**NOTES & CORRECTIONS** > So KitKat and Jesse pointed out that there's actually TWO imaginary tree theories - one explains the current universe, and another explains the multiverse (to put it simply). There's not a WHOLE lot of lore to work with to make a great comparison between the two BUT! There are three really interesting things that may be true if we recognize both the Multiverse Tree and the Universe Tree as connected but separate entities: >> First - the boundaries of the universe HAVE been reached by the Xianzhou and the IPC (and maybe others), and I'm wondering if Qlipoth's "wall" is actually them rebuilding the barrier between universe-trees to keep the Leviathans out. To push the tree metaphor, this would make Qlipoth like the tree's immune system that's trying to keep out or prevent the spread of the Leviathans - who would be like, fungi or insects or some other harmful thing. This also makes the fact that he squashed and sealed Tayzzyronth (who was a literal insect) really, REALLY funny. >> Second - the imaginary tree may branch out infintely. I wonder if it's worth thinking of the Multiverse tree like Aspens. Aspen groves are TECHNICALLY one giant tree with countless shoots that look like individual trees. Alternatively, if we use the universal mind analogy instead, we have stellarons as stella-neurons, and the supercluster they are a part of would be a cosmic brain made up of more brains (sentient lifeforms) ala James Jeans. But then that supercluster could be a part of a larger supercluster-brain which could be part of a larger supercluster-brain.... and this could continue infinitely. And that's too big for me to want to think about LMAO >> Third - Cancer of All Worlds might just be cosmic brain cancer.
@Ashikai question why the sea of quanta exist and memoria from the memory zone you could say part of the the astral plane and nous once a astral super computer so their different layers of the astral pane but maybe the typical appearance of the astral plane Is the layer of it a material world being can enter and you can say in arcane show the arcane dimension is on a less concrete layer of astral plane like the memory zone?
The natural logarithmic function is multivalued and thus there exists an infinite number of solutions to the function ln(x). If x=1, ln(1)=0,2ipi, 4ipi, 6ipi, 8ipi, -2ipi, -4ipi, -6ipi,… This is because through the complex number system, the natural logarithmic produces the inverse of rotation as e^ix produces a proportional rotation among the unit circle . The most indicative model of the imaginary tree is a circle. In fact, I highly recommend sponsoring circle k during the video covering lore about Ouroboros especially since a place such as circle k most likely exists within the hoyoverse.
Also, Concepts like inner circle mentioned within the theme of the circle k is frequently mentioned regarding Polka Kakamond and how she prevents certain knowledge singularities from existing.
Calling anything related to destruction Cancer is an immediately interesting thing because Cancer is growth. A creation that ends up destroying, but creation nonetheless.
I was having the same thoughts as you regarding the cancer link. Taking it a step further actually makes more sense. At least to me so I'm going to write it down Because cancer isn't just growth. It's a cell that lacks the signal to stop growing,to stop dividing and spreading. A cell following the instructions given, but the instructions are wrong. The Stellaron is that faulty cell. A piece of the tree that is still trying to do what it's meant to, but it's "instructions" on how to do so are damaged in some way. So it can only create its broken copies, constantly spreading and dividing like it's supposed to, but like you said, its creation ends up destructive.
An interesting thing about Destruction as creation, or, more generally, as Change is that it is aligned with Trailblaze/Origin against Preservation and Finality. It also makes Destruction a narrower concept vulnerable to be subsumed by Trailblaze/Origin.
A cancer is a metaphor for anything malignant that spreads in a destructive manner, like a contagious illness or blight. Even in the first Matrix movie, Agent Smith likened humanity itself to a cancer, growing and spreading at the expense of the environment around it.
That's such a strange phrasing though, could say that about anything. Stab someone and a horrible, life-threatening wound will "grow" that does no good in the slightest lmao
It's worth to mention that Stellaron (or possibly a reference to it) was also mentioned in HI3 quite a long time ago. During chapter 37 (Salt and Snow City arc), Misteln and PROMETHEUS was travelling between bubble universes in order to capture "Abnormal Stigma" as they deal with the aftermath of Project Stigma initiated by Kevin. Misteln mentioned that in the 6th bubble universe, she had to euthanize an abnormal stigma with uncontrollable growth and referred to it as "the cancer of the universe" Chapter 37 was released on May 2023 while HSR was released on April 2023
The most recent chapter also revealed that (spoiler) . . . . . . . . . . . . . Litost is from off-world, and while Serapeum refers to it as something along the lines of "the star you fell off of", the furigana-inspired superscript that Hoyo games sometimes use calls it a "stellaron". Now, this could very well be a mistranslation, and I'm ready to accept that if that turns out to be true, but I don't think it's very productive to *assume* it's a mistranslation from the get go. Apparently in the Japanese and Chinese versions, it's censored with those black boxes they sometimes use, so it's gotta be something important.
@joeytabora1052 Seems like that one has been patched in EN to also show blank boxes. Looks kinda wrong to me because Stellaron wasn't supposed to be a "place"
The idea that the trailblazer can change, or at least choose what the universe's future and past is makes sense for why finality, or destruction doesn't mean the end, but like the final moments of something before undergoing a transformation/transmutation. Finality being defined as 'the fact or impression of being an irreversible ending' but not the end itself sounds more like one point in considering how to define or determine the universe, the history, future, and present, like each aeons path being the Primus mobile of their philosophies
It's an established theme in Honkai 3rd that Finality and Origin are one and the same, when something ends, a new beginning starts. To dive deeper, Finality and Origin is not just a 2 sided coin, there's actually something in between the 2 faces, Truth. In Honkai 3rd, Raiden Mei is the equal and opposite counterpart to Kiana Kaslana, the most important character of Hoyoverse. Kiana represents Finality and Mei represents Origin. Bronya is the 3rd most important, representing Truth, together they are the Hoyoverse's most important Trio. Kiana who represents Hope became the Herrscher of Finality, a point in the Future. Raiden who represents Destiny becomes the Herrscher of Origin, a point in the Past. And between them is Bronya as the Eternal search for Truth in the Present. Finality is not a "bad thing", in order to solve a "disaster", you need to end it, and by ending it you start a new beginning of peace, Kiana saved the world by bringing Finality to Honkai. To summarise: Hope/ Finality/ Future/ End Destiny/ Origin/ Past/ Beginning Eternity/ Truth/ Present/ Middle This is talked about in HSR through Acheron, and in Genshin with the Simulanka event where 3 Goddesses represent the Beginning, Middle and End of a story/ world.
