I certainly bought this color - I got the bundle that had all forms of it! I think it's gorgeous and mine is supposed to be delivered tomorrow. TFS all of this series; I liked it and have recommended on "the TH-cam."
Thanks for this. Scorched timber is a nice colour but I’m disappointed that Ranger felt yet another brown was needed. It’s so easy to blend colours to make brown using many of the colours already in the range. What a shame they didn’t make another yellow, which seems to me to be very short on choice in this range. You can’t blend yourself a primary colour and this would have been the opportunity to add a final choice to the range.
A proper lighter purple would have been useful too, as shaded lilac is very blue. Somewhere between milled lavender and shaded lilac but red toned. So we need 2 more now, your yellow and my purple. 😂
Thank you Lou for sharing these videos.... I am now also combining the colors more and using my ink pads even more optimally. Also, based on your videos, I have a separate brush for each Distress Oxide.... These are all labeled....thanks for the free downloads. I enjoy watching your videos and learn something new every time.
Fabulous combos for this new color! I’m still waiting for mine to arrive, then the fun will start! A always, really appreciate your eye for color and comfort with the oxides, it has built my confidence in using them ! 🧑🏼🎨😀💗
I’ve already purchased it as I wanted the bundle! Looking forward to using it. But I will say that I wanted my collection to be complete so that plays into one reason for purchasing. 😊
Thank you for the quick review of the new color. Honestly, because of this series, I pre-ordered the color, it arrived yesterday and I’m so glad I did. It is so helpful when you mention the color combinations potential uses. As a new card maker and I newer to these products, visualizing spring flower or fire is helpful. It really is a beautiful brown that changes with many combinations. It’s a cool versatile- similarity to the warm vintage photo. This was an amazing series and I have rewatched them many times. ❤
Just arrived yesterday in box ink and oxide. I get them all but know this won’t be used often and probably could have done without. I do like the cool blend better than the warm but both are combos I doubt I would have come to myself.
Thanks Lou for sharing this last distressed ink color with us. I too see the green tone in this color. Really like it blended with the peeled paint and saltwater taffy. Would not have thought of using the taffy color but it really works well. You have an awesome talent for colors. Love the 2nd combo as well. Will be wonderful for autumn. 😊❤
Thanks you so much for all your efforts in doing this wonderful series! I have just discovered the playlist...... I know, where have I been? I don't suppose you have done one of your wonderful charts with the combinations done for me to fill in. Yes..... I know..... don't be lazy, Lorna! If you haven't thought of doing it for us, I will make the effort to do it for myself...... but......????
Yes, I will be buying Scorched Timber. Mainly because I need to expand in my neutrals. Even my husband made the comment that I don’t have enough browns. 😂 Pink and brown is actually one of my favorite color combinations, so of course I really loved that first blend. But I loved both of these swatch blends. Brilliant as usual!! ❤🇺🇸 🇬🇧
Still waiting for my scorched timber to arrive, but im liking the look of it. Think it would be great for masculine or steampunk makes. Really liked the blends you did, they showcase the new colour really well and show some of its versatility. Thank you Lou x
Thank you for this series of D.O, I’ve ordered the color just wanting for it to come in. I don’t have a lot of colors but have all the colors on your second swatch. Love all your videos.
I probably won't be buying this color as I think I can substitute other dark browns for the few times I need them. I love your color combinations as usual, though
It’s such a versatile brown that can change vastly depending what it’s paired with. I pre ordered before knowing what it was gonna be, and I hadn’t even heard it said to be a brown; so I was a bit disappointed at first but watching the Release Live and then getting it all in hand I can already see just how useful it’s going to be, even already owning all the other browns. I know it’s not for everyone but maybe don’t write it off just yet ! Happy Crafting !
I think there are enough browns already that could quite easily substitue scorched timber and you can easily blend colours to make browns. I would have prefered a Burgundy there is no burgundy only old mahogany which could come close, even a yellow or purple that can be blended better. I'm also a bit dissappointed that you didn't do a brown ombre effect so we could see the dark to light brown effects properly. I get the green but would have prefered the ombre in only the browns. 😊
Not really a fan of another brown. I know Tim likes browns and hates yellow but I would like something bright and cheery. Maybe like a butter color. He’s more of a grunge and distress guy. I will be buying it only to complete my collection. Thought I was done a month ago when I finally got them all after 5 years but no- now there’s one more!
I am not a fan of the Scorched Timber as there are already some beautiful browns in the line. Your combo with the yellow, orange and red is stunning however, and reminds me of a campfire. In Canada, that combo would make a lovely fall evening sky-line or die-cut leaves. Thanks for sharing options with this last and final colour.
Loved your two blends with this new colour Lou 😍
As always you show us how versatile thesecilors are.
Doesn't it blend beautifully with a range of other colours. Thanks so much for this series Lou x
Thanks Lou. However many colours we may have (or not) in our stash your videos are so good. Lovely to watch your great eye for colour.
I love all colors. Scorched Timber is very cool.
You’ve done an amazing job going thru all these distress color combos! Thank you!

I’ve already purchased it as I wanted the bundle! Looking forward to using it. But I will say that I wanted my collection to be complete so that plays into one reason for purchasing. 😊
Great color combos Lou, love the Scorched Timber!
Thanks Lou, I'm much more confident with blending since watching your videos.

This is a long way down my wish list but that second combination looks like fire. Love it
Thank you so much for your series. Incredibly helpful
I don't have many oxides, and the dozen or so I have, I've never really used them - but I love your videos - thanks a million xx
Thanks Lou for sharing this last distressed ink color with us. I too see the green tone in this color. Really like it blended with the peeled paint and saltwater taffy. Love the second combination, sunset colours. Thanks Lou.
Not sure if I'll purchase this color, but I do love your demos. Always great ideas for color combos!
Love these combinations Lou and you've helped me decide I SHOULD buy scorched timber!

Great video, I really learned a lot. Thank you ❤
Love this colour. Love the blends as well!! Thanks Lou.
I love the second combination, yes I will be buying the new colour.

Thank Lou the color reminds me of smokey eye shadow in the 80s. Lol
Wonderful swatches Lou, thankyou
Thank you for this series of D.O, I’ve ordered the color just wanting for it to come in. I don’t have a lot of colors but have all the colors on your second swatch. Love all your videos.
Pre purchased 😜. It just arrived yesterday
Already purchased. Love both of these combos! Thanks for sharing!
It works better with the cool but acceptable with the warmer colours. It has its place. Yes. I’ll be buying it in the oxides.
...interested in the blending of the oxides...i'll go search for your other vids... Thank you.
I probably won't be buying this color as I think I can substitute other dark browns for the few times I need them. I love your color combinations as usual, though

I was wondering when this would be coming :-)
8:04 Barn door is a red, not a yellow....you said bright bright yellow and fire engine yellow ☺ Thanks for the combos, they're really useful.
Where are you going to put scorched timber on color sheet?
I think there are enough browns already that could quite easily substitue scorched timber and you can easily blend colours to make browns. Trying my best not to buy only cause I’ve got 66 oxides and only 66 will fit in my ink pad stand

Nice video. I’m not a big fan of the brown colors
