- I played chess against GM Jon-Ludvig Hammer whilst visiting the Good Knight chess bar in Oslo, Norway :) Even though his rating now is 2600, he has had a rating of 2705 in the past making him then a super grandmaster - hope you enjoy the video :)

Ngl, Anna is one of the reasons I started playing and loving chess. I got interested through an influencer event, then came across Anna on YT and now I'm addicted.

Thats why i like Lennox Lewis, while i am not even fan of boxing. He plays chess for fun, and after his chess user name came out many good players and GM's wanted to play with him, and he accepted. And as result his rating dropped massively, as he did lose every single game of course

Anna, your time loss is only because of him playing the king unconventionally at the beginning, and trolling you for time. Your continuation draw is a sweet achievement.
It’s not a troll. I was prepping my lines in the Kingsindian Smirnov today and the engine randomly suggested the same move in a different opening. It didn’t make too much sense for me, but I saw that it was played by several strong players.
The game is the game and she lost if we’re being honest 😂
It is a friendly game and I'm sure both sides enjoyed conversation about this rare line of the game more than flagging

He also has a wicked sense of humor, if you've seen much of him doing commentary. Really funny with frank and candid honesty.

That guy is obviously smart as hell, and it’s amazing how good he is at seeming disarming and very ‘casual’ while at one point literally using words and suggestion to “maneuver” Anna into doing something that he wanted on the board. I mean it in a positive way and in the context of the game, super interesting watch and showed the strengths of both players.
Hamer was right about what he said in the beginning, he is a Teddy Bear (the only teddy Bear I know of who's a GM, btw). Anna's draw has an asterisk by it, but clearly all the tournament play she's done lately has elevated her game. She has the talent, dedication and competitive spirit to become world class before long.
This draw was pure skill.
When Anna's time was at 0:00 she found the stockfish best move, requesting to continue. It's a brilliant move, playing on the pride of the opponent who believes it's impossible for him to not win the game. Excellent play.

That was an amazing match, very entertaining! And even though I stopped the video after every move, I could not anticipate a single response. I felt like Barbie watching Einstein and Oppenheimer discussing nuclear fusion. So out of my league! I did learn some trolling techniques and that you should never listen to your opponent.

Best thing ever is Hammer commentating tournament games from Anna or even the Botezsisters. He is sarcastic, evil, funny, selfaware and knows chess

Amazing game! Everything other than the d5 pawn is helping you in the position and I love that (the c pawns will help in a checkmate if king moves to a6)

That's a gentleman. At his level, holding back the competitive drive is hard. He had no reason at all to let Miss Anna continue, but he did. What a good guy. But I must admit. It would be so very hard to say no to Miss Anna.

Just out of habit I guess. It's important to maintain muscle memory when you're into an activity with tight time constraints.

Guys even if she lose on time but by this rating difference he still didn’t win after he agrees to continue, it’s a social game after all with talking etc. that interferes with time as well, not just silently playing serious in a tournament, and they used the exact same time control despite their rating difference. don’t spread so much negativity. They’re both good chess players.