As soon as I saw Amphoreus being included in this vid, my mind immediately went to the coreflames being Stellarons. This seems like one of the best possible explanation for what a stellaron is. A LOT just adds up here.
Terminus walking time backwards is not like you imagine, at least if what I understood is correct. As I see it (and taking Jade's words as true (which I actually don't like very much, but is all I have), Elio sees the future un a very specific way, which I ironically call the tree way. He is able to see the diferent branches of futures product of various chains of choices and situations, hence why they say it was so important to gain the help of the Xianzhou. And, if as Jade says, the Stellaron Hunters follow the path of Finality, I think Elio is either a direct Emanator or just blessed by Terminus. If I'm correct, Terminus experiencing time backwards is just them going over every possible end and every possible choice as of the moment we're in. In that way. the Finality defies the Erudition and the Enigmata saying that the only thing that sets the future in stone are the choices you made. And here comes the stellar phrase of the game, given to the TB from Kafka: "When there is the chance to make a choice, make one that you know you won't regret". I've scrambled my ideas a bit. Summarizing, Terminus believes that the only thing that actually makes the future are the actions of the present and "goes backwards in time" basically overtinking every universal possibility, which is the way Elio sees the future. I think that puts it better. In any case, there it is.
There is a line in Izumo Gensei and Takama Divine Realm's story that says "The hobbling monk sang the song without a tune, for those who hold the power of kami are walking backwards, towards divinity." Yes i think walking backwards here is to reseting universe to the start point, and towards divinity is taking every choices and perhaps until THEY are content or every choices THEY made are correct and perfect.
I know this video is about Stellarons but I couldn’t help to see the part when Misha was shown made me think what if a BIG IF that Cyrene/Elysia is undergoing the same thing that Misha went through? Little Misha was created by memories and thoughts from older Misha, and was able to move around. Cyrene could probably be stuck in a dream bubble/memoria and March 7th could be like her thoughts and memories she tried to save. But in the end March 7th doesn’t recall anything. Though if she were to find Cyrene… well… she either might end up like Misha and disappear OR like it’s speculated and also teased that she will finally remember but it’ll end up badly i.e. her being “evil”.
Anyways Ive watched a couple of theory vids from this channel, and I’d say it’s been so far made me agree, think and rethink about my own little theories!
Random thing a friend found, I'd recommend looking into the "Gray Tide" mentioned by Elegy, the AS finality woman The story goes something along the lines of, on the planet of Zaum, a prophet came from the future to the planet, bringing knowledge of the advanced technology and what-not The ipc sowed discord, assassinated some people and began a war, but the important part is that another calamity also descended upon them - "a gray tide that emerged ouut of nowhere started spreading like a plague" Elegy explains that this gray tide was actually caused due to the prophet, since the disappeared timelines due to their meddling condensed into a "tsunami-like muddled memoria"
Not discounting the theory but it might be a Disco-Elysium reference as well! ZA/UM Studio made the game Disco Elysium and there is a subplot within the game of a thing called the Pale, something that is odourless, achromatic, and featureless. What connects this to the gray tide is the feature of Porch Collapse, a grey mist, the transition period between the Pale and matter itself.
I literally have the whole HSR ashikai lore downloaded on my phone so i can listen to it while falling asleep. ty for what you do! i don't even play the game much but i still tune in for the next HSR lore update from you!
I know little to nothing about hsr or its lore, but Ashikai makes everything sound so logical and obvious everytime lol, I love her video essays format it's very yummy
THE STELLARON REFERENCE IN HI3 IS A MISTRANSLATION AND HAS BEEN REMOVED ALREADY. In CN, there are just three empty characters (like ⬜️⬜️⬜️). They use 2 characters to mean “stellaron” in HSR. it is most likely they meant to say “litost is from another star system” (aka another world), but got the wrong word that accidentally means a very specific thing in the Honkai universe. 2- Who says the sea of quanta and the memory zone can’t be the same thing with a different name? I personally have been thinking about the dreamscapes and dream bubbles as the sea of quanta and bubble worlds since like 2.1. The people of mars call their part of the sea of quanta the “sea of data”, there’s precedence for it having multiple names. “[Entropy (part 2 MC)] referred to this space as the Sea of Data instead of the Sea of Quanta as [coralie and helia] do.” also, the way coralie explains the sea of quanta in the lines before this reminds me of the explanation of the hollows, but that’s getting off topic
Martians kinda do not matter, their situation is very different. Nobody is saying that they are definitely different, but we have no confirmation of opposite. And Hoyo LOVES using the same stuff over and over again.
Some corrections: Tree isn't imagined. It's actually Tree of Imaginary numbers in CN because it somewhat resembles Mandelbrot set which is described with imaginary numbers. Also, Tree analogy also comes from Everett's many worlds interpretation - infinitely branching timeline resembles tree crown. And yes, Tree posses infinite timelines even by HSR data(and that is much more clear in HI3 due to Second Key and Kolosten) - it is what Terminus is seeking, right timeline. It was born from Sea before Sea had time. It isn't about thoughts, I think, it is about chaotic mass(my guess - Universe before Big Bang and Greek creation myth as base). I do think that Memoria is somewhat related to Sea, but they can be different, no confirmation as of now. Sparkle even interacted with subsctracted Sea part(if it is, Mars situation is complicated even if we go with spoilers), and she said absolutely nothing about it. Also, Sea had no concept of time before birth of a Tree which kinda makes any guesses about intelligent life very hard - because they should exist only in space without time. I do agree with Qlipoth(and most Aeons, actually) being guardians of Tree - but what's worth noting is that they are much, much younger than Tree itself(if Solar System wasn't really derailed by branch manipulation). May come in handy later. Also about seeds - Dreamseeker in Ruimu wonders if "plants were once closest lifeform to Gods". Gods mentioned aren't Aeons, just for clarity.
