yet there are no planes around me. So tried it on an empty airport and indeed the jet engine sound is always there as soon as I connect to Vpilot. Is this normal? How do I turn it off?

love yssy departures
I heard somewhere that the LAX tower dude is a legend...
Confirmed
This channel is so underrated. Keep up the great work
Thank you so much!

I miss the xPilot feature to right click on a controller during busy events
New to Vatsim this video saved me hours of research!
Glad it was helpful!

Yes, I agree, I use an ipad with an apple pencil.
Great job as always! I completely forgot about the DATIS. Keep up the good work!
The tip to use chartfox is probably the best. The money is need for navigraph is much better used on planes like the pmdg 737
Keep up the videos, the content is great and really helpful to send to new pilots!
Glad you like them!
In you and Ben we trust. Thanks for all that you do, Arch!
Thank you for this. Lot's of great tips. I had no idea about the notepad.
Glad it was helpful!
It's funny to listen to VATSIM people say "artac" or "artic". Literally no one in RL ATC land says that.

1. SimBrief
2. VHF 2
I cant turn off observer mode
VSR (vatsim radio) is a must have
Never heard of it!
Is there a source for international charts? Like heathrow or schipol or Frankfurt ?
Chart fox or navigraph

I already was using all of these other than the useless atis ones. Like why would you not get the frequency if you are going for realism
Because in real life they can print the current ATIS too ;)
@@SK0941 I just prefer to listen to it