You're absolutely amazing and intelligent, it's so interesting and fun to listen to you! Please make more videos about HSR, I absolutely love it's lore
what meant by "sea" is likely the Sea of Quanta. It is assumed by one of the characters in HI3 that the Imaginary Tree sprouted from the Sea of Quanta and ever since they are in the constant conflict with the Sea seeking to flood and the Tree seeking to absorb
Which would also kind of explain the “elements” of Imaginary & Quantum taking the place of the typical RPG trope of Light & Dark like elements. (A Yin & Yang type pairing) Whereas the others are your standard elements are pretty standard along with “Physical” clearly being akin to typeless or having no element. I find this interesting.
actually Herta only blew up the kitchen because she thought cooking normally would be boring and decided to cook with curios specifically. we know Herta can create a whole space station sized cake using her "magic" without the need for all the trouble. because she knows the recipe(solution), but she thinks solutions are boring so she tries to cook using different methods that don't have solutions yet
i really love how you clearly delineate your theories from the actual lore which makes you a credible source of lore information. nous and mythus should be proud hahaha
I too think that there might at least be one stellaron on Amphoreus and it's possible that the coreflames are all pieces of it. The scene in the Nameless Faces opening transitioning from Stelle to Phainon at the end gives me the impression that their common ground is going to be a stellaron, not unlike how there was a connection between the stellarons in Jarilo-VI. You know, speaking of Mythus and a memoria world. Wouldn't it be also possible that Amphoreus was never physically real and all of its history was generated from a chaotic mix the moment it came into creation... and it's been looping ever since ? A world born with its past, present and future set in stone that serves as a microcosm of the larger universe. One stellaron found its way at the intersection of three Paths to create a world and so three Aeons turned their attention towards it... resulting in an 'experiment' for Nous, Mythus and Fuli to see where it would go and how it applies to their larger universe... and the Dark Tide serves as metaphor for the looming Finality. Like the Trailblazer heading to their confrontation with Nanook, Phainon must complete his Flame-Chasing journey before time runs out. I've always thought it was a little strange that we've never seen the Sea of Quanta come up in Star Rail, but just like how you present it in the video so far I'm sure the Memory Zone is basically a part of it if not just what they call it here.
Damn this video was like...so fucking good I mean I love your videos but you kinda knocked it out of the park with that one! Especially because it would like...explain the whole of Honkai Star Rail, as well as the Hoyoverse concepts in general I just love how everything overlaps in the games just with different hues and shapes, like understanding the concepts and all the details can be carried in the other games and helps you understand the neat little iterations in that specific game as well! It really tickles my brain and that video especially helped me with that Thank you as always for sharing your thoughts and all the hard work you put into your videos!
Another aspect to consider WRT Stellarons being stars: in mythology, stars are often considered to be angels. Given that Stellarons are fallen stars and appear to have a component of will, it wouldn't be a stretch to think of them as fallen angels. Couple that with their reality-warping ability (wish granting?), and their penchant for making deals, and they have an aspect of devils, IMO.
The university sponsor is wild. Props to them, they know how to connect with the kids--through gacha games lmao. Actually genius. On another note, thank you for another great video Ashikai!! I've always been quite confused about stellarons, and this cleared up a lot of my questions. Very excited to see which of your two Amphoreous theories ends up being more correct!!
All this hypothesizing about the nature of Imaginary energy within HSR is just further convincing me that Archer from the FSN collab is definitely going to be of the Imaginary element. That guy is all about creating and transmuting objects from his thoughts.
ooooo This is made even better by stellarons being named dropped in Honkai Impact 3rd in the most recent patch. (EDIT: nvm it was in a open world quest and for some reason Hoyo hasn't implemented a way to replay dialog from open world quests in HI3 yet)
Ok I did think that Nanook has *some* involvement in Amphoreus after seeing all the gold blood/gold liquid in the trailer (like when Phainon splashed himself with it) but when you said that The Enigmata is most likely the 3rd hidden Aeon, I was like, oh.... I guess I'm wrong. BUT NOW I SEE I WASNT OFF THE MARK :D!! Just didnt hit the bullseye
I wouldn't feel bad, they've thrown in a bunch of different things (Ena's eye, Nanook's golden ichor, Finality's infinity) to throw us off the trail. I think the big mystery of Amphoreus will be us seeing first-hand the birth or death of the third Aeon.
This was fantastic, Ashikai, you once again did a phenomenal job of weaving together a narrative that not only explained HSR but Genshin and Honkai as well! On a side note, I found this particularly interesting with all the Plasmoids being recorded in the night skies around the world as of late. The similarity between them and Stellarons is almost impossible to ignore. If you know you know. Next we'll be discussing theories on the electric universe, what do you think?
Naming stellarons because... idk for funsies (I'm counting this) Herta's space station/astral express/us - odyssey Belebog - Detention Luofu - Surfeit Penacony - temptation (Speculation for) amphoreus - amnesia, stasis, or mirage (or potential all three for three paths... the other 9? Ya I'm not doing that, ashikai didn't say 12 you're hearing things.) Thought? (Also better names for penacony and amphoreus would be appreciated, the idea is that they can't be antonyms but synonyms with a more negative meaning than the path they pertain to.)
As per the relation of hsr to the honkai universe, the sea of thoughts is also known as the Sea of Quanta. It is also how Welt crossed over from hi3’s storyline to hsr
@@Zilithia 3 boxes = 3 characters has been proven to be unreliable over and over in Hoyo games so it's not impossible that it was "accurate" And they RUSHED to patch fix it it's already gone and blurred + it could be one of these things where they spell same word for mostly same thing in different ways to be "cool" like 芽衣 (Mei) and 梅 (MEI) for Raiden and doctor respectively Or not, but like what are the odds they would translate 3 character word into exactly Stellaron when it's not actually a real word used commonly. Also honestly there is a lot of simialrities between Alt Helia's world and bubble worlds harvested by Sa and stellarons so there might be a connection, even if not direct one.
Something I found interesting when I first watched the very first trailer for Amphoreus (that dropped during 2.7's stream) is that the creature shown after the blacktide arrives (25:37 if you wanna see it in this video) looked suspiciously like Death, a memetic entity
whos gonna tell her that the Imaginary Tree (Imaginary element symbol) is actually a representation/Reference to the Tree of Yggdrasil and we've SEEN it in HI3rd and the sea of Quantum is just the space around said tree?
She doesnt apply hard truths in other hoyo games as official lore to the game she’s focusing on. She does use them to guide her theories but loosely until the game focused on shows the same lore. Characters linking games don’t count since each game is still working on their universe rules. We havent seen Welt use his honkai powers yet, just the cane. Sparkle’s powers are mostly illusions with mass/explosives behind them since even mechs the size of Vita’s didn’t even come close her power
It’s probable that this time as exception we won’t have stellaron. If we remember the astral express is out of fuel so we are on Amphoreus supposedly just to recharge. But is also probable that the fact of the crisis that Amphoreus lived was because of a stellaron
Ok, I write this pre-watch. I remember how Ashi mentioned on one of the genshin streams that Stellarons predate Nanook, by which I was confused and kept "can you elaborate?". I see why you didn't) Ok I've watched, thanks for an amazing video!
9:22 my first thought when hearing your definition of a stellaron is that it sounds a bit like the traveler. A life form, probably a star, with a will to match/interact with a world itself; the stellaron having the same golden glow as the travelers innate power. Do I think there’s actually a connection? No, but it’s a fun thought anyway
5:13 this is unrelated to the video but i just wanted to share a tidbit of something i found really interesting in my years of watching astronomy-related videos. our world is surprisingly very structured and that’s because of the existence of gravity and dark matter. like you dont just find a planet randomly in space. typically, they are found near other celestial bodies too (with the exception of rogue planets) planets are found orbiting near star systems. star systems are found orbiting around supermassive black holes (arguable) and forms a galaxy. galaxies are found in clusters, attracted to each other through gravity. milky way is part of the Local Group which includes about 50 galaxies. and then these clusters form even larger clusters known as superclusters like the Laniakea Supercluster, spanning over 500 mil lightyears. and then these superclusters are connected by enormous thread-like structures of galaxies, dark matter, gas etc called filaments. these filaments have vast empty regions between them called voids this structure seems to resemble a web or sponge-like pattern. it seems like that’s the end. but upon further research, even this structure seems to be moving towards something (probably outside our observable universe). the direction theyre all heading is either orbiting or going straight to something scientists call The Great Attractor. it begs the question whether following this structure we have yet to know, could there be another structure.
the existence of the great attractor is so creepy to me because we can't (and never will) see beyond the observable universe, which means that there is something out there bigger than we can possibly imagine that is sucking us closer to it every day and WE WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO SEE IT UNTIL IT'S ALREADY CONSUMING US (or whatever it's going to do). it's so goddamn scary. i love space.
Hey Ashikai! Do you think you could cover the character of Polka Kakamond and the whole situation with Finality and the Circle of knowledge? Keep up the good work!❤️
@ I loved that part, but it’s still blurry for me, especially with all the things surrounding Rupert and device IX (I don’t recall if that’s its name though).
Question: Can you explain the sea of quanta? And why with a real-world connection why quantum only exist for us and people discover while ago imaginary numbers real in real life
The Hoyoverse is built upon the metaphysical structures known as the Sea of Quanta and Imaginary Tree. Sea of Quanta is formless Chaotic space like the waves of the Sea, the Imaginary Tree is structured Order of time like the branches of a Tree. Where they clash, Entropy takes place and reality is formed, this process is also known as Honkai. It is why the Anti Honkai organisation is called Anti-Entropy. The balance of Chaos and Order is Entropy, powerful changes that are beyond the control of humanity, Honkai is neither good or bad, it is inevitable change and Destiny.
Nanook leaving behind fractures/seeds of the imaginary tree might seem paradoxical, but since the results are unstable and destabilize everything around them, it makes sense. This divide and conquer approach to universe destruction sound actually pretty smart, as many small unstable trees are probably easier to destroy than everything together.
32:15 Kafka can tell us (as a truth) in her companion mission “your body has been transformed by the power of an Aeon. You are immune to Stellaron contamination. Therefore, you could say that you are a one-of-a-kind Stellaron vessel.” Perhaps this Aeon was Mythus
Regarding the imaginary tree and the universe - I would actually recommend digging into HI3 for information on it. Honkai Star Rail isn't a universe, its a world in a universe. The universe consists of the Imaginary Tree and the Sea of Quanta, HI3, GGZ and HSR are all on the tree as worlds. ZZZ is the only one that isn't from either, and Genshin is more than likely in the Sea, where unstable worlds are. (funfact though, the tree isnt an actual tree, its just something that was described as a tree so that it was easier to comprehend it)
It's not entirely clear right now if HSR is just another world on the Imaginary Tree or if HSR will eventually include the larger universe of the Hoyoverse i.e. the entire Imaginary Tree.
The thing about a tree is that it's a fractal. So a smaller part of the tree can still itself look like a tree. Even if the worlds in question are more like leaves than like boughs or branches, one could argue that even a leaf looks like a tree (with the whole central crease and branching smaller creases).
Hello Ashikai i just want to place a brick here but I want to alert you of a potential relation between Seele and Castorice. This is mostly baseless but I've already noticed some patterns: -Both are Scythe wielders -both have butterfly themes -And if the "dreams" I've been receiving are true, then both are also Quantum characters I believe that Seele's ultimate line of the "Sea of Butterflies" might contain implications. We know that Seele is an expy of HI3's Seele (and Veliona) which are both heavily tied to the Sea of Quantum which is a concept that is not yet really explored in HSR. HI3 Seele's "Herrscher of Rebirth" form has butterfly motifs and is a form that was gained from a technicality of a Herrscher that is born from the Sea of Quanta (Normally all Herrschers are Imaginary in nature). Meanwhile Castorice has a lot of themes regarding death and decay which is also associated with Quantum. I'd even throw a crack theory that the "Sea of Butterflies" is the same/closely related to the Sea of Quantum itself. And might even be another form of memoria zone due to the final line of Seele's ultimate describing itself as "Illusions of the Past" which I do not think is just thrown there to be edgy. Maybe those associated with the "Sea of Butterflies" could be scythe wielders/reapers? Since reaping is heavily asspciated with death. Who knows but I hope you notice this and send a feedback.
In Honkai 3rd, there exists "Star Rocks" from the Abyss(Sea of Quanta) that responded to human desires and grants wishes, until one day all the rocks exploded from overwhelming amount of wishes and destroyed Venus. In Genshin there are Visions that responds to human desires and helps them achieve their dreams. These rocks along with Stellarons are an ongoing symbolic representation of powerful "Desires", that humans are "Attached" to and would lead to "Suffering", this is because all of Hoyoverse's stories are based on 2 concepts, Taoist Yin Yang and Buddhist Earthly Desires. Yin and Yang means that there's no "pure evil/chaos", or "pure good/order", there is only Yin and Yang, the harder you try to do something, the harder it pushes back. You try too hard to do good or bad, it will fire back and cause more suffering. There's no such thing as "good" and "evil" because both are the cause and result of either, so neither is actually "good" or "evil", just Yin and Yang. The brightest light will cast the darkest shadow, light will shine brightest in the darkest night. Equilibrium will always set things back into balance, Yin and Yang is the entire circle symbol, not just either half. Earthly Desires states that Desire leads to Attachment, the more you are Attached to something, your Dreams and Desires, the more you will cause Suffering to yourself and others. Dreams are not just good things, in order to achieve them, you need to sacrifice your time and life and step on others who have similar Dreams or Paths that crosses yours. Desires create Paths in your life, if your Dream is to be the no.1 Street Fighter champion, you will create a Path in your life where you'll travel around arcades and tournaments and play Street Fighter with other players, there's no other Dream that will take you on this extremely specific Path, your Destiny. As Genshin has stated many times, your Dreams will tie down your Fate and create your Destiny, and as Vita from Honkai 3rd has stated, Dreams are rules you've set upon yourself, by having Dreams, it means that's you've created a Path in life. Destiny, Finality, Heavenly Principles, all of them are the total outcome of all Desires, Dreams and Paths in the universe combined. In order to achieve your Dreams, you will cross Paths with others, if you want to be the Street Fighter champion, it means you will personally have to defeat all others with the same Dream, you will step on their Dreams and end their Paths. Your Attachment to your Desire will bring suffering to others and to yourself as you face obstacles and struggles as you continue on your Path. This back and forth is Chaos(Quantum) and Order(Imaginary), Yin and Yang at work, the result is inevitable Destiny. The Sea of Quanta is formless Chaotic space, the Imaginary Tree is structured Order of time, where they clash, Entropy takes place and reality is formed, this process is also known as Honkai. It is why the Anti Honkai organisation is called Anti-Entropy. The balance of Chaos and Order is Entropy, powerful changes that are beyond the control of humanity, Honkai is neither good or bad, it is inevitable change and Destiny. And the Astral Express is a train with no Tracks because the Trailblaze Path is a Path that is opposing Destiny, which is why the Stellaron Hunters is said to be the enemy of the Trailblazers. However they are actually working towards the same goal because they are two sides of the same coin, Yin and Yang, and the Trailblazer is that coin, created by the Stellaron Hunters, as a member of the Astral Express.
I think a lot of the answers to Amphoreus and Stellarons are being given out in HI3 right now, but I respect the Herculean amount of effort it must take to make this and previous video with just evidence from HSR.
the universe being 'thought of' and becoming physical from it reminds me of Beholders in D&D lol They 'think' themselves into existence and can think themselves out of existence too.
I have my own theory about Terminous. According to the stellaron hunters, the universe will end in destruction, but there’s one possible path that has something after that. That’s the hunters goal, to reach that path. That fact that they need to actively work towards that suggests that the universe isn’t predestined, but instead could go in many ways. This relates to the finality, as I believe there are many aeons of finality, with each one travelling backwards along the time line of each ending, meeting and combing with its counterparts.
It may be more accurate to think of the "Tree" as a syntax tree rather than as something like a supercluster, which arguably is still thinking about it too physically. The supercluster is a "tree" in space at an instant in time, while the syntax tree would be a tree in a dimension orthogonal to spacetime (where "spacetime" would be the progression of the sentence, metaphorically speaking).
while surprising to see a college sponsoring a lore video, kinda on theme. Also SNHU and Empire State University are the two schools I've been looking at for going back to school once i can afford to live
You might be close to what the Sea of Quanta actually is, but the Imaginary Tree exists and Otto Apocalypse and the MC both visit forms of it. If you go look at the Impact 3rd for the "death of Otto Apocalypse" cutscene you can see a good view of it, it's literally the same place that you visit when talking to the Aeons when you find the lance of Preservation. The Sea of Quanta is what you are walking on to reach the tree. This whole theory is mostly fleshed out already in HI:3rd and is probably very important for the story ahead, which I believe will have something to do with the Void Archives. The Fragmentum are related to the Imaginary Tree, they found in HI:3rd at the base of the tree where the Sea and the Tree meet and act as kind of the guardians along the tree and its branches, they're physical manifestations of the tree, think of them as fallen leaves that are corrupted by the Honkai energy created by the Sea of Quanta and are being corrupted into data. Which makes the liquid dripping from Nanook and the Titans likely either raw Honkai energy, which courses through Tree from the Sea, both nourishing and poisoning it. My Theory is that Amphoreous is a planet that has already been consumed, or in the process of being consumed by the Honkai energy and that the Flame chasers are, as they were in HI:3rd in the previous era, fighting the Honkai to allow their existence in the universe and we will likely come across some form of finality there.
All things are set to its end, but not all ends are the same. Long The Permanence even vanished, likely forcably so by Finality, perhaps sealed like Tayzzyronth. There is still the mysterious third method that Kefka spoke of which I presume is playing a Aeon into a mortal host and destorying it, or letting it live out its like (I think this is similar to Akivilli) Though this is all besides the point. The point is the mountain we must go upon is predetermined there is no way around but the story's outcome and result may yet change. I think you're right that this old/new world is a sample of the plan ahead. The Seeds I see planted in honkai Star Rail are really fun to see.
Im guessing 'primordial chaos' is where the guess at the imaginary tree initial soup was derived from. Also now that i think about it for a bit, it would fit so nicely if said soup could be considered the sea of quanta and that all worlds which are separated can be considered each their tree. But that implies an interesting thing, that the sea of quanta is memoria and that memoria has ties to "quantum" Edit i wrote this super early into the video lol
in hi3 and in ggz we can clearly see that Imaginary Tree is a literal thing and its surrounded by Sea of Quanta from where Quantum element comes from (while Imaginary comes from Imaginary) and every leaf and branch of Imaginary Tree is its own world and to travel between them you need to be a Herrscher or have power of an Aeon, thats why Nameless can travel between world bcs they travel trough paths Aeon Akavili already made, so again Imaginary Tree is literal bcs we can see it in HI3 and idk if you could put equation symbol between sea of Quanta and sea of memoria
The plan to save amphoreus actually make sense in the grand scheme of things. Amphoreus is basically dead in reality and most probably, "saving" it by any means brings a huge unknown onto the equation for the end of the world thus making it stray from the path it is taking. One of the crucial parts that Elio has planned to route out another way for ending the universe.
What if the stellaron's title of Cancer of All Worlds is accurate. What could happen is that nanook's destruction is akin to radiation to a normal cell (star). Where the body that metaphorical cell belongs to is the imaginary tree. This destruction (radiation) then corrupts the stars (cells) and creates a stellaron (cancerous cell). These stellarons corrupt the nearby parts of the imaginary tree (matter) from this matter, creates fragmentums and the other side effects you describe in the video. This would be quite interesting The Preservation would then quite obviously be against anything stellaron. This also bring into question why the Stellaron Hunters collect them... Are they acting like some immune system? I've not completely finished the video, but I needed to write down some thoughts now I have them.
And Elio is called destiny’s slave (I think) which implies they might not like their current situation and thus try to change it trough the trailblazer It makes so much sense
I agree with the thought that Kephale is holding a stellaron though I was thinking ut was a situation like Jarilo VI where they were tricked into thinking they needed to use it to hold back the Black Tide. Regarding the Black Tide, I do think that it is the work of Nanook as his means of destroying the Imaginary Tree. I think it will be revealed that the Black Tide is actually the Sea of Quanta entering the universe. From Honkai Impact lore the Imaginary Tree came from the Sea of Quanta and they have been constantly trying to destroy each other, thr Sea specifically trying to drown the tree. So I'd wager Nanook is using that to their advantage to destroy the universe. It might also explain why there are so many stellarons there if all of the core flames are stellarons. That said, I do like your theory and explanation for why it's Enigmata as the third path, it makes a lot of sense.
I like to think is not so simply as matter phisycs otherwise i would be dissapointed at the genious sociaty for not being able to anything they want to stellarons
What I find interesting about the Stellaron is that it seems to have a partial will/voice of it's own. It's canonical that the MC's Stellaron talks to them (as mentioned in a reply to one of Dan Heng's texts: "I can't completely understand what you're feeling, but is it kinda like the Voice of the Stellaron?") I wonder how much of the MC's Stellaron's will, will come into play.
Worth pointing out that we are also getting the Fate/Stay Night collaboration this year (and have the time frame), plus have already been told this last stream that the Amphoreus story will be happening all the way through the 3.x versions, up to 3.7. This would mean that the collaboration will likely intertwine with the Amphoreus story (which in itself makes sense, considering the similarities between Memosprites and Servants). Why I do say this as if it's relevant? Well, ever since the start of the game, the story has been having a stupid amount of similarities to Fate/Grand Order's own story (and yes, both Stay Night and Grand Order are canon to the Fate lore), which I won't spoil for obvious reasons. What I CAN say though is something that holds true for any Fate work as a whole, and that is the inclusion of the Holy Grail, which is eerily similar to a Stellaron... Add to this the fact that Amphoreus is being plagued by the Black Tide, something also similar to the Holy Grail Mud (which can explain why it would be a MUDDIED world), and that the land itself seems to be summoning heroes (pretty sure this is how it was described in the first Amphoreus trailer (?)) just like Rogue Servants appear without a master along various Fate works, and there are already way too many coincidences to ignore.
**NOTES & CORRECTIONS**
> So KitKat and Jesse pointed out that there's actually TWO imaginary tree theories - one explains the current universe, and another explains the multiverse (to put it simply). There's not a WHOLE lot of lore to work with to make a great comparison between the two BUT! There are three really interesting things that may be true if we recognize both the Multiverse Tree and the Universe Tree as connected but separate entities:
>> First - the boundaries of the universe HAVE been reached by the Xianzhou and the IPC (and maybe others), and I'm wondering if Qlipoth's "wall" is actually them rebuilding the barrier between universe-trees to keep the Leviathans out.
And that's too big for me to want to think about LMAO
>> Third - Cancer of All Worlds might just be cosmic brain cancer.
What about the imaginary tree from Welt’s universe? Is that part of the multiverse?
STELLARON; STELLAR priON?

At least to me so I'm going to write it down
Because cancer isn't just growth.
I think the cancer comparison is the best way to explain how the Hunt views Yaoshi and the followers of Abundance.
Misteln mentioned that in the 6th bubble universe, she had to euthanize an abnormal stigma with uncontrollable growth and referred to it as "the cancer of the universe"
Chapter 37 was released on May 2023 while HSR was released on April 2023
The most recent chapter also revealed that (spoiler)

Wasn't there also a line about the Finality being both the end of the current universe and the beginning of a new one?
To summarise:
Hope/ Finality/ Future/ End
Destiny/ Origin/ Past/ Beginning
Eternity/ Truth/ Present/ Middle
This is talked about in HSR through Acheron, and in Genshin with the Simulanka event where 3 Goddesses represent the Beginning, Middle and End of a story/ world.
Getting sponsored by a university when I'm preparing to find one I want to go to is suspicious timing😮

There is a line in Izumo Gensei and Takama Divine Realm's story that says "The hobbling monk sang the song without a tune, for those who hold the power of kami are walking backwards, towards divinity."
Yes i think walking backwards here is to reseting universe to the start point, and towards divinity is taking every choices and perhaps until THEY are content or every choices THEY made are correct and perfect.
You…. Got sponsored by a university???????
Random thing a friend found, I'd recommend looking into the "Gray Tide" mentioned by Elegy, the AS finality woman
The story goes something along the lines of, on the planet of Zaum, a prophet came from the future to the planet, bringing knowledge of the advanced technology and what-not
The ipc sowed discord, assassinated some people and began a war, but the important part is that another calamity also descended upon them - "a gray tide that emerged ouut of nowhere started spreading like a plague"
Elegy explains that this gray tide was actually caused due to the prophet, since the disappeared timelines due to their meddling condensed into a "tsunami-like muddled memoria"
“[Entropy (part 2 MC)] referred to this space as the Sea of Data instead of the Sea of Quanta as [coralie and helia] do.”
also, the way coralie explains the sea of quanta in the lines before this reminds me of the explanation of the hollows, but that’s getting off topic
Martians kinda do not matter, their situation is very different.
Nobody is saying that they are definitely different, but we have no confirmation of opposite. And Hoyo LOVES using the same stuff over and over again.
Some corrections:
Tree isn't imagined.
Haha this was posted just as I was binging your videos for background noise while cleaning. Timing couldn’t have been more perfect!
what meant by "sea" is likely the Sea of Quanta.
Keep the videos coming that’s related to HSR
oh another star rail theory? star rail enjoyers (me) ARE EATING GOOD TONIGHT AAAAA
Ashikai can cook without blowing up the kitchen, unlike Herta.
well that might be debatable given her appliance lore
cooking with theories yes, but also _cooked_ in the kitchen
It’s giving NileRed
Really smart and intelligent but by god they both get mega stumped by making food
actually Herta only blew up the kitchen because she thought cooking normally would be boring and decided to cook with curios specifically. we know Herta can create a whole space station sized cake using her "magic" without the need for all the trouble. because she knows the recipe(solution), but she thinks solutions are boring so she tries to cook using different methods that don't have solutions yet
Spending the first 9 minutes explaining the equilibrium is wild.
i really love how you clearly delineate your theories from the actual lore which makes you a credible source of lore information. nous and mythus should be proud hahaha
You..just earned yourself a sub. I had so many ooo and OHHHH moments here I had to let my shock be heard

Damn this video was like...so fucking good
I mean I love your videos but you kinda knocked it out of the park with that one!
Especially because it would like...explain the whole of Honkai Star Rail, as well as the Hoyoverse concepts in general
I just love how everything overlaps in the games just with different hues and shapes, like understanding the concepts and all the details can be carried in the other games and helps you understand the neat little iterations in that specific game as well! It really tickles my brain and that video especially helped me with that
Thank you as always for sharing your thoughts and all the hard work you put into your videos!
always a great day when you upload a new video
I forgot there hasn't been an upload recently. 5.3 was already that hype! I've replayed it (as well as 5.1) over and over.
The goddess of theories strikes again
Important thing: the fragmentum flowers loop like a mobius
ooooo This is made even better by stellarons being named dropped in Honkai Impact 3rd in the most recent patch.

Whoah I can't believe I'm early for this one. Nice!
Great essay video as always!!!
your theory makes so much sense oh my god
This is why Mythus is my favorite Aeon & Gallagher is my favorite character.
The Enigmata is the best path.
I think the big mystery of Amphoreus will be us seeing first-hand the birth or death of the third Aeon.
aside from the gold stuff there is also the chess master Lord Ravager that is being implied in one of the trailers
Or he isn't directly involved, the golden blood is just the process of destruction the planet is undergoing
Naming stellarons because... idk for funsies
(I'm counting this) Herta's space station/astral express/us - odyssey
Belebog - Detention
Luofu - Surfeit
Penacony - temptation
(Speculation for) amphoreus - amnesia, stasis, or mirage (or potential all three for three paths... the other 9? Ya I'm not doing that, ashikai didn't say 12 you're hearing things.)
Thought?
(Also better names for penacony and amphoreus would be appreciated, the idea is that they can't be antonyms but synonyms with a more negative meaning than the path they pertain to.)
ngl you are the highest autority for all hoyo game lore in my opinion
HUH?? ASHIKAI GOT SPONSORED BY A WHOLE ASS UNIVERSITY? Love that lmaooooooooo
Meanwhile there is some mistranslation adventure in honkai impact third where one of the character's home is refered to as a Stellaron.

Or not, but like what are the odds they would translate 3 character word into exactly Stellaron when it's not actually a real word used commonly.
Also honestly there is a lot of simialrities between Alt Helia's world and bubble worlds harvested by Sa and stellarons so there might be a connection, even if not direct one.

1:20 The third candidat is IX shadow
But is also probable that the fact of the crisis that Amphoreus lived was because of a stellaron
a uni sponsor?! get it ashikaii
That's a very good theory. I consider myself pretty knowledgeable about HSR lore yet I don't think I would've ever thought of that.
Ok, I write this pre-watch. I remember how Ashi mentioned on one of the genshin streams that Stellarons predate Nanook, by which I was confused and kept "can you elaborate?". I see why you didn't)
Ok I've watched, thanks for an amazing video!
Hoyoverse MCs and reshaping the world according to their experiences as the end goal of their journey. Name a more iconic duo
University Sponsor fits so hard actually haha
I can't get over how funny it is to watch this serious lore video with QQ doing her dorky faces
5:13 this is unrelated to the video but i just wanted to share a tidbit of something i found really interesting in my years of watching astronomy-related videos.
our world is surprisingly very structured and that’s because of the existence of gravity and dark matter. like you dont just find a planet randomly in space. typically, they are found near other celestial bodies too (with the exception of rogue planets)
planets are found orbiting near star systems. star systems are found orbiting around supermassive black holes (arguable) and forms a galaxy. galaxies are found in clusters, attracted to each other through gravity. milky way is part of the Local Group which includes about 50 galaxies.
and then these clusters form even larger clusters known as superclusters like the Laniakea Supercluster, spanning over 500 mil lightyears.
and then these superclusters are connected by enormous thread-like structures of galaxies, dark matter, gas etc called filaments. these filaments have vast empty regions between them called voids this structure seems to resemble a web or sponge-like pattern.
it seems like that’s the end. but upon further research, even this structure seems to be moving towards something (probably outside our observable universe). the direction theyre all heading is either orbiting or going straight to something scientists call The Great Attractor.
it begs the question whether following this structure we have yet to know, could there be another structure.
the existence of the great attractor is so creepy to me because we can't (and never will) see beyond the observable universe, which means that there is something out there bigger than we can possibly imagine that is sucking us closer to it every day and WE WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO SEE IT UNTIL IT'S ALREADY CONSUMING US (or whatever it's going to do). it's so goddamn scary. i love space.
@@aspillust “it’s so goddamn scary, i love space” 😂
Hey Ashikai! Do you think you could cover the character of Polka Kakamond and the whole situation with Finality and the Circle of knowledge? Keep up the good work!❤️
Yoooo that's good, the story line of the unknowable domain was so peak especially the goose chase with Polka, she reminds me of the Jack the Ripper
@ I loved that part, but it’s still blurry for me, especially with all the things surrounding Rupert and device IX (I don’t recall if that’s its name though).
17:25 “We are all of us stardust, held together by love, for an instant.” -Aaravos
@GuyWithAnAmazingHat I know, I just heard in Hi3 we the players higher dimensional being, i don't want to any arguments just fact
@@ballboys607 it isnt not entirely clear, its 100% sure it is
on the tree i mean
I feel like people are ignoring the nihility that effected Acheron planet with blackness
Hello Ashikai i just want to place a brick here but I want to alert you of a potential relation between Seele and Castorice. This is mostly baseless but I've already noticed some patterns:
-Both are Scythe wielders
-both have butterfly themes
-And if the "dreams" I've been receiving are true, then both are also Quantum characters
I believe that Seele's ultimate line of the "Sea of Butterflies" might contain implications.
I think a lot of the answers to Amphoreus and Stellarons are being given out in HI3 right now, but I respect the Herculean amount of effort it must take to make this and previous video with just evidence from HSR.
the universe being 'thought of' and becoming physical from it reminds me of Beholders in D&D lol
They 'think' themselves into existence and can think themselves out of existence too.
Also SNHU and Empire State University are the two schools I've been looking at for going back to school once i can afford to live
it is teased that The Herta did research on stelaron, so yes, we will probably have more info, from her.
There is still the mysterious third method that Kefka spoke of which I presume is playing a Aeon into a mortal host and destorying it, or letting it live out its like (I think this is similar to Akivilli)
Though this is all besides the point.
But that implies an interesting thing, that the sea of quanta is memoria and that memoria has ties to "quantum"
Edit i wrote this super early into the video lol
I am eating dinner while watching and I almost choked on that uni sponsor segment 😅.
in hi3 and in ggz we can clearly see that Imaginary Tree is a literal thing and its surrounded by Sea of Quanta from where Quantum element comes from (while Imaginary comes from Imaginary) and every leaf and branch of Imaginary Tree is its own world and to travel between them you need to be a Herrscher or have power of an Aeon, thats why Nameless can travel between world bcs they travel trough paths Aeon Akavili already made, so again Imaginary Tree is literal bcs we can see it in HI3 and idk if you could put equation symbol between sea of Quanta and sea of memoria
Love your Theorys!
The plan to save amphoreus actually make sense in the grand scheme of things.
Amphoreus is basically dead in reality and most probably, "saving" it by any means brings a huge unknown onto the equation for the end of the world thus making it stray from the path it is taking.
One of the crucial parts that Elio has planned to route out another way for ending the universe.
sorry a UNI SPONSOR?! wild, congratulations ashikai!!
I still just think of them as HSR's version of FGO'S holy grails.
im crying at the uni sponsor that's crazy
And Elio is called destiny’s slave (I think) which implies they might not like their current situation and thus try to change it trough the trailblazer
It makes so much sense
And what if (this is a crack theory) the traveler is a nameless
I have no real evidence but you get it
I agree with the thought that Kephale is holding a stellaron though I was thinking ut was a situation like Jarilo VI where they were tricked into thinking they needed to use it to hold back the Black Tide.
Wow the only time ive seen a game lore channel sponsored by an university
